1. Het verwarmingselement mag niet in een directe nabijheid van een wandcontactdoos geplaatst worden (zie minimale afstand bij punt 8).
2. De installatie van een infrarood verwarmingselement mag in bepaalde ruimtes (ruimtes met douche, bad of zwembad) en in openbaar
toegankelijke ruimtes, alleen door een elektrovakman en volgens de voor het respectievelijke land geldende richtlijnen en normen door
gevoerd worden. Verplaatsbare verwarmingselementen mogen niet in de buurt van bad, douche of zwembad geplaatst worden.
3. Het infrarood verwarmingselement mag alleen op 230 volt , 50 Hz wisselstroom aangesloten worden.
4. Het infrarood verwarmingselement mag niet aan overmatige vochtigheid blootgesteld worden.
5. Er mogen geen voorwerpen op het infrarood verwarmingselement gelegd worden.
Ook mag het infrarood verwarmingselement niet afgedekt worden. OPGELET oververhittingsgevaar alsmede het gevaar van inbranden
van de kleuren/materialen die op of tegen het verwarmingselement worden geplaatst.
6. Het infrarood verwarmingselement is voorzien van een veiligheidstemperatuurbegrenzer, waardoor deze bij oververhitting wordt uit
geschakeld en na afkoeling automatisch weer wordt ingeschakeld.
7. De netstekker moet tijdens het gebruik via schakelaar of thermostaat steeds spanningsvrij te schakelen zijn.
8. De minimale afstand ten opzichte van andere voorwerpen moet aan de voorkant 50 cm, zijkanten 20 cm en boven- en onderaan 10 cm
bedragen.
9. Kinderen jonger dan drie jaar moeten op afstand blijven, behalve als ze continu onder toezicht staan. Kinderen tussen drie en acht jaar
mogen het apparaat in- en uitschakelen (met behulp van de schakelaar resp. thermostaatbesturing) als ze onder toezicht staan of als
ze over een veilig gebruik van het apparaat zijn geïnstrueerd en de hieruit voortvloeiende gevaren hebben begrepen, vooropgesteld dat
het apparaat op een normale gebruiksplaats is opgesteld of geïnstalleerd. Kinderen tussen drie en acht jaar mogen geen stekker in de
wandcontactdoos steken, het apparaat niet bedienen, reinigen en/of geen onderhoud uitvoeren. WAARSCHUWING: Enkele delen van
het product kunnen zeer heet worden waardoor brandwonden kunnen ontstaan. Let met name op als kinderen en kwetsbare personen
in nabijheid zijn.
10. U wordt verzocht geen eigenhandige reparaties aan het infrarood verwarmingselement door te voeren. Het netsnoer mag niet vervangen
worden en moet voor reparatie steeds naar de fabrikant teruggestuurd worden.
11. Het verwarmingselement mag niet verschoven worden door te trekken aan de kabel. Het mag alleen verplaatst worden door deze op te
tillen. LET OP: het apparaat eerst laten afkoelen!
12. Het apparaat dient te worden geplaatst op een veilige plaats en het dient een plaats te zijn waar het apparaat ook niet kan (om)vallen.
13. WAARSCHUWING: Dit apparaat is niet uitgerust met een aansturing voor het regelen van de ruimtetemperatuur. Het verwarmingsap
paraat mag niet worden gebruikt in kleine ruimtes die worden bewoond door personen die de ruimte niet zelfstandig kunnen verlaten,
tenzij een doorlopend toezicht is gewaarborgd.
VOOR DE EERSTE INGEBRUIKNAME
Lees de veiligheidsinstructies en de gebruiksaanwijzing vóór ingebruikname aandachtig door. Controleer het infrarood verwarmingselement op
zichtbare beschadigingen en controleer of de netspanning met de spanningsinformatie op het typeplaatje (achterkant) overeenkomt. Als u vast-
stelt dat het element beschadigd is mag u het niet gebruiken. Wendt u zich in dit geval tot uw dealer.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
e infrared heating element is provided with a main plug. After having finished the assembly, connect to a 230 Volt, 50 Hz socket. Room tem-
perature controller can be included in the system by adapter plugs (socket thermostat) or in case of a fixed connection, consult an installation
specialist to install a control - taking into account the appropriate standards and norms of the country concerned. If a fixed device is not equip-
ped with a supply cable and a power plug or other instruments to switch o the device from the electrical power supply (which oers a contact
opening width of each pole appropriate to the terms of the overvoltage category II), the instructions have to be point out that these separators
must be installed in the static system of the electrical installation according to the implementation regulations.
WARRANTY
We provide a 8-years-warranty for your infrared heating element, starting from the date of purchase or of delivery. Within this warranty time we
will regulate free of charge upon presentation of the invoices all apparent production and material defects by repair and/or replace the defective
parts and (by our choice) substitute an equally flawless article.
e condition for this warranty is, that the infrared heating element has been properly treated and cared for. Claims which go beyond our
warranty are excluded. e warranty when justified includes only the repair of the infrared heating element. Further claims and liabilities for
eventual consequential damages are basically excluded.
is warranty does not refer to parts, which are subject to natural abrasion (parts subject to wear) or to defects caused during shock, faulty use,
moisture, or due to other external factors.
During the heating-up and cooling-down phase there may occur clicking sounds, which are present no reason for complaint and do not impair
heating characteristics.
In case of warranty, please send the infrared heating element with invoice or delivery note and including the date on which you received the
heating element, as well as a detailed description of the defects, all carefully packaged directly to the service center:

