Assembly Instructions
3Unpack the bottom side bars (3), the centre brackets (9) or centre wheel brackets (9a), the front
handle brackets (8) or front wheel bracket (8a) and the bottom back bar / handle pack (6). Put the
handle to one side for a moment, this is the one with no holes. Collect 10 x M10 x 70mm hex bolts (17)
and 10 x M10 nylock nuts (18). Line up all the holes in the base bars, and the joining brackets, and lock
each joint with the 70mm long bolts and M10 nuts as shown in Fig.2. (Same applies to wheel brackets
CRK-156)
4Unpack the 3 upright packs (1), the crossbars with reduced ends (2) and
collect the various painted clamps from the fittings pack. Assemble
these parts laying flat on the ground. Slide two top swage clamps (15) onto
each crossbar with reduced ends. Now fit an upright into each end of the
crossbar. Slide the clamp over the join, insert two 20mm long bolts (16) each
through one nord-lock washer (22) and fully tighten so that the bolts lock
onto the washer (do not worry that the bolt presses into the Aluminium).
Ensure that the join is approximately in the middle of the clamp and also
make sure that the bolts in the clamp will face downwards as this will make
fitting the net easier, this rule applies to all the top clamps. For the two end
frames, slide one top end support clamp (13) onto each upright approx
400mm, again insert the 20mm long bolts and washer
(leave one hole redundant as shown in Fig 3). For the centre
frame, position the centre top support clamp (12) 400mm onto the upright,
and also slide the centre support 2 way clamp (14) and hand tighten directly
below the centre top support clamp.All as shown in Fig 3.

TIP: If assembling CRK-156 with wheels, elevate the bottom frame
onto wooden beams when attaching the wheel brackets (8a & 9a). This
way you will keep the wheels off the floor. Then safely remove once fully

5Lift the upright frames into position, locating them into the 6 upright
brackets. Secure into place using the remaining M10 x 70mm long bolts
and nylock nuts, as shown in Fig.4A. Now unpack the top side bars (4 & 5)
and slide one of each type of top bar into position through the top end
support clamps so that the reduced end of one bar goes inside the other.
These will meet in the middle of the centre top support clamp. When in
position insert M10 x 20 bolts and washer into each clamp and fully tighten
to the top side bars, but do not tighten to the uprights yet.

6With a step ladder positioned at each end of the top side bars, lift the bars
into a level position just below the bend on the uprights and secure until
the bolt locks onto the washer. Check the height of the centre top support
clamp and tighten this in place. Unpack the support braces (7) and fit
diagonally, attaching each end using the remaining M10 x 20mm long bolts
and secure with the M10 nylock nuts. The centre 2 way clamp (14) will need
to be positioned where the diagonal brace meets the centre upright, tighten
as before, as shown Fig.4 B & C.
Fit the nut covers (21) onto the lower bolts and nuts to reduce exposure to
players. The handle will slide in position, but the bolts must be tightened
before the cage is moved around. Loosen the bolts to remove handle during
play. On the net there is a ROOF FRONT label. When this has been
identified, drape the net over the cage and use the ties provided to fix into
position. This may take a little time as the net tends to catch on all edges.
Ensure that the net is elevated around the wheel area when the cage is moved
to avoid snags. If CRK-160 has been purchased you will need to cut the net
around the centre wheel brackets and attach to the cage using the ties
provided. See Fig 4 for the number of ties per bar.

redundant hole in
each of the
7With the cage in position, anchor into the ground using U pegs (PEG-
021) provided. Pegs should be located in the centre of each bottom
sidebar. Pegs should be knocked into the ground at 45 degrees giving best
anchorage.

1Using the pack contents list on previous page, identify the parts required for the assembly of your cricket cage. Read all the
instructions through first to familiarize yourself with the best order of assembly and remember the key points. You will need
a 17mm spanner, a pair of pliers and two high ladders. It is advised that three or more persons assemble the cricket cage.
2You will need for this pack FEQ140. Position the back wheel assemblies as
shown in Fig.1 & 2
We advise greasing the wheel axles periodically.
