1. Kurze Einführung
1.1 Bluetooth-Technologie
Bluetooth ist eine drahtlose Kommunikationstechnologie für kurze Entfernungen. Bluetooth-
Geräte werden im ISM-Band (Industrial, Scientific, and Medical Band) verwendet. Zur
Vermeidung von Störungen wird ein Frequenzsprungverfahren eingesetzt. Das Frequenzband
zwischen 2,4 GHz und 2,48 GHz wird in 79 Frequenzstufen eingeteilt, die während der
Datenübertragung über eine Entfernung von ca. 10 m (Klasse II) 1600 Mal pro Sekunde
gewechselt werden.

1.2 Bluetooth-Kfz-Einbausatz
Hama Titan ist kompatibel mit Bluetooth-Standard V1.2 und unterstützt Headset- sowie
Handsfree-Profile. Hama Titan verfügt über ein innovatives Aufbau- und Funktionsdesign,
sodass es je nach Erfordernis des Nutzers als Car Kit/Freisprecheinrichtung oder als
Headset verwendet werden kann.

2. Verwendung des Hama Titan
2.1 Akku laden
Hama Titan kann auf dreierlei Weise geladen
werden:
2.1.1 Laden des Hama Titan mit Netzteil
Verbinden Sie das Netzteil mit einem Ende
des USB-Kabels. Stecken Sie das andere
Ende des USB-Kabels in den Ladeanschluss
des Hama Titan. Stecken Sie das Netzteil in
eine Steckdose in der Wohnung, im Büro
oder an einem beliebigen anderen Ort. Dabei leuchtet die Ladeanzeige des Hama Titan auf,
was bedeutet, dass der Hama Titan ordnungsgemäß an das Netz angeschlossen ist und der
Ladevorgang beginnt. Die Ladeanzeige des Hama Titan erlischt, sobald der Ladevorgang
abgeschlossen ist. Ziehen Sie zum Abschluss das Netzteil aus der Steckdose.
2.1.2 Laden des Hama Titan mit Kfz-Adapter
Verbinden Sie den Kfz-Adapter mit einem Ende des USB-Kabels.
Stecken Sie das andere Ende des USB-Kabels in den Ladeanschluss des Hama Titan.
Stecken Sie den Kfz-Adapter in den Zigarettenanzünder des Fahrzeugs. Dabei leuchtet die
Ladeanzeige des Hama Titan auf, was bedeutet, dass der Hama Titan ordnungsgemäß ange-
schlossen ist und der Ladevorgang beginnt. Die Ladeanzeige des Hama Titan erlischt, sobald
der Ladevorgang abgeschlossen ist. Ziehen Sie zum Abschluss das Kfz-Ladegerät aus dem
Zigarettenanzünder des Fahrzeugs.

2.1.3. Laden des Hama Titan mit Basisstation
1. Stecken Sie das Headset in die Basisstation. Dabei leuchtet die Anzeige am Headset auf.
Die rote Lampe zeigt an, dass der Ladevorgang des Headsets läuft.
2. Die rote Lampe am Headset erlischt, sobald der Ladevorgang abgeschlossen ist.
3. Ziehen Sie das Headset aus der Basisstation. Das Headset ist jetzt einsatzbereit.
Hinweis: Sie können den Hama Titan während des Ladevorgangs weiterverwenden.
2.2 Ein-/Ausschalten des Hama Titan
Einschalten: Drücken Sie solange die Multifunktionstaste, bis die blaue Lampe blinkt und das
Headset zwei Pieptöne abgibt. Danach lassen Sie die Taste los. Das Gerät ist eingeschaltet.
Ausschalten: Drücken Sie solange die Multifunktionstaste, bis die rote Lampe schnell blinkt
und das Headset zwei Pieptöne abgibt. Danach lassen Sie die Taste los. Das Gerät ist
ausgeschaltet.
2.3 Koppeln des Hama Titan mit Bluetooth-Handy
Prüfen Sie vor dem Verwenden des Hama Titan, ob es mit Ihrem Bluetooth-Handy oder
anderen Bluetooth-Geräten gekoppelt ist.
Stellen Sie vor dem Koppeln sicher, dass das Hama Titan ausgeschaltet ist. Drücken Sie 5
Sekunden die Multifunktionstaste, bis die rote und die blaue Lampe abwechselnd blinken.
Dies zeigt an, das sich Ihr Hama Titan im Kopplungszustand befindet. Hinweis: Sie werden
sehen, dass zunächst die blaue Lampe blinkt, bevor die rote und die blaue Lampe abwech-