manier een belangrijke bijdrage aan de bescherming van het milieu. Het Heatwave B.V. infrarood verwarmingssysteem kenmerkt zich door een
eenvoudige installatie, flexibele montage en levenslang vrij onderhoud. Om lang plezier te hebben van uw infrarood verwarmingselement en
voor waarborging van uw veiligheid, raden wij u aan deze handleiding vóór ingebruikname zorgvuldig door te lezen. Bewaar de handleiding
steeds binnen handbereik en geef het infrarood verwar-mingselement nooit zonder handleiding door aan andere personen.
Het infrarood verwarmingselement is een warmtestraler en werkt niet volgens het principe van convectiewarmte. Bij de eerste ingebruikname
kan het zijn dat de koude voorwerpen (meubels, muren, plafond en vloer) eerst moeten worden opgewarmd. Wanneer u niet onmiddellijk een
comfortabele warmte ervaart, raden wij u aan om de warmtestraler gedurende meerdere uren, en wanneer noodzakelijk, ook gedurende meerdere
dagen aan te laten staan tot er een aangename ruimtetemperatuur is bereikt. Zodra de vaste objecten opgewarmd zijn zal de ruimte aangenaam
warm worden en kunt u de inschakelduur tot een minimum beperken.

We willen u erop attenderen, dat overeenkomstig de EU-richtlijn 2009/125 / EG, inzake ecologisch ontwerp voor energie gerelateerde producten,

installatie en inbedrijfstelling van infraroodstralers is alleen toegestaan in combinatie met externe ruimtetemperatuurregelaars (EU-richtlijn inzake
ecologisch ontwerp voor energie gerelateerde producten 2009/125/EG, verordening 2015/1188), die de volgende functies vervullen: elektronische
ruimtetemperatuurregeling met weekdagbesturing en afstandsbediening en/of raamopeningsmelder en/of adaptieve regeling voor het starten
van de verwarming.

CLEANING AND CARE
Before cleaning, always disconnect the main power plug. Once a year before the heating season, free the heating from dust and dirt and check
the safety plates and the screws. If necessary, retighten them. To clean you should use a smooth and damp cloth and a little dish detergent. Never
clean the infrared heating element and the power supply cables under running water, nor submerse in water. Do not use harsh, abrasive or easily
inflammable detergents.

