Hedler HT 19s User manual

Thank you for chosing a Hedler Light Unit and your confidence in the Hedler Light System.
Please, read the following technical informations carefully before using the Light Unit.
Codes are given in <Brackets>.
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
The Light Unit HEDLER HT 19s is designed for professional use, they are assembled by applying precision methods and tested individually for
function and quality. The HEDLER HT 19s is provided with an integrated U-Bracket and a friction brake and a 5/8” Quick-Lock Light Stand
Attachment. After loosening the hex key screws by app. 2 turns, the U-Bracket can be moved back and forth in its keyway for gravity adjustment
and it is turnable for right and left hand use.
The HEDLER HT 19s uses AC 110 - 230 V and the modern U-Tungsten lamps from 150 - 650 Watts. The lamp sockets can be used with individual
lamps from 150 - 650 Watts for each socket. Because of that, the HT 19s main advantage is, that you can use different light power settings
without changing the colour temperature of the light.
The use of an individual lamp in its socket results in a specific lamp-fuse-combination, the technical information about this can be found in a table
on the back.
Please notice, that the left fuse is for the lamp in the middle, the right fuse is for the two lamps left and right. Because of that, the fuse in the right
fuse holder has to have a fuse size which is the result of the two lamps own fuse sizes. Example: if there are two Tungsten lamps in the sockets
left and right, the correct fuse size (in this case) for the right fuse holder has to be F 4 + F 4 = F 8
On its front side, the aluminium housing holds the Borofloat™ safety glass. AdditionalIy there are the Uni-Adapt studs for attaching reflectors.
Interchangeable reflectors with bayonet ring can be attached in the following way: place the rim of the ring into the guide grooves of the upper
studs and the round opening over the cone-shaped bolt, and lock it by a turn to the left. To attach the rotatable Leaf Barndoors or a MaxiSoft
Folding Reflector, place the rim of the ring into the guide grooves of the upper studs, and then push the complete reflector towards the Quick-
Fit´s cone-shaped bolt until the ring locks in the bolt´s groove. Detach the reflector by lifting the Quick-Fit´s handle, moving the lower side of
the reflector away from the light unit´s housing, and then lifting the reflector´s ring out of the guide grooves of the upper studs. The Borofloat™
safety glass is held by a clip, which pulled upwards will permit removing the safety glass for replacing the lamp.
On the opposite side of the housing, one will find the ergonomically incorporated handgrip, the cable, the non-detachable fuse holders and for
visual function control illuminated switches.
The HEDLER HT 19s is provided with a Forced Air Cooling by DC motor, whose electronic will function on any AC supply of 110 - 230 V. It is
controlled by a thermostat, which also serves for protection of the electronics and permits continuous operation of the HT 19s in any position.
After switching the lamp(s) off, cooling will continue, until the temperature inside the housing has dropped to 35º C; then stop automatically. On
account of this, the HT 19s may remain connected to the main power supply permanently.