Kopplungsvorgang mit dem Hama Titan. Sobald der Kopplungsvorgang erfolgreich abge-
schlossen ist, hören die rote und die blaue Lampe auf, abwechselnd zu blinken, und die
blaue Lampe wechselt zu Dauerlicht. Hinweis 1: Ihr Handy findet das Hama Titan nicht,
wenn es sich nicht im Kopplungsmodus befindet. Prüfen Sie daher, ob sich Ihr Hama Titan im
Kopplungsmodus befindet, bevor Sie mit der Kopplung beginnen.
Hinweis 2: Wenn der Kopplungsvorgang nach etwa einer Minute nicht erfolgreich
abgeschlossen ist, schaltet das Headset automatisch in den Standby-Modus um.

2.4 Einbauort des Hama Titan

Hinweis 1: Bringen Sie das Hama Titan an einer Stelle an, an der es nicht die Sicht des
Fahrers behindert oder die sichere Bedienung des Fahrzeugs stört.
Hinweis 2: Der Benutzer muss gewährleisten, dass die Position des Hama Titan innerhalb
des Fahrzeugs mit den internationalen, staatlichen und lokalen Bestimmungen kompatibel ist.
Hinweis 3: Vergewissern Sie sich, dass die Position des Hama Titan keinerlei
Sicherheitsausrüstungen im Fahrzeugs, wie zum Beispiel einen Airbag, behindert.
Hinweis 4: Das Hama Titan sollte an einer sicheren Stelle angeordnet werden, um zu verhin-
dern, dass es herausgerissen wird und Schaden für den Benutzer infolge von
Zusammenstoss, Kollision oder anderen Unfällen während der Fahrt verursacht.
2.5 Anrufen
Vergewissern Sie sich, dass Ihr Hama Titan mit Ihrem Handy verbunden ist, bevor Sie einen
Anruf tätigen. Hama Titan kann Sprachwahl unterstützen, wenn Ihr Handy über diese
Funktion verfügt. Einzelheiten zur Sprachwahl finden Sie im Benutzerhandbuch Ihres
Handys.
1. Sprachwahl: Drücken Sie die Multifunktionstaste, bis das Hama Titan einen Piepton
aussendet, um anzuzeigen, dass Sie nun den Namen sagen können. Drücken Sie die
Multifunktionstaste zum Abbruch während der Sprachwahl. Hinweis: Es ist ratsam, dass Sie
Ihr Bluetooth-Headset zur Aufzeichnung Ihrer Wählstimme verwenden.

2.6 Anruf annehmen
Bevor Sie den Hama Titan zum Annehmen eines eingehenden Anrufs benutzen, vergewis-
sern Sie sich, dass der Hama Titan mit Ihrem Handy verbunden ist oder Ihr Handy die
Kopplungsinformationen des Hama Titan gespeichert hat und beide Geräte sich innerhalb
der effektiven Reichweite befinden. Wenn ein Anruf eingeht, ertönt der Klingelton des Hama
Titan und Ihres Handys und die blaue Lampe blinkt schnell. Drücken Sie die
Multifunktionstaste, um das Gespräch anzunehmen. Wenn die automatische
Annahmefunktion an Ihrem Handy eingestellt ist, nimmt der Hama Titan den Anruf automa-
tisch an, ohne dass die Multifunktionstaste am Hama Titan gedrückt werden muss.
Wenn der Hama Titan ausgeschaltet ist, während ein Anruf eingeht, drücken Sie die
Multifunktionstaste lang, um es einzuschalten, und anschließend kurz, um den Anruf anzu-
nehmen.
Hinweis 1: Einige Handymarken klingeln nicht, sondern stattdessen klingelt das Hama Titan,

2.8 Stummschalten
1. Halten Sie im Anrufmodus die Stumm-Taste gedrückt, bis Sie einen Tonfall hören. Das
Mikrofon wird stummgeschaltet, sodass der Gesprächspartner Sie nicht hören kann. In die-
sem Zustand können Sie in regelmäßigen Abständen einen Ton hören.
2. Drücken Sie im Stummschaltmodus die Stumm-Taste, um das Mikrofon wieder in den nor-
malen Modus zurückzuschalten.

