Dear customer
Thank you for having chosen a HÆGER product.
The HÆGER products have been produced to think about the welfare of the
consumer privileging the most raised standards of quality, functionality and
assign. We are sure you will be happy with this appliance.
We assume that the user is familiar with the common procedures of handling
household appliances.
Before using the appliance for the first time please read carefully and
thoroughly through these operating instructions and the safety advice,
completely familiarising yourself with the appliance. Retain these instructions for
future reference and pass them on to whoever might acquire the appliance at
a future date.
General Safety Instructions
The use of every electrical appliance calls for the awareness of some basic
rules, such as:
•This appliance is only to be used for household purposes and only for the
purpose it is made for.
•The appliance must be placed on a stable, level surface.
•The user must not leave the device unattended while it is connected to the
supply.
•If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its
service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
•Never move the appliance by pulling the cord and make sure the cord
cannot become entangled.
•To protect children against the dangers of electrical appliances, please
make sure that you never leave the appliance unattended. Therefore, you
have to select a storage place for the appliance where children are not
able to grab it. Make sure that the cable is not hanging in a downward
position.
•To protect yourself against an electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug
or appliance in the water or any other liquid.
•Please do not install the appliance close to curtains and other combustible
materials. This could cause a fire.
•The appliance shall, under no circumstances, be covered with insulating
material or similar material.

2 Instructions for use
Children and Frail Individuals
•To ensure your children’s safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags,
boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.
•Do not allow small children to play with the foil as there is a danger of
suffocation!
•This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and
above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a
safe way and understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
•Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
•Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously
supervised.
•Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off the
appliance provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended
normal operating position and they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand
the hazards involved. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall
not plug in, regulate and clean the appliance or perform user maintenance.
CAUTION —Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause
burns. Particular attention has to be given where children and
vulnerable people are present.
Special safety instructions
Do not use the appliance near showers, bath tubs, wash basins,
swimming pools, etc.
–Always use the heater in an upright position.
–Do not use the heater to dry your laundry. Never obstruct the intake and
outlet grilles (danger of overheating).
–When the appliance is used in portable version, do not place it up against
walls, furniture, curtains, etc.
–The appliance must be installed so that the switches and other controls
cannot be reached by persons using the bath tub or the shower.
–If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer,
an authorised service centre or a qualified electrician in order to eliminate
all risk.

–The appliance must not be positioned directly underneath a fixed power
point.
Do not cover the appliance while it is functioning to avoid overheating
with the attendant risk of fire.
CAUTION: Do not use the heater with a programmer, timer or any other device
that switches the heater on automatically.
WARNING: This heater is not equipped with a device to control the room
temperature. Do not use this heater in small rooms when they are occupied by
persons not capable of leaving the room on their own, unless constant
supervision is provided.

Putting into Service
Electrical Connection
1. Connect the device to a duly installed 230V/50Hz protective contact socket.
Check that the outlet has at least a 10 AMPERE current carrying capacity.
2. Before inserting the plug into the socket. Make sure that the mains voltage
to be used matches that of the device. You can find this information on the
nameplate.
How to use
Assembly
Assemble the body frame and the base plate together as the following
sequences:
1. Remove the butterfly nuts from the lower part of the body frame.
2. Insert the power cord through the slot placed in the middle part of the
basement and then assemble the body frame to the base plate.
3. Secure the body frame to the base plate by means of the two butterfly nuts
previously removed. Insert the power cord through the suitable slots and
then fix it by the clamp.
