SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, the following basic safety
precautions should always be taken.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above
and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities
or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe
way and understand the hazards involved.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with
the appliance.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children
without supervision.
• Keep the appliance and its mains cord out of the reach of children
younger than 8 when the appliance is switched on or is cooling
down.
• While the water is boiling, or just after the water has been boiled,
avoid contacting with steam from the spout.
• Always take care to pour boiling water slowly and carefully without
tipping the kettle too fast.
• Before you connect the kettle to the mains supply, make sure that
the voltage indicated on the rating plate, located on the bottom of
the jug kettle matches the mains voltage in your home. If it does
not, contact your dealer and do not use the kettle.
• To protect against electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug, or
any part of the kettle in water or other liquid.
• Before switching the kettle on, ensure the water level is between
the Min and Max lines and that the lid is completely closed.
• If the kettle boils dry, allow 15 minutes to cool before refilling with
cold water. The safety cut out will automatically reset during this
time.
• The kettle will switch off automatically when the water has boiled.
You may switch the kettle off before the boiling process is complete
by using the on/off switch.

• After the kettle has switched off automatically, (or has been
switched off manually) it may need time to cool down. After 15-20
seconds, the kettle can be switched on again.
• Always take care when pouring boiling water and never tip the
kettle excessively.
• Should you need to refill the kettle after it has boiled, allow the
kettle to cool sufficiently before opening the lid.
• Place the kettle on a stable flat heat resistant surface.
• Ensure that the kettle is switched off before removing it from its
stand.
• Prevent children from pulling on the mains cord or knocking the
kettle
• Ensure that the mains lead does not overhang the worktop or come
into contact with hot surfaces and gas rings.
• Before cleaning the kettle disconnect from the power supply and
wait until it has cooled down.
• Only use the cord supplied with this kettle. If a replacement is
required, only approved components may be used.
• The outside surface of the kettle may get hot during use, please
take care when using the kettle.
• Never fill the water over the maximum water level. Doing so may
cause the kettle to splash during the boiling cycle.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified person.
• Never leave the appliance unattended when in use.
• This appliance is intended for household use only
• Please ensure the wall outlet in your house is well earthed.
• Please note that the metal housing on this kettle can get “HOT”
during use. Always pick up the kettle using the handle.

USING YOUR KETTLE
If you are using the kettle for the first time, it is recommended that
you should clean your kettle before use by boiling the Max capacity of
water once and then discarding the water, repeat this step twice.
Wipe the surface with a damp cloth once cooled.
1. Place the kettle on the flat surface.
2. To fill the kettle, remove it from the power base and open the lid by
pulling on lid, once fill with the desired amount of water pop the lid
back on. The water level must be within the Min and the Max level.
Too little water will cause the kettle switching off before the water
has boiled.
NOTE: Do not fill the water over the maximum level, as water may spill
out of the spout when boiling. Ensure that the lid is firmly in place
before plugging the power outlet.
3. Position the kettle on the power base.
4. Connect the plug into a power outlet.
5. Once powered all 6 buttons will flash blue for 1 – 2 seconds.
6. To boil the kettle press the button. The default temperature is
100oC which will light up at the same time and the kettle will start
to boil.
To change temperature, select one of the other options 70 oC, 80 oC
or 90 oC after pressing the button. The kettle will then heat the
water to the selected temperature.
NOTE: Ensure that the lid is firmly closed during operation.
1. Lift the kettle from the power base and then pour the water.
NOTE: Be careful when pouring the water from your kettle as boiling
water may result in scalding, besides, don’t open the lid while the
water in the kettle is hot.
2. The kettle may be stored on the power base when not in use.
NOTE: Always disconnect the power supply when not in use

KEEP WARM FUNCTION
This handy keep warm function will make sure water stays hot for up
to 30 minutes too, so you can enjoy a second helping. Just press
the Keep Warm button once the kettle has reached the desired
temperature.

AUTOMATIC SAFETY CUT OFF
An automatic safety cut off is fitted to the kettle for your protection.
This is to protect against dry boiling. It will operate if the kettle is
switched ON when there is insufficient water inside the kettle. If this
should occur, switch the kettle OFF and removed the power cord from
the power outlet. Allow cooling for 10minutes then refill with cold
water before plugging back in to the power outlet.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Always disconnect the appliance from the power outlet and leave
it to cool down completely before cleaning. Clean the exterior of
the product by wiping with a slightly dampened (not wet) soft cloth.
Remove stubborn spots with a cloth moistened (not wet) with a soapy
water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid the use of scouring pads,
harsh detergents, solvents, polish abrasive or aerosol cleaners as they
may damage the surface of the product. Dry with a clean, soft cloth
before storage, or reconnecting to the power.
DESCALING
Regularly removing deposits of lime scale from inside the kettle
will prolong your kettle’s life, ensuring maximum performance
and energy savings. The kettle can be descaled using commonly
available descaling products. In this case, leave the product to act,
then rinse thoroughly.
Then boil at least two full kettles of water, disposing of the boiling
water safely, to remove any residue of the product before use.

CLEANING THE FILTER
Ensure the kettle is switched off and cool before removal.
1. Open the lid and lift the filter out from its holder
2. Wash the filter with warm soapy water. Rinse and dry with a clean,
soft cloth
3. Insert the filter back into the body making sure it is correctly
located.
Alternatively, you can use common household vinegar:
1. Fill the kettle with 4 cups of cold tap water and bring to a boil.
2. Add 2 cups of white vinegar.
3. Leave stand for at least 1 hour or overnight to act.
4. Empty the kettle.
5. Fill the kettle with water and boil it. Empty the kettle, disposing of
the water safely. Repeat this operation at least twice.
After descaling, ensure that the electrical connections are completely
dry before reusing the kettle.
