USING YOUR KETTLE
If you are using the kettle for the first time, it is recommended
that you clean your kettle before use by boiling a full kettle of
water twice and then discarding the water.
1. Place the kettle on the flat surface.
2. To fill the kettle, open the lid by pressing down on the lid
release button, once filled with the desired amount of water
close the lid.
Always fill the kettle between the minimum and maximum
marks. Too little water will result in the kettle switching off
before the water has boiled.
NOTE: Do not fill the water over the maximum level, as water may
spill out of the spout when boiling. Ensure that the lid is firmly in
place before plugging the power outlet.
3. Position the kettle on the power base.
4. Connect the plug into a power outlet. Press down the switch
and the indicator will light up. The kettle will start to boil
the water. The kettle will switch off automatically once the
water has boiled. If necessary, please wait 30 seconds before
re-boiling the water. You may shut off the power by lifting
switch up or directly lift the kettle from the power base at any
moment to stop boiling process.
5. Lift the kettle to pour the water.
NOTE: Operate carefully when pouring the water from your kettle as
boiling water may result in scald, besides, don’t open the lid while
the water in the kettle is hot.
6. The kettle will not re-boil until the switch is pressed again.
The kettle may be stored on the power base when not in use.
NOTE: Ensure power supply is turned off when kettle is not in use.

AUTOMATIC SAFETY CUT OFF
An automatic safety cut off is fitted to the kettle for your
protection. This is to protect against dry boiling. It will operate if
the kettle is switched ON when there is insufficient water inside
the kettle. If this should occur, switch the kettle OFF and remove
from the power outlet.
Allow the kettle to cool for 10 minutes then refill with cold water
before plugging back in to the power outlet.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Always disconnect the appliance from the power outlet and cool
it down completely before cleaning.
1. Never immerse the kettle, power cord or power base in water,
or allow moisture to come in to contact with these parts.
2. Wipe the appearance of body with a cloth moistened (not wet)
with a soapy water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid
the use of scouring pads, harsh detergents, solvents, polish
abrasive or aerosol cleaners as they may damage the surface
of the product. Dry with a clean, soft cloth before storage, or
reconnecting to the power.
3. Remember to clean the filter at intervals. For easier cleaning,
detach the filter by pressing down the tab of filter inside the
kettle and then replace it after cleaning.
4. When not use or storage, the power cord may be wound
under the base.
CAUTION: Do not use chemical, steel, wooden or abrasive cleaners
to clean the outside of the kettle to prevent the gloss loss.

DESCALING
Regularly removing deposits of lime scale from inside the kettle
will prolong your kettle’s life, ensuring maximum performance
and energy savings. The kettle can be descaled using commonly
available descaling products. In this case, leave the product to
act, then rinse thoroughly.
Then boil at least two full kettles of water, disposing of the
boiling water safely, to remove any residue of the product before
use.
Alternatively, you can use common household vinegar:
1. Fill the kettle with 4 cups of cold tap water and bring to a boil.
2. Add 2 cups of white vinegar.
3. Leave stand for at least 1 hour or overnight to act.
4. Empty the kettle.
5. Fill the kettle with water and boil it. Empty the kettle,
