Läs noggrant igenom bruksanvisningen innan du använder produkten
och spara den för framtida bruk. Om du följer dessa instruktioner
kommer du ha glädje av produkten länge.
– Innan du ansluter enheten: Säkerställ att ditt vägguttags spänning
motsvarar den spänning som anges på produktens typskylt
(typskylten är placerad på undersidan av enheten).
– För att förhindra risk för elchock: Öppna aldrig höljet. Det finns
inga delar som du som användare själv kan laga. Överlåt all
service till kvalificerad servicepersonal.
– Reparationer av elektriska enheter får endast utföras av behörig
servicepersonal. Felaktig reparation kan utsätta användaren och
enheten för allvarlig fara.
– Använd inte produkten om den har en skadad kontakt eller sladd,
eller efter att den tappats och skadats på något sätt. Gör du det
kan det leda till elchock/personskador eller skador på egendom.
– Om strömsladden är skadad måste den ersättas av tillverkaren,
dess serviceagent eller liknande kvalificerad servicepersonal för att
undvika fara.
– Koppla inte från enheten genom att dra i sladden, dra i kontakten.
Annars kan sladden eller enheten skadas.
– Tryck inte in föremål i några öppningar på enheten då skada på
enheten och/eller elchock kan uppstå.
– Använd inte enheten till annat än det den är avsedd för.
– Sänk inte ned enheten i vatten eller annan vätska.
– Koppla alltid från enheten innan du utför rengöring och underhåll.
– Placera inte enheten nära värmeavgivande produkter, eller i direkt
solljus.
– Använd inte enheten utomhus.
– Denna utrustning får inte användas av personer (inklusive barn)
med nedsatt känsel, fysisk eller mental förmåga eller har bristfällig
erfarenhet eller kunskap. De ska ha lämplig tillsyn och ges
tillräckliga instruktioner från en person som ansvarar för deras
säkerhet, för att få använda utrustningen.

– Lämna aldrig enheten i närheten av barn. Produkten är ingen
leksak! Noggrann tillsyn krävs när produkten används i närheten
av barn.
– Tänk på att delar av järnet kan bli mycket heta under användning.
Dessa delar får inte vidröras när järnet är påslaget.
– Sörj för god luftväxling när apparaten används. Se till att det finns
en luftspalt på minst 15 centimeter på alla sidor så att luften kan
cirkulera.
– Låt inte apparaten vidröra textilier eller andra lättantändliga material
medan den används.
– Flytta inte apparaten medan den används. Låt apparaten svalna
innan du flyttar eller rengör den.
– Använd inte smörgåsjärnet nära vatten eller andra vätskor.
– Ha uppsikt över järnet medan det används. Det får inte användas
med extern timer eller fjärrstyrning.
– En kort sladd medföljer produkten. Förlängningssladd
rekommenderas inte, men om en sådan ändå används ska
följande beaktas:
Sladden måste, minst, klara av de krav på strömstyrka, spänning
etc. som produkten ställer. Dra inte sladden så att man kan
snubbla över den eller den kan skadas (t.ex. över en skarp
bordskant).

ANVÄNDNING
Järnet får inte användas för att tina eller tillaga frysta livsmedel.
Frysta varor måste vara helt upptinade innan de tillagas i järnet.
Första gångerna produkten används kan viss rök utvecklas.
Detta är normalt och försvinner efter en tids användning.
1. Innan du använder järnet för första gången rengör du det enligt anvisningarna i
denna bruksanvisning.
2. Tryck på låsknappen närmast handtaget för att låsa upp järnet.
3. Öppna järnet genom att dra i handtaget.
4. Stäng järnet och slå på det genom att sätta i kontakten i ett vägguttag.
Strömlampan ska nu lysa orange.
Varning! Värmeplattorna och järnets metallytor blir mycket varma under
användning. Använd grytvantar och rör endast den svarta delen av handtaget.
5. När järnet värmts upp, vilket tar cirka fem minuter, blir strömlampan grön. Nu är
järnet klart att användas.
6. Använd handtaget för att öppna järnet. Placera livsmedlet på den nedre delen
med hjälp av redskap i plast eller trä.
Obs! Använd inte redskap av metall, eftersom de kan skada beläggningen på
järnet.
7. Använd handtaget och sänk ned den övre delen.
Obs! Tillagningstiden varierar beroende på typ av livsmedel och tjocklek. Se
alltid till att livsmedlet är tillräckligt tillagat.
8. När livsmedlet är färdigtillagat öppnar du järnet och tar bort livsmedlet med
lämpligt redskap. Om du tänker fortsätta använda järnet stänger du det för att
bevara värmen.
9. Stäng av järnet genom att dra ur kontakten.
10. Låt järnet svalna innan du rengör och flyttar undan det.
11. Lås järnet med låsknappen.

