Before installation, wear an ESD wrist strap, and make sure the wrist strap makes good
skin contact and is reliably grounded.在以下安装交换机的过程中，操作者需佩戴防静电
腕带，请确保防静电腕带已经正确接地并与皮肤良好接触。
The installation tools are not provided with the switch. Prepare them yourself.

Before installing fan trays, make sure the airflow direction of the fan trays meets the ventilation
requirements at the installation site.
在安装风扇模块前，请根据风扇模块的风向标识，确认气流方向和安装环境的通风要求一致。
Before you install a fan tray, install a switching fabric module in the switching fabric
module slot below the target fan tray slot.
请严格按照先安装交换引擎板再安装风扇模块的顺序进行安装。
To install two fan trays, make sure the models of the two fan trays are the same.
安装两个风扇模块时，为保证交换机正常运行，请用户务必安装两块同型号的风扇模块。

When two fan trays are installed, follow these guidelines to replace the fan trays:
1. If one fan tray fails, the switch can operate correctly if you keep the failed fan tray in
position, and immediate replacement is not required. If you want to replace the failed
fan tray, finish the replacement within 3 minutes.
2. If both fan trays fail, replace the fan trays one after another. Make sure the device
does not operate for more than 2 minutes when no fan trays are installed.
Make sure the new fan tray is the same model as the replaced one.
1. 若两个风扇模块中的一个故障，在保证故障风扇在位的情况下，设备可以继续正常运
行，不需要立即更换，如需更换，请用户在3分钟内完成风扇模块的更换；
2. 若两个风扇模块同时故障，请逐个进行更换，为防止高温导致的设备宕机，设备在无
风扇模块情况下的工作时间不能超过2分钟。

Determine the required number of fan trays based on the number of installed switching
fabric modules. If one switching fabric module is installed, one fan tray is required. If two
switching fabric modules are installed, two fan trays are required.

购单风扇模块，安装双交换引擎板时，必须选购双风扇模块。

When the switching fabric module is pulled half way out
of the chassis as shown in callout 1, use both hands to
support the bottom central section and pull the switching
fabric module out as shown in callout 2.

Routing signal cables 信号线布线（推荐）
Before connecting the power cord, connect the grounding cable and make sure the switch
is reliably grounded. 连接电源线前，需先连接保护地线，保证交换机正确接地。
Connect the power cord to the switch first and then to the power source to avoid bodily
injury. 连接电源线时，请先完成电源线与交换机侧的连接，再进行电源线与供电系统的连
接，以免造成人身伤害。
Airflow through the chassis 交换机的风道设计
The switch provides front-to-back (port side to power module side) or back-to-front (power
module side to port side) airflow depending on the fan trays.
交换机采用前后风道设计，通过配置不同的风扇模块，可提供“电源侧到端口侧”和“端口
侧到电源侧”两种气流方向，满足不同环境下的散热要求。

H3C recommends that you use an H3C adjustable cable management bracket to route
signal cables. An H3C adjustable cable management bracket includes the mounting rail
and cable bracket. The H3C adjustable cable management bracket can be extended to
90 mm (3.54 in), 111.5 mm (4.39 in), and 150 mm (5.91 in) if you attach the mounting
rail to different positions on the cable bracket. H3C可调节式走线架由固定架和走线架组
成，通过调整固定架与走线架结合处螺钉安装的位置，走线架可分别向外伸出90mm、
111.5mm和150mm。
The cable routing way in the figure is for illustration only. Route the signal cables from the
chassis left or right as required. 如下走线方式仅作示意，请根据机房的实际情况安排信号
连接线缆从机箱左侧走线或右侧走线。
Connecting power cords 连接电源线
Connect the power cord and then use a removable Cable tie to secure the power cord to the handle
of the power module. 连接电源线，并使用可拆卸式扎带固定交流电源线，以防止电源线脱落。
