1. Safety instructions
■Read and understand this user guide and the relevant instructions in the user guide for your Handi-Move
lifting system before using.
■Before every use, ensure that the sling is suitable for the person concerned.
■Before you start lifting, make sure the person is positioned safely and the loops are attached properly.
■Keep the person’s arms inside the sling.
■Never lift the person higher than necessary.
■When assisting, never leave the person alone in the sling.
■For sling maintenance, observe the washing instructions on the sling label.
■Before each use, check the fabric, seams, stitching, loops, loop attachments, for possible wear, damage or
fraying. If you find wear or damage, replace the sling immediately and discard the old sling.
■The seat sling is suitable for people with sufficient sitting balance. The person should be able to move be-
tween his or her (wheel)chair and chair independently or with an aid or passively (e.g. By means of lifting
equipment).
■If, for whatever reason, there may be a possibility that the user slides out of the sling, you should use the op-
tional safety belt(s). If use of the safety belt(s) does not guarantee complete security, do not use the seat sling.
The optional safety belt (#3473 1000) does not come standard with the seat sling.
■The approved combinations of SureHands® Spreader Bars/slings are the result of extensive testing in the in-
terest of user safety. Using other slings, spreader bars and lift systems in combination with Handi-Move slings
or SureHands® Spreader Bars (and vice versa) is potentially dangerous, may cause injury and is therefore not
allowed.

2. Field of application
The sling is used in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, geriatric centers, care homes, day centers and private homes.
The sling can be used for transfers to and from: bed, whweldadeelchair, (reclining) chair, sofa, bath, pool, floor,
treatment table...

5. User instructions
5.1. Fitting sling
Use from a seated position
step 1. Place the seat sling on the chair. The longest side should be
positioned against the back of the chair, the shortest on the
seat itself. The label is at the rear of the back section.
step 2. Move the person from (wheel)chair to chair.
step 3. Attach the loops to the spreader bar and lift.

step 4. The lifting position is determined by how much you tighten the yellow strap.
• Fully tightened = sitting position.
• Not tightened = half-lying position.
step 5. Seat sling in combination with safety belt around abdomen
and/or chest.
Pull the two ends of the safety belt(*)through the two
openings on the side of the seat sling from the back and
fasten them on the front. Tighten.
* Option: safety belt (#3473 1000)
NOTE!
onThe seaT sling for baTh (#3478) The back and seaT secTion are welded. Therefore This
seaT sling can'Tbe used in apool because iT cannoT be submerged. The seaT sling for baTh
comes wiTh ared edge for easy recogniTion. for use in apool you need To use The seaT
sling for pools (#3473).

6. Maintenance
6.1. Cleaning the sling
Follow the instructions on the label of the sling
Handwash at a water temperature between 30°C/86°F and maximum 40°C/104°F.

7. Inspection
7.1. Inspection by the user (prior to each use)
■Before each use, check the fabric, seams, stitching, loops, loop attachments, for possible wear or damage. If
you find wear or damage, replace the sling immediately and discard the old sling.
7.2. Annual inspection
■The sling must be inspected at least once a year.
■When using the sling intensively and washing it often, it is advisable to inspect the sling more frequently.
■Inspection may only be carried out by Handi-Move or a technician approved by Handi-Move.
■After the inspection, a report will be prepared documenting the tests that were carried out and the parts that
need to be replaced.

9. Warranty
This equipment is sold under an exclusive warranty of two (2) years from date of purchase.
The manufacturer warranties the equipment to be free of defects in material and workmanship. We agree to repair or
replace any products, or parts thereof, which have been returned to our factory within the stated warranty period, and
which after examination shall disclose that the product is defective. Batteries are excluded. Transportation charges
to our factory must be prepaid. Return charges for repaired or replaced products will be borne by the factory. Onsite
labor charges are not covered by the manufacturer warranty. Only labor performed on equipment at the Manufactur-
er or Distributor’s facilities will be covered by the manufacturer warranty.
This warranty does not apply if the equipment has been subject to misuse, neglect, accidents, incorrect wiring (not
our own), improper installation, or put to use in violation of instructions furnished by us or repaired or altered by
other than one of our factory authorized representatives without our prior written consent.
We reserve the right to modify or change the equipment in whole or in part, at any time prior to delivery in order to
include refinements deemed appropriate by us, but without incurring any liability to modify or change any equip-
ment previously delivered, or to supply new equipment in accordance with earlier specifications.
Loss or damage must be reported within 14 days after receipt of equipment. Visible loss of or damage to cartons must
be noted at time of delivery on bill of lading or delivery receipt.
This warranty is expressly in lieu of all other warranties expressed or implied. We neither assume, nor authorize any
other person to assume for us, any other liability in connection with the sale or use of this equipment. In no event
shall we be liable for consequential or special damages. We make no warranty whatsoever in respect to accessories or
parts not supplied by us. This warranty is valid to the original purchaser only. This warranty is not transferrable.
Note for the USA:
SUREHANDS has offered special warranty terms to certain Government and State Agencies and Funding
Sources. If your system is funded by one of these entities, your system will be covered by the terms of that war-
ranty instead of the standard warranty written above.
For products purchased from either a Handi-Move Dealer or Distributor please refer to their warranty terms
and conditions.