2.9 Anruf abweisen
Wenn Sie den Hama Titan verwenden, können Sie ein Gespräch in einer der folgenden
Formen abweisen: Drücken Sie die Multifunktionstaste am Hama Titan, bis Sie einen langen
Ton hören. Drücken Sie die Taste zum Beenden des Gesprächs an Ihrem Handy.

2.10 Anruf umleiten
1. Während eines Gesprächs können Sie in einer der folgenden Formen vom Hama Titan zu
Ihrem Handy umschalten:
1) Halten Sie solange die Lautstärkereduzierungstaste am Hama Titan gedrückt, bis Sie
zwei Pieptöne hören.
2) Verwenden Sie die entsprechende Funktion an Ihrem Handy.
3) Schalten Sie den Hama Titan direkt aus.
2. Wenn Sie den Anruf während des Gesprächs wieder vom Handy auf den Hama Titan
zurücklegen wollen, halten Sie die Lautstärkereduzierungstaste am Hama Titan solange
gedrückt, bis zwei Pieptöne zu hören sind, oder verwenden Sie die entsprechende Funktion
an Ihrem Handy. Wenn der Hama Titan während eines Anrufs ausgeschaltet ist, schalten Sie
ihn ein und drücken Sie kurz die Multifunktionstaste, um den Anruf vom Handy auf den Hama
Titan umzuleiten. Hinweis: Die Bedienvorgänge für diese Funktion sind bei den verschiede-
nen Handymarken unterschiedlich.
2.11 Dreiergespräch
Wenn Ihr Handy und Ihr Mobilfunkanbieter Dreiergespräche unterstützen, können Sie diese
Funktion auch mit dem Hama Titan ausführen. Bitte, führen Sie die folgenden Schritte aus,
wenn sich ein Gesprächspartner im Wartestatus und der andere im aktiven Status befindet:
Das aktive Gespräch halten und den wartenden Anruf annehmen: Drücken Sie kurz die
Multifunktionstaste am Hama Titan. Das aktive Gespräch beenden und den wartenden Anruf
annehmen: Halten Sie solange die Lautstärkereduzierungstaste am Hama Titan gedrückt, bis
Sie zwei Pieptöne hören. Dreiergesprächsfunktion starten/beenden: Die Dreiergesprächs-
funktion wird aktiviert, indem Sie die Multifunktionstaste am Hama Titan solange drücken, bis
Sie zwei Pieptöne hören; sie wird beendet, indem Sie die Lautstärkereduzierungstaste
solange drücken, bis Sie zwei Pieptöne hören.
2.12 Lautstärkeregelung
Während eines Gesprächs können Sie die Lautstärke mit den Lautstärkeregeltasten regeln.
Drücken Sie die Lautstärkeerhöhungstaste, um die Lautstärke zu erhöhen. Drücken Sie die
Lautstärkereduzierungstaste, um die Lautstärke zu reduzieren. Hinweis 1: Bei jedem Druck

3. Wichtige Hinweise
3.1 Akku
1. Vergewissern Sie sich beim ersten Gebrauch des Hama Titan, dass der Akku mindestens 3
Stunden lang voll aufgeladen wurde.
2. Akkupflege: Der Akku sollte nur vom Fachmann gewechselt werden.
Wenn der Hama Titan längere Zeit nicht genutzt wird, sollte er mindestens alle zwei Monate
aufgeladen werden. Werfen Sie Akkus wegen der Explosionsgefahr NICHT ins Feuer.
3.2 Stromversorgung
1. Ein alternatives Netzteil darf nur an eine kompatible Spannungsquelle angeschlossen
werden.
2. Ziehen Sie am Steckernetzteil, nicht am Kabel, wenn Sie das Netzteil von der Steckdose
trennen.
3. Sprühen Sie KEINE Flüssigkeit oder Reinigungsmittel direkt auf die Oberfläche Ihres Hama
Titan. Sprühen Sie das Reinigungsmittel auf ein weiches Tuch, und reinigen Sie dann das
Gerät mit dem weichen Tuch. Schalten Sie die Stromversorgung ab und schalten Sie das

1. Brief Introduction
1.1 Bluetooth Technology
Bluetooth technology is a short-distance wireless communication technology. Bluetooth
products are used in frequencies operated by industry, science and medicine (ISM).
It applies the technology of frequency-jump in order to avoid interference. The frequency

band of 2.4GHz~2.48GHz is divided into 79 channels, and data is transferred at the frequency
of 1600 frequency-jumps per second with a transmission distance of about 10m (Class II).
1.2 Bluetooth Car Kit
Hama Titan complies with Bluetooth version 1.2 and supports both the Headset Profile and
Hands-free Profile. In addition, Hama Titan has an innovative structural and functional design
that allows it to be used as either a car kit/speakerphone or a headset up to user’s needs.

