GET READY!
1. Place all 36 bugs on the bed and mix them up.
2. Each player chooses a pair of tongs.
The color of the tongs matches
the color of bug you’ll need
to catch!
LET’S PLAY!
1. All players gather around the bed with their tongs
in hand, ready to catch those wild bugs!
2. One player counts to three, and then presses the button
on the side of the bed. This will turn on the bed and
cause the bugs to start bouncing!
3. All players then immediately begin trying to catch
their color of bug! When you catch a bug with your
tongs, place it in front of you, and then keep trying
to catch more bugs!
4. When a player has caught all their color of bug, they must
shout “BED BUGS!” and press the button to turn off the bed.
All players must then put their tongs down! Now it’s time to
check if the player that shouted “BED BUGS!” has won!
Note:
• Only use your tongs to catch the bugs! No fingers!
• Only catch your color of bug! If you catch someone
else’s color, return it to the bed!
• If you turn off the bed but still have someone else’s
color of bug in your pile, you’re out of the game! For
example, you might be the green player but you have a
yellow bug in your pile! If that happens, place any bugs
that aren’t your color back on the bed. Then count to
three and turn the bed back on again so the remaining
players can finish the game!
WIN!
The first player to catch all their bugs and turn off the bed
wins! But don’t forget: if you have someone else’s color of
bug in your pile, your win doesn’t count and the other players
get to keep playing until there’s a winner!
Note: If you’re playing with two players, you should still place
all 36 bugs on the bed!
THE FIRST TIME YOU PLAY
1. Insert two batteries. (See battery information on the
back page.)
2. Attach the headboard to the bed
frame as shown. Do the same
for the footboard at the other
end of the bed frame.
Note: The headboard and
footboard will need to be
removed when storing the game.
3. Fit the cardboard insert and the
cardboard playing surface into
the bed frame by inserting the
tabs into the slots as shown.