1. Veiligheidsvoorschriften
■Lees en begrijp voor het gebruik zowel deze handleiding als de instructies in de handleiding van uw Handi-
Move tiltoestel.
■Bij ieder gebruik van de tilstoel dient u zich ervan te verzekeren dat de tilstoel geschikt is voor deze persoon.
■Controleer, alvorens u begint te tillen, of de persoon veilig gepositioneerd is en of de lussen goed aangebracht
zijn.
■Houd de armen van de persoon binnen de tilstoel.
■Til de persoon nooit hoger dan noodzakelijk.
■Laat een persoon nooit alleen in de tilstoel hangen.
■Voor het onderhoud van de tilstoel dient u de wasinstructies op de label van de tilstoel in acht te nemen
■Controleer voor ieder gebruik de stof, zomen, stiksels, lussen, aanhechting van de lussen op mogelijke
slijtage/schade/uitrafeling. Bij het vaststellen van slijtage/schade, de tilstoel direct buiten gebruik stellen en
vervangen.
■Het tilstoeltje is geschikt voor personen met voldoende zitbalans. De persoon moet zich actief/met
hulp(middel) kunnen verplaatsen tussen (rol)stoel en stoel ofwel dient de verplaatsing passief te gebeuren (bv
door middel van een lift)
■Indien, om welke reden dan ook, de mogelijkheid bestaat dat de persoon ongewild uit de tilstoel zou glijden,
kan u de optionele veiligheidsband gebruiken. Indien de veiligheidsband nog steeds onvoldoende bescherming
biedt, moet u afzien van het gebruik van de tilstoel. De veiligheidsband (#3473 1000) wordt niet standaard
meegeleverd.
■De door Handi-Move goedgekeurde combinaties tiljukken/ tilstoelen zijn het gevolg van uitvoerige testen in
het belang van de veiligheid van de gebruiker. Het gebruik van andere tiljukken, tilstoelen en tilliften in com-
binatie met Handi-Move tiljukken of tilstoelen (en vice versa) is potentieel gevaarlijk, kan leiden tot letsel en
is dus niet toegestaan.

2. Toepassingsgebied
De tilstoel wordt gebruikt in ziekenhuizen, revalidatiecentra, geriatrische centra, verzorgingstehuizen, dagcentra
en privéwoningen. De tilstoel is geschikt voor transfers van of naar: bed, rolstoel, (lig)stoel, zetel, bad, zwembad,
grond, verzorgingstafel, ...

5. Hoe te gebruiken
5.1. Aanbrengen tilstoel
Gebruik vanuit zithouding
stap 1. Badstoeltje plaatsen op de stoel. De langste zijde tegen de
rugleuning, de kortste op het zitvlak. De label bevindt zich
aan de achterzijde van het ruggedeelte.
stap 2. Persoon verplaatsen van (rol)stoel naar stoel.
stap 3. Bevestig de lussen aan het tiljuk en til.

stap 4. Afhankelijk van het meer of minder aanspannen van de gele band bepaal je de positie van tillen.
• Volledig aangespannen = zitpositie.
• Niet aangespannen = halfligpositie.
stap 5. Badstoeltje in combinatie met veiligheidsband(*) ter hoogte
van de buik en/of borst.
Haal de twee uiteinden van de veiligheidsband via de
achterzijde door de twee openingen aan de zijkant van het
badstoeltje en klik ze in elkaar aan de voorzijde. Span aan.
* Optie: veiligheidsband (#3473 1000)