Read this instruction manual carefully before use and save it for future
reference. If you follow these instructions, your appliance will provide
you with years of good service.
– Before you connect the appliance: Ensure that the voltage rating
on the type plate corresponds to your mains voltage (type plate is
located on the bottom of the product).
– To reduce the risk of electric shock: Do not remove the cover.
There are no user serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to
qualified service personnel.
– Repairs to electrical appliances shall always be performed by
qualified personnel. Improper repairs may place the user and the
equipment at serious risk.
– Do not operate the appliance with a damaged plug or cord, after
a malfunction or after being dropped or damaged in any way.
Doing so may cause electric shock/personal injuries and property
damage may occur.
– If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified people to
avoid a hazard.
– Do not remove the appliance from the mains power supply by
pulling the cord, pull the plug. Otherwise damage to the cord and
appliance may occur.
– Do not push objects into any openings as damage to the
equipment and/or electric shock may occur.
– Do not use the appliance for anything other than its intended use.

when the appliance is in use. Make sure not to touch these hot
parts of the appliance.
– Use the product in a well-ventilated area. Keep at least 4-6
inches of space on all sides of the product to allow adequate air
circulation.
– Do not allow the product to touch curtains, wall coverings,
clothing, dishtowels, or other flammable materials during its use.
– Do not move the product while it is plugged in. Allow the product
to thoroughly cool before handling it.
– Do not use the product near water or other liquids.
– Do not leave the product unattended while it is in use.The
appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external
timer or separate remote control system.
– A short power supply cord is provided with this product. An
extension cord is not recommended for use with this product,
but if one must be used:
The marked electrical rating of the cord must be at least as great
as that of the product. Arrange the extension cord so that it does
not hang where it can be tripped over or pulled unintentionally.

OPERATION
Do not use this product to cook or defrost frozen food.
All food must be completely defrosted before cooking it with this product.
During the initial uses of this product, it may produce some smoke.
This is normal and will subside with further use.
1. Before using this product for the first time, clean it as described in the
“Maintenance” section.
2. Press in the end of the lock button closest to the handle to unlock the product.
3. Open the unit by pulling the handle.
4. Close the grill and turn the unit on by plugging it into a standard electrical outlet.
Verify that the power indicator light illuminates in orange.
Warning! The cooking plates and metal surfaces of the unit will become
extremely hot when in use. To avoid a burn hazard, wear heat resistant mitts or
gloves and touch only the black portion of the handle.
5. After the unit preheats for approximately five minutes, the indicator light will
illuminate in green, indicating the product is ready for use.
6. Use the handle to lift the upper plate. Place food on the lower plate using
wooden or plastic heat-resistant utensils.
Note: Do not use metal utensils on this product, as they will scratch and
damage the plates’ non-stick coating.
7. Use the handle to lower and rest the upper plate on top of the food.
Note: The cooking time for different food depends on the type and thickness
of the foods. Food should be cooked thoroughly before consumption.
8. When the food is cooked as desired, lift the handle to open the plates, then
remove the food using the utensils. If more cooking will be done at this time,
close the plates to conserve heat.
9. Turn off the product by unplugging the power cord from the electrical outlet.
10. When the unit has completely cooled; clean and dry it.
11. Lock the unit in its closed position by pressing in the end of the lock button
farthest from the handle.

MAINTENANCE
SPECIFICATIONS
1. Before cleaning, unplug and wait for the appliance and plates to cool down.
2. Wipe the outside with only a slightly moistened cloth ensuring that no moisture,
oil or grease enters the cooling slots.
3. Do not clean the inside or outside with any abrasive scouring pad or steel wool
as this will damage the finish.
4. Do not immerse in water or any other liquid.