2. Using Hama Titan
2.1 Battery Charge
Hama Titan supports three ways of charging:
2.1.1 Charge Hama Titan with Home Power
Adapter
Connect the home power adapter with one
end of the USB cable. Insert another end of
the USB cable into the charging interface of
Hama Titan. Plug the home power adapter
into a power socket at home, office or other
places. At this time the Charging Indicator of
Hama Titan lights up, which means Hama Titan has been well connected with power and
starts charging. When charging is completed, the charging indicator of Hama Titan will light
out. Pull the home power adapter out from the power socket and charging will stop.
2.1.2 Charge Hama Titan with Car Adapter (Vehicle Power Adapter)
Connect the car adapter with one end of the USB cable. Insert another end of the USB cable

into the charging interface of Hama Titan. Plug the car adapter into the auto lighter socket.
At this time the charging indicator of Hama Titan lights up, which means Hama Titan has
been well connected with power and starts charging. When charging is completed, the
charging indicator of Hama Titan will light out. Pull the car charger out from the auto lighter
socket and charging will stop.
2.1.3 Charge Hama Titan headset with speakerphone base
Insert headset into speakerphone base. At this time indicator on headset lights up. The red
light indicates headset is under charging. When charging is completed, the red light of head-
set will light out. Pull out the headset from speakerphone base. The headset could be used
now. Note: You can continue using your Hama Titan during charging.
2.2 Turn On/Off Hama Titan
Turn On: Long press the multi-function button until blue light blinks and the headset beeps
twice, then release the button. The power is on.
Turn Off: Long press the multi-function button until red light blinks quickly and headset beeps
twice, then release the button. The power is off.
2.3 Pairing Hama Titan with Bluetooth Handset
Before using Hama Titan, make sure that it is paired to your Bluetooth handset or other
Bluetooth devices.
Ensure your Hama Titan power is off before pairing. Press the multi-function button for 5
seconds until red and blue lights blink alternately. This indicates that your Hama Titan is in
pairing status. NOTE: You will find that the blue light will blink first before the red and blue
lights blink alternatively, which indicates the power is on. Make sure to continue pressing
the multi-function button until the lights are blinking alternatively and the headset beeps
three times. Execute the Bluetooth device searching function on your handset. It may take
several seconds to search Bluetooth device.
After the search process has been successfully finished, the handset screen will display the
name of found Bluetooth device. Please select the device and press select button to confirm.
You will be required to enter Identification Code. Enter “0000”, and then press the confirm
button. Now, your handset starts pairing with Hama Titan. Blue light should come on - inste-

ad of red and blue lights blinking alternately - after pairing is successfully completed.
Note 1: Your handset will not find Hama Titan if your it is not in paring status. So please con-
firm whether your Hama Titan is in paring status or not before paring.
Note 2: If pairing is unsuccessful after about one minute, the headset will automatically
transfer to standby mode.
Note 3: Pairing is necessary because it guarantees communication security.
2.4 Locating Hama Titan
To maximize users’ operating flexibility, Hama Titan has been designed to be located inside a

Note 1: Please place the Hama Titan in a position that will not block the driver’s sight or
interfere with safe vehicle operation.
Note 2: The user should ensure the position of Hama Titan inside a car complies with inter-
national, state and local regulations.
Note 3: Please ensure the position of Hama Titan won’t interfere with any safety equipments
in a car, such as an air bag.
Note 4: Hama Titan should be placed at a safe position to avoid being dislodged and bringing
harm to user owing to bump, collision or other accidents during driving.
2.5 Making a Call
Make sure your Hama Titan is connected to your handset before you make a call. Hama
Titan can support “voice dialing” function if your handset has this function. For details on
voice-dialing, please refer to your handset's user manual.
1. Voice dialing: Press the multi-function button until Hama Titan beeps to indicate that you
can now say the name. Press the multi-function button to cancel it during voice dialing.
Note: It is suggested that you use your Bluetooth headset to record your dialing voice.
2. Dial with handset keypad: Dial numbers in the normal way. Your can hear on Hama Titan
when the call is connected.
3. Re-dial the last dialed number: In standby mode, long press the volume increase key until
the headset beeps twice. 14

