Place the stove on a noncombustible type oor or oor
protectorthatextendsaminimumof6inches(152mm)to
thefrontoftheloaddooropening,6inches(152mm)tothe
sidesofthedooropening,and6inchestotherear.Floor
protectionmustalsoextend2inches(51mm)beyondeach
sideofanyhorizontaluepipe.TheP-Seriesdonotrequire
Rvalueoorprotection.Theminimumoorprotectormaterial
is20gaugesheetmetal.Otheroorprotectormaterialsthat
canbeusedincludeTypeIhearthpads,ceramictile,stone,
brick,etc.Figure3.3
NOTE for Canadian installation only:PerULC-S627-00,
If installed on a combustible oor, the need to provide a
noncombustible oor protector covering the area beneath
thespaceheaterandextendingatleast17.72”(450mm)on
theringsideandatleast7.87”(200mm)ontheothersides.
In Canada, you may follow smaller U.S. oor protection
requirements ONLY if the user agrees to completely
shut-down the appliance, and allow it to cool to where
all re is extinguished and the combustion blower and
its indicator light shuts off, prior to opening the rebox
door or ash door.
D. Mobile Home Installation
When installing this unit in a mobile home, several
requirementsmustbefollowed:
1. Theunitmustbeboltedtotheoor.Thiscanbedonewith
1/4”lagscrewsthroughthe2holesinthebaseplate.
2. Theunitmustalsobeconnectedtooutsideair.Seesection
4-DOutsideAir.
3. Floor protection and clearances must be followed as
shown.
4. Theappliancemustbeproperlygroundedtotheframeof
themobilehomeusingaminimumof8AWGcoppersolid
orstranded,insulatedorbarewireorequivalent.
P43 = 42-5/8”
P61A/P68 = 50”
Corner to edge dimension for corner installation oor protection.
Alternate oor protector dimension may be used as long
as they satisfy the measurement requirements shown
below.
Minimum size oor protection for a corner installation
hearth pad is 36” x 36” (USA ONLY). NOTE: Floor
protector WILL NOT touch the wall.

