IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should
always be followed, including the following:
• Read all Instructions prior to first use.
• Do not touch hot surfaces.
• Use handles or knobs when holding the appliance.
• This Kettle can be used by children aged from 8 years and above
and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities
or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the Kettle in a safe way
and understand the hazards involved.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with
the Kettle.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children
without supervision.
• Keep the Kettle and its mains cord out of the reach of children
younger than 8 when the Kettle is switched on or is cooling down.
• While the water is boiling, or just after the water has been boiled,
avoid contacting with steam from the spout.
• Always take care to pour boiling water slowly and carefully without
tipping the kettle too fast.
• Before you connect the kettle to the mains supply, make sure that
the voltage indicated on the rating plate, located on the bottom of
the jug kettle matches the mains voltage in your home. If it does
not, contact your dealer and do not use the kettle.
• To protect against electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug, or
any part of the kettle in water or other liquid.
• Before switching the kettle on, ensure the water level is between
the Min and Max lines and that the lid is completely closed.
• If the kettle boils dry, allow 15 minutes to cool before refilling with
cold water. The safety cut out will automatically reset during this
time.

• The kettle will switch off automatically when the water has boiled.
You may switch the kettle off before the boiling process is complete
by using the on/off switch.
• After the kettle has switched off automatically, (or has been
switched off manually) it may need time to cool down. After 15-20
seconds, the kettle can be switched on again.
• Always take care when pouring boiling water and never tip the
kettle excessively.
• Should you need to refill the kettle after it has boiled, allow the
kettle to cool sufficiently before opening the lid.
• Place the kettle on a stable flat heat resistant surface.
• Ensure that the kettle is switched off before removing it from its
stand.
• Prevent children from pulling on the mains cord or knocking the
kettle
• Ensure that the mains lead does not overhang the worktop or come
into contact with hot surfaces and gas rings.
• Before cleaning the kettle disconnect from the power supply and
wait until it has cooled down.
• Only use the cord supplied with this kettle.
• The outside surface of the kettle may get hot during use, please
take care when using the kettle.
• Never fill the water over the maximum water level. Doing so may
cause the kettle to splash during the boiling cycle.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified person.
• Never leave the Kettle unattended when in use.

HOW TO USE YOUR KETTLE
This Kettle is for household use only.
BEFORE USING YOUR KETTLE
• Remove all packing materials, any stickers and the plastic band
around the power plug.
• Wash all parts as instructed in the CARE AND MAINTENANCE
section.
• Select a level surface where this kettle is to be used allowing
enough space for steam to escape without damage to counters,
cabinets and walls.
• Fill kettle to maximum fill line with cold water. Bring to boil,
discard and repeat. Kettle is now ready for use.
IMPORTANT
• DO NOT fill the kettle with any substance other than water.
• DO NOT operate the kettle without water.
• DO NOT operate the kettle without the filter in place.
• DO NOT overfill the kettle. (Keep water level below the max fill line
on the water window.)
HEATING CONTROLS
- Press to turn the kettle ON / OFF
- Press to activate or cancel the KEEP WARM function
- Press to decrease the temperature
- Press to increase the temperature

FILLING THE KETTLE
1. Remove the kettle from the base.
2. Pull lid knob up to remove the lid.
3. Make sure the removable filter is in place.
4. To install: put filter in kettle, aligning the filter with the inside/back
of the pour spout.
5. Fill with desired amount of cold tap water. Use the water window
on the outside of the kettle as a guide for 2 cups up to 1.7 liters (7
cups).
6. Put the lid back on the kettle.
7. Unwind cord from base.
8. Place the kettle securely on the base.
BOILING WATER
• Place the filled kettle onto the power base.
• Plug the power base into the mains supply; the kettle enters the
standby mode and the display shows the current temperature of
water.
• To start boiling water, press the button, the kettle will start to
boil to 100oC by default.
• At this time, you can change this temperature by pressing the
or buttons .The display will show the chosen temperture
and the heating icon will flash on the display during this time.
• Once you have selected the temperture, leave the controls for 5
seconds, the heating icon will stop flashing.
• The kettle will start heating the water to the desired temperture.
The display will show the current & rising water temperature of the
water inside the kettle.
• Once the kettle has reached the temperture, the kettle will
automatically switch off. The heating icon will turn off, returning
the kettle to standby mode.
• To cancel the boiling at anytime, press the button, the kettle will
return to standby mode and the heating icon will go out.

KEEP WARM MODE
Keep warm mode allows you to keep the water warm at a desired
temperature between 40 - 95 oC.
• Follow steps for ‘BOILING WATER’ to warm the water.
• Once finished boiling, press the button and use the or
button to select the ‘KEEP WARM’ temperature.
• Once the water temperature is below the desired temperture of the
‘KEEP WARM’, the kettle will boil back up to that temperture.
• If the kettle has not been interrupted the kettle will stay in ‘KEEP
WARM’ for 40 minutes. After this time it will return to standby
mode.
• To cancel the ‘KEEP WARM’ at any time, press the button or

Note: Lime scale forms over time in the kettle when water is
heated. Though harmless, it may be bothersome. The kettle has a
removable filter behind the pour spout to prevent particles from
pouring into your beverage.
Always have the removable filter in place just behind the spout when
using the kettle.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
This kettle contains no user serviceable parts.
CLEANING
1. Before cleaning, be sure the base is unplugged and the kettle has
cooled completely. Empty any remaining water from the kettle.
2. Pull out the removable filter for cleaning. Wash the filter in hot,
soapy water and rinse or place it in the utensil holder of the
dishwasher.
3. Wash the inside of the kettle with hot, soapy water and rinse.
Important: Never immerse the kettle in water or other liquids or place
in a dishwasher.
4. Wipe exterior of the kettle and base with a damp cloth or sponge
and dry.
Note: The heating element at the bottom of the interior may discolor
over time. This will not affect performance. Do not use abrasive
soaps, cleansers, or scouring pads on the kettle.
Note: Over time, the kettle may heat up but will not boil. When this
happens, it is time for descaling.
TO DESCALE
1. Fill kettle with 4 cups cold tap water and bring to a boil. Add 2 cups
white vinegar, let stand for at least 1 hour or overnight and discard.
2. Fill kettle to maximum fill line with cold water. Bring to boil, discard
and repeat. Kettle is now ready for use.