Note: Your handset's model and settings determine whether there is keypad tone or not.
Adjust volume during your call through the volume adjustment keys of Hama Titan.
2.6 Answering an Incoming Call
Before using Hama Titan to answer an incoming call, make sure that the Hama Titan is con-
nected to your handset or that your handset has stored the pairing information of Hama Titan
and these two devices are within effective distance. When there is an incoming call, the ring
tone is heard from both Hama Titan and your handset, and blue light blinks quickly. Press the
multi-function button to answer the phone. If "automatic answer" function is set on your
handset, Hama Titan will automatically answer the call without the need of pressing the
multi-function button on Hama Titan. If Hama Titan is off when there is an incoming call, long
press the multi-function button to turn it on, and then short press it to answer the call.
Note 1: Some brands of handsets don't ring, instead, Hama Titan rings when there is an inco-
ming call. Simply press the multi-function button to answer the call.
Note 2: Some brands of handsets (e.g., Sony Ericsson P800) ring, but Hama Titan doesn’t ring
when there is an incoming call. Please short press the multi-function button of Hama Titan to
answer the call when the handset rings.
2.7 Ending a Call
When using Hama Titan, you can end a call in any of these ways:
Short press the multi-function button on Hama Titan;
Press the end call key on your handset;
The call will end automatically when the party you're talking to hangs up the call.
2.8 Mute
1. Under call mode, press and hold the mute key until you hear an inflection. The micropho-
ne will be in mute mode, and the other side will not be able to hear your voice. In such a
state, you may hear “toots” at regular intervals.
2. Under mute mode, press the mute key to bring the microphone from mute mode back to
the normal mode.
Note: When using the headset alone, you may achieve this function by pressing volume
increase and volume decrease keys at the same time.
2.9 Rejecting an Incoming Call
When using Hama Titan, you can reject a call in any of these ways: Long press the multi-

function button on Hama Titan until you hear a long “toot”; Press the end call key on your
handset; Automatically disconnect if call waiting is overtime.
2.10 Call Divert
1. During a call, you may switch from Hama Titan to your handset in any of these ways:
1) Long press the volume decrease key on Hama Titan until you hear it beeps twice;
2) Use the appropriate function on your handset;
3) Directly turn off Hama Titan;
2. During a call, if you want to switch the call from the handset back to Hama Titan, please
long press the volume decrease key on Hama Titan until it beeps twice or use the appropria-
te function on your handset. If Hama Titan is at off state during a call, turn it on and short
press the multi-function button to transfer the call from the handset to Hama Titan.
Note: The operating procedures of this function will vary according different brands of hand-
sets.
2.11 Three-way Call
If your handset and the mobile service you subscribe to support three-way call, you can
enjoy this function with Hama Titan as well. Please follow procedures below when one party
is at waiting state and the other at active state: Keep the active call, answer the waiting call:
short press the multi-function button on Hama Titan. Hang up the active call and answer the
waiting call: long press the volume increase key on Hama Titan until it beeps twice. Start/End
three-way call function: three-way call function is opened by long pressing the multi-
function button on Hama Titan until it beeps twice; three-way call is ended by long pressing
the volume decrease key during three-way call until it beeps twice and “toots” abnormally.
2.12 Volume Adjustment
During a call, You can adjust the volume through the volume adjustment keys.
Press the volume increase key to increase volume.
Press the volume decrease key to decrease volume.
Note 1: There will be a low, short sound each time you press the volume key; the volume of
this tone will increase or decrease as you press the volume keys.
Note 2: Please tune your Hama Titan to a suitable volume between maximum and minimum.
Note 3: You can also use the volume keys of your handset to adjust the volume of Hama
Titan.

2.13 Low Battery Alert
Your Hama Titan needs to be recharged when red light blinks at intervals at power on status.
3. Important Information
3.1 Battery
1. When using Hama Titan for the first time, please make sure the battery has been fully
charged for at least 3 hours.
2. Battery maintenance: Only professional could change the battery.
If Hama Titan will not been in use for a long time, make sure charge it at least every two
months. Do NOT dispose batteries in fire because of the danger of explosion.
3.2 Power Supply
1. An alternative power adapter can only connect with a compatible power source.
2. Hold the adapter, not the cable, when you remove the adapter from power socket.
3. Do NOT directly spray liquid or spray detergent on the surface of your Hama Titan. Spray
the detergent on the soft cloth, and then clean the device with soft cloth. Cut off the char-
ging power and turn off the device when you clean Hama Titan.