Here you can find important information for the installation of your infrared heating element. You have acquired an ecologic, economic heater
and are thereby making an eective contribution in saving the environment. e infrared heating system proves itself through simple installation,
flexibility in the assembling and freedom from maintenance. So you can enjoy long use of your infrared-heating element and to assure your safety,
please carefully read the instructions before installation. Keep this manual at hand and never pass on this infrared heating element without the
manual.
DEAR CLIENT!
e infrared heating element does not work on the principle of convection heat but is a radiant heater. erefore, it is possible at the start-up that
cold areas (furniture, walls, ceiling and floors) need to be warmed up first. If you don't immediately have a comfortable feeling of warmth, then
let the heater run for several hours, or even several days if necessary, until a comfortable indoor climate has been reached. As soon as the solid
areas have warmed up, a comfortable warmth will spread throughout the room and then you can pare down the running time of your heater to
the minimum.
1. e heating element must not be installed directly below a wall socket.
2. e installation of an infrared heating element in special rooms (rooms with shower, bathtub or swimming pool) as well as in
public places may only be done by a specialised installation company taking into account the appropriate standards and norms
of the country concerned.
3. e infrared heating element may only be connected to alternating current 230 Volt, 50 Hz.
4. e infrared heating element must not be exposed to excessive moisture.
5. Do not put down objects on the infrared heating element and do not cover the infrared heating element!
Attention: risk of overheating! (thermotransfer printing!)
6. e infrared heating element is equipped with a safety temperature limiting device, which turns o in case of overheating and
automatically turns on again after cooling down.
7. e plug needs to be switchable without tension at all times during operation by switch or thermostat.
8. e minimum distance to other objects should be 50 cm away from the front, 20 cm to the sides and 10 cm upward and
downward.
9. Children younger than 3 years have to be kept away unless they are permanently monitored. Children between 3 years
and 8 years are just allowed to switch the device on and o (by switcher or thermostat) if they are supervised or if they
were instructed for the use of the device and the consequential damages (provided that the device is in its general purpose).
Children between 3 years and 8 years are not allowed to plug in, to regulate, to clean or to maintenance and repair the device.
WARNING: Some components of the device get hot and may cause burns. Particular caution is required if children or persons
in need of protection are present.
10. Do not try to repair the infrared-heating element, the power cable cannot be replaced and must always be returned to the
manufacturer for repairs.
11. e heating elements may not be moved by pulling the power cable. e heating element should only be moved by taking the
whole column. ATTENTION: Allow the device to cool down before moving it!
12. e device should be placed at a safe location and should be secure against falling over.
13. WARNING: is unit is not equipped with a device for controlling room temperature. e heating unit may not be used in small
rooms occupied by persons not able to leave without assistance, unless there is continuous monitoring.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
ASSEMBLY
e installation instructions are included with the product. No assembly for all mobile heating elements (standing models, pillars etc.) – they
can be plugged into a socket and are ready for operation. e heating elements may not be moved by pulling the power cable. e heating ele-
ment should only be moved by taking the whole column. ATTENTION: Allow the device to cool down before you move it!
BEFORE INITIAL START-UP
Read the safety instructions and the manual before use! Check the infrared heating element for visible damage and whether the mains voltage is
in accordance with the voltage information on the type plate (verso). If you notice damages on the element, do not use it - contact your speci-
alist dealer.
INSTALLATIE
De installatie instructies worden met het product meegeleverd. Er is geen montage nodig voor mobiele verwarmingselementen
(standmodellen, pilaren e.d.) – deze kunnen ingeplugd worden in een stopcontact en zijn direct operationeel. Het verwarmingselement
mag niet verschoven worden door te trekken aan de kabel. Het mag alleen verplaatst worden door deze op te tillen.
LET OP: het apparaat eerst laten afkoelen!
REINIGING ENONDERHOUD
Trek voor het reinigen altijd de stekker uit het stopcontact of maak het product spanningsvrij. Ontdoe de verwarming één keer per jaar, voor be-
gin van de verwarmingsperiode, van stof en vuil en controleer het bevestigingsmateriaal. Draai de schroeven indien nodig opnieuw vast. Gebruik
voor reiniging een zachte, vochtige doek met wat reinigingsmiddel (LET OP: zeepresten vermijden). Het infrarood verwarmingselement en het
snoer nooit onder stromend water reinigen of in water onderdompelen. Geen scherpe, schurende of licht ontvlambare schoonmaakmiddelen
gebruiken.
ELEKTRISCHE AANSLUITING
Het infrarood verwarmingselement is van een netstekker voorzien met randaarde. Het infrarood verwarmingselement kan worden aangesloten
op een geaarde wandcontactdoos van 230 volt, 50 Hz. Indien de wandcontactdoos niet is voorzien van randaarde dient men zich ervan te verge-
wissen dat de wandcontactdoos is beveiligd middels een aardlekschakelaar (persoonsbeveiliging).
GARANTIE
Wij verlenen 8jaar garantie op uw infrarood verwarmingselement, ingaande vanaf de datum op de factuur resp. de pakbon. Binnen deze
garantietijd worden alle productie- en/of materiaalfouten op vertoon van de factuur of leverbon kosteloos door reparatie en/of uitwisseling van
de defecte onderdelen of (naar onze keuze) door omruiling voor een gelijkwaardig, feilloos functionerend artikel geregeld.
Voorwaarde voor een dergelijke garantie-aanpak is dat het infrarood verwarmingselement correct behandeld en onderhouden werd. Aan eisen
die buiten onze garantie-aanpak vallen kan niet worden voldaan. Als de klacht gegrond is, heeft de garantie uitsluitend betrekking op de reparatie
van het infrarood verwarmingselement. Verdergaande eisen, als ook aansprakelijkheid voor eventuele gevolgschade zijn uitgesloten.
Op onderdelen die aan natuurlijke slijtage onderhevig zijn (slijtagedeel) en beschadigingen die aan stoten, verkeerd gebruik, vochtigheid of andere
uitwendige inwerkingen te wijten zijn, evenals een onvoldoende verwarmingsvermogen als gevolg van onjuiste dimensionering, bestaat geen
garantie.
Lichte knakgeluiden ten gevolge van thermische uitzetting/krimping in de opwarm- c.q. afkoelfase zijn geen reden voor reclamatie en beïnvloeden
de werking niet.
In geval van een garantieclaim dient het infrarood verwarmingselement met de rekening of leverbon, alsmede met vermelding van de datum
waarop u het verwarmingselement heeft ontvangen, met nauwkeurige beschrijving van de gebreken en goed verpakt direct naar de service-
centrale gestuurd te worden:

detector and / or adaptive heating control.
