TheBlizzard™OscillatingFancomescompletelyassembledandreadyfor
immediateuse. Carefullyunpackyourfan,refertotheoperatinginstruc-
tionsbelowandenjoy!
OperatingInstructions
ToUseYourFanInATablePosition:
STEP1:Setfanonadry,levelsurface.
STEP2:Plugcordintoanystandard120voltACoutlet. Pleasemakesure
theSpeedControlKnobisintheOFFposition.
STEP3:TheSpeedControlKnobislocatedonthebackofthefanmotor
housing. Thespeedisadjustedbyturningthecontrolknobtothe
desiredsetting,0forOff,IIIforHigh,IIforMedium,andIfor
Low.
ToUseYourFanInAWall-MountedPosition:
STEP1:Wall-Mountaccordingtoinstructionsbelow.
STEP2:Thepowercordcandrapedirectlydownaroundtheneckofthe
fan. Plugcordintoanystandard120voltACoutlet. Pleasemake
suretheSpeedControlKnobisintheOFFposition.
STEP3:TheSpeedControlKnobislocatedonthebackofthefanmotor
housing. Thespeedisadjustedbyturningthecontrol
knobtothedesiredsetting,0forOff,IIIforHigh,II
forMedium,andIforLow.

A.C.(AlternatingCurrent)PLUG(aplughavingone
bladewiderthantheother).Thisplugwillfitinto
thepoweroutletonlyoneway.Thisisasafetyfea-
ture.Ifyouareunabletoinserttheplugfullyinto
theoutlet,tryreversingtheplug.Iftheplugshould
stillfailtofit,contactanelectriciantoreplacetheobsoleteoutlet.

Use this diagram to help properly line up screws.

Adjustment/AssemblyInstructions
OscillationControl:
TheOscillationControlSwitchislocatedonthetopofthemotorhousing.
Pushtheswitchdownforoscillation,orpulltheswitchupforoperationin
astationaryposition.
TablePosition:
TheBlizzard™OscillatingFanisdesignedtooperateasatablefanfrom3
differentpositions. Toadjustthedirectionofthefan,holdontothefront
ofthefanheadwithbothhands,andgentlypushtothedesiredposition.
Wall-MountPosition:
TheBlizzard™OscillatingFanisdesignedtooperatefrom4different
positionswhilewall-mounted. Thefirst3positionsaresetbygentlypush-
ingthefanheadtothedesiredlocation. Tosetthefaninthefourthand
furthestbackposition,pressdownfirmlyonthewall-mountlockatthe
backofthefanneckwithonehand,whilepushingthefanheadbackinto
thefourthpositionwithyourotherhand.
PleaseNote:Whentakingthefandownfromthewallandchangingto
tablefanoperation,makesuretopullthefanheadforwardoutofthe
fourthwall-position. Pullgentlyforwarduntilyouhearthewall-mount
locksecurethefanbackintotablemode. Youwillthenhavethe3stan-
dardtablefanpositionsavailabletochoosefrom.
STEP1:Afterselectingasuitablelocationonthewall,usethemounting
locationguidebelowtoensureproperplacement.
STEP2:Usetheholesasaguideandmarkthecorrectplacewherethe
screwswillbeinserted. ConsultwithaHardwareorHomeCenter
forthebestscrewsforyourtypeofwall.
STEP3:Securethescrewsalmostallthewayintothewallusingascrew-
driver.
STEP4:Lineuptheholesonthebackoftheunitwiththescrewstohang
yourfan. Makesurethescrewsaresecurelyscrewedintothewall
beforecarefullyplacingthefanonthem.
FanHeadCleaning:
Usingasoft,moistcloth,withorwithoutamild,soapsolution,carefully
cleanthefanhead.Pleaseusecautionaroundthemotorhousingarea.Do
notallowthemotororotherelectricalcomponentstobeexposedtowater.
DONOTATTEMPTTOREMOVETHEFANBLADE.
FANSTORAGE:
Yourfancanbestoredintheoff-seasoneitherpartiallydisassembledor
assembled.Itisimportanttokeepitinasafe,drylocation.
•Ifstoreddisassembled,werecommendusingtheoriginal(orappropri-
atelysized)box.
•Remembertoprotectthefanheadfromdust.TheexclusiveHolmes
ProductsFanBonnetisavailabletosafeguardyourfan.(Seeattached

B.TheWarrantyRegistrationCardenclosedwiththisproductmustbe
completedandreturnedwithin10daysofpurchaseforyourWarranty
tobeeffective.ThisWarrantyappliesonlytotheoriginalpurchaserof
thisproduct.
C.ThisWarrantyappliesONLYtorepairorreplacementofanysupplied
ormanufacturedpartsofthisproductthat,uponinspectionbyHolmes
authorizedpersonnel,provestohavefailedinnormalusedueto
defectsinmaterialorworkmanship.Holmeswilldeterminewhetherto
repairorreplacetheunit.ThisWarrantydoesnotapplytoinstallation
expenses.
D.Operatingthisunitunderconditionsotherthanthoserecommended
oratvoltagesotherthanthevoltageindicatedontheunit,orattempt-
ingtoserviceormodifytheunit,willrenderthisWARRANTYVOID.
E.Unlessotherwiseproscribedbylaw,Holmesshallnotbeliableforany
personalinjury,propertyoranyincidentalorconsequentialdamages
