Compatibility
The 22 mm x 1.0 mm Square Cover Slide Gizmo is compatible with:
•22 mm diameter, plain Square glass cover slides (1.0 mm thick)
•22 mm diameter, siliconized Square glass cover slides (1.0 mm thick)

Description
The Dispenser holds up to 1 pack of 22 mm x 1.0 mm plain or siliconized
Square cover slides. The dispenser is fitted with a metal Knob to allow easy
movement when loading and unloading cover slides. The Dispenser moves
to the right and left ends of the cover slide Gizmo along two chromed Rails.
The rails are positioned over the cover slide Platform. Each Rail is secured
to the 22 mm x 1.0 mm Square Cover Slide Gizmo with 2 mm allen head
screws. A top edge of the Platform is notched at each cover slide position to
allow finger or forceps access to the cover slides dispensed onto the Platform.
The Base has four rubber feet to keep the 22 mm x 1.0 mm Square Cover
Slide Gizmo flat and stationary. A black metal Cover Slide Chamber sup-
plied with the 22 mm x 1.0 mm Square Cover Slide Gizmo fits over the
Dispenser to keep cover slides clean during operation. See Figure 2.
Using the 22 mm x 1.0 mm Square Cover Slide Gizmo
1. Insert the metal Tab into the bottom slot of the Cover Slide Chamber.
See Figure 2.
2. Position the chamber flat onto the table. Open the chamber door and
carefully insert the 22 mm x 1.0 mm plain or siliconized Square cover slides
toward the bottom side of the Cover Slide Chamber where the tab is inserted.

3. Carefully position the 22 mm x 1.0 mm Square Cover Slide Gizmo such
that the metal knob on the dispenser is facing you. Clean any dust or debris
from the 22 mm x 1.0 mm Square Cover Slide Gizmo. Position the Dis-
penser all the way to the left end of the 22 mm x 1.0 mm Square Cover Slide
Gizmo. (Figure 1). Be sure no cover slides are positioned on the Platform to
the right of the Dispenser.
4. Align and insert the slide chamber into the slide dispenser. Remove the
metal tab.
5. There are two ways one can dispense the slides on the gizmo. Gently grab
the knob attached to the Dispenser and slide the Dispenser all the way to the
right. Or, Place your thumb and first finger gently onto the front and back
top edge of the Dispenser, no need to press down on the Dispenser. Slide the
Dispenser all the way to the right end of the Platform until the Dispenser
is against the right end stop. Six cover slides will be positioned onto the
platform. See Figure 4.

6. To dispense a single cover slide, simply move the Dispenser one posi-
tion on the Platform. Please see Figure 5 below. The black background
of the 22 mm x 1.0 mm Square Cover Slide Gizmo allows one to see if
the drop remains clear or contains precipitate during the drop build.
Do’s and Don’t’s
Do use your 22 mm x 1.0 mm Square Cover Slide Gizmo to easily dispense
slides.
Do keep your 22 mm x 1.0 mm Square Cover Slide Gizmo clean and happy.
Do feel free to name your 22 mm x 1.0 mm Square Cover Slide Gizmo.
Do use the Knob to move the Dispenser.
Do NOT grab and use the Cover Slide Chamber to move the Dispenser.
Do NOT move the Dispenser over already dispensed cover slides as this may
result in damaged cover slides and a 22 mm x 1.0 mm Square Cover Slide
Gizmo jam.
Do NOT over tighten the four 2 mm allen screws which screws which secure
the chrome rails to the 22 mm x 1.0 mm Square Cover Slide Gizmo as this
will position the Dispenser too close to the Platform.
Maintenance
The 22 mm x 1.0 mm Square Cover Slide Gizmo requires no special main-
tenance. Keep the Dispenser and Platform free of dust and debris. One can
clean the 22 mm x 1.0 mm Square Cover Slide Gizmo with a water soluble
general purpose cleaner, or ordinary window cleaner. If the chrome rails
become loose, use a 2 mm allen key to very gently turn the allen head screw
clockwise until the screw makes contact with the chrome rail. Lubrication
of the 22 mm x 1.0 mm Square Cover Slide Gizmo is not needed nor recom-
mended.
