Warnings
●Proper configuration of all passwords and other security settings is the responsibility of the installer and/or end-user.
●In the use of the product, you must be in strict compliance with the electrical safety regulations of the nation and region. Please
refer to technical specifications for detailed information.
●Input voltage should meet both the SELV (Safety Extra Low Voltage) and the Limited Power Source with 5 VDC according to the
IEC60950-1 standard. Please refer to technical specifications for detailed information.
●Do not connect several devices to one power adapter as adapter overload may cause over-heating or a fire hazard.
●Please make sure that the plug is firmly connected to the power socket.
●If smoke, odor or noise rise from the device, turn off the power at once and unplug the power cable, and then please contact
the service center.
Preventive and Cautionary Tips
Before connecting and operating your device, please be advised of the following tips:
●Make sure that all the related equipment is power-off during the installation.
●Do not place the product in high-temperature or damp environment, and do not expose it to high electromagnetic radiation.
●If the product does not function properly, please contact your dealer or the nearest service center. Do not disassemble the

Chapter 1 Introduction
1.1 Overview
Digital evidence management system, provides you a simplified way to access, back up, store data,
and play audio and video file in body camera. You can associate user accounts and body cameras
with client, search collection records, and upload data in the client. You can also access digital
evidence management system via web browser.
1.2 Key Features
Support searching and previewing files through user permission.
Support collecting, uploading, and managing data in connected body camera.
Support user and device management through user permission.
Support playing audio and video file.
Support video recording GPS pattern display with map file of GPS trace.
Support configuring and upgrading body camera of supported model.

Chapter 2 Installation
2.1 Packing List
You are recommended to check the objects in the package. Please contact us or suppliers if
anything is damaged or lost.
2.2 Software Installation
Digital evidence management system is installed in dock station in default. Double click “Digital
Evidence Management System.exe” to run it.
Device driver needs to be installed separately. In the directory of software installation, open “drive
→HK→driver-win64”or “drive→HK→driver-win32”, double click “install.bat” to run the driver.
Installation may differ in models. Please refer to the actual devices.

Chapter 3 Activation
Purpose:
For the first access, you need to activate the device by setting an admin password. No operation is
allowed before activation.
STRONG PASSWORD RECOMMENDED–We highly recommend you create a strong password of
your own choosing (Using a minimum of 8 characters, including at least three of the following
categories: upper case letters, lower case letters, numbers, and special characters.) in order to
increase the security of your product. And we recommend you reset your password regularly,
especially in the high security system, resetting the password monthly or weekly can better protect
your product.
Step 1 Double click “Digital Evidence Management System” shortcut, and click Start Configuration.
Step 2 Select language. (Chinese and English are available.)
Step 3 Set admin password and HDD space, and click Save.
Step 4 Set platform, and select platform type.
Step 5 Enter IP address, port No., user name and password.
Step 6 Enable or disable upload schedule, and set upload time.
Step 7 Click Save to finish the activation.

Chapter 4 Basic Operation
4.1 Device Access
4.1.1 Connect Body Camera
Step 1 Start up the dock station.
Step 2 Double click “Digital Evidence Management System” shortcut to run digital evidence
management system.
Step 3 Connect the body camera to the dock station.
Step 4 Start up the body camera.
4.1.2 Display Status
Digital evidence management system supports 8 body cameras simultaneously by default. If the
body camera has connected to the dock station, and device information will be displayed in device
box. If not, the device box will be in free.

Data collection
After connecting the body camera, uncollected file, user No., and device No. will be displayed in
device box.

Pre-collection
After the body camera is connected, digital evidence management system will start pre-collection
of data.

Priority Collection
Click First to set the data collection of the body camera as the first priority. Click First again to stop
the priority collection.
Data collection of other body cameras will be stopped till the first priority data collection finished.
The feature is only available for one body camera at a time. If no body camera has enabled the
function, dock station will collect data from all body cameras simultaneously.
Finishing Collection
After finishing collection, the information will be displayed in device box.

Collection View
After collection, click View to view the collection amount of all type.

Collecting Failed
If collecting failed, the information will be displayed in device box.

4.2 Home Page Overview
Device box and collection information will be displayed in Home Page. HDD information, platform
state, time, and network will be displayed in status bar.

Time
Week and time will be displayed in upper right Home Page. After registration, dock station will
auto synchronize time and charge body camera.
Platform Status
Platform status will be displayed in upper right Home Page, including IP address, port No., and
status.
HDD Information
HDD free space and used space will be displayed in bottom Home Page.
Network
Network will be displayed in upper right Home Page.
4.3 File Management
4.3.1 View File
After entering File Management interface, collected information can be viewed in sort with
generated view icons. Files can be searched by key words, date, file type and status. The
information will be stored in dock station HDD.

If device does not connect with platform, collected files will be displayed in whole instead of in
sort.
4.3.2 Play Media
Click the collected data thumbnail to play video, audio, or image. File information will be displayed
in prompted interface. You can edit the description or cancel the edition.

Video File: Video File can be dragged and double played. If there is map file of GPS trace
when collecting video files, the GPS trace information will be displayed and replayed when
playing video.
Image File: When viewing image, selected area can be zoomed in.
You can click the small arrow in side video window to play the last and next video.
4.3.3 Lock Data
You can lock collected data in File Management Interface.
Data can be locked in following two ways:
Lock via checking (when locking multiple or all pieces)
Check the “ ” before the pieces you want to lock, and click“ ” to lock it.
Lock via clicking (when locking single piece)
Click “ ” after the piece to lock it.
Collected data can be locked, and locked data cannot be deleted or covered.

4.4 Log Search
Click Log, and enter the log interface. You can select date and log type to search log.
If there is no operation for more than 10 minutes, the system will return to the Home Page. If there
is no operation after playing video or audio for more than 10 minutes, the system will also return
to Home Page.

Chapter 5 System Configuration
5.1 Basic Configuration
Go to Configuration > Basic to configure basic settings. You can set file search permission,
language, collection format, or set auto start up.
If you enable file search permission, when entering “File Management”, you need to enter user
name and password.
