thantheother)Thisplugwillfitintothepoweroutletonlyone
way. Thisisasafetyfeature.Ifyouareunabletoinsertthe
plugfullyintotheoutlet,tryreversingtheplug.Iftheplug
shouldstillfailtofit,contactanelectriciantoreplacethe
obsoleteoutlet.

Carefullyunpackallthecontentsof
thecarton. Takethetwoplasticfeet
andinsertintotheholeslocatedon
thebottomofthefan. Slidethe
plasticfeetuntiltheysnapinto
place. Toensureultimatequiet
operationadheretheprovidedrub-
berfoamcushioninthebottomof
eachfoot.
OPERATINGINSTRUCTIONS:
Step1:Setfanbaseonadry,levelsurface.
Step2:Plugcordintoanystandard120voltAC
outlet.Pleasemakesurethespeed
controlknobisinthe“Off”position.
Thespeedcontrolknobislocatedon
thetoprightsideofthefronthousing
(seefig1).
Step3:DirectionalGrillAdjustment-Tocus-
tomizethedirectionofairflow,simply
turnthecircularfrontgrilltothe
desiredlocation.
Step4:Thespeedisadjustedbyturningthecon-
trolknobtothedesiredsetting,
“Off-High-Med-Low.

CLEANING/MAINTENANCEINSTRUCTIONS:
FollowtheseinstructionstocorrectlyandsafelycareforyourHolmesboxfan.
Pleaseremember:
•Alwaysunplugthefanbeforecleaningordisassembling.
•Donotallowwatertodriponorenterintothefanhousing.
•Besuretouseasoftclothmoistenedwithamildsoapsolution.
•Donotuseanyofthefollowingasacleaner:gasoline,thinner,orbenzine.
Fan Blade Cleaning:
RemovethesixscrewsfromtheREARgrill.Cleanbladesandgrillswith soft
moistenedcloth.Donotimmersethemotorinwater.Also,donotoperatethe
fanwithgrill(s)removed.
Note:Pleasebecautiousaroundthemotorhousingarea.Donotallowthe
motororelectronicstobeexposedtowater.
FANSTORAGEINSTRUCTIONS:
Duringtheoffseasonwerecommendstoringyourfaninitsoriginalbox. Itisimpor-
tanttocleanyourfanfirstandthenkeepitinasafe,drylocation.

B.ThisWarrantyappliesONLYtorepairorreplacementofanysuppliedormanufactured
partsofthisproductthat,uponinspectionbyHolmesauthorizedpersonnel,provestohave
failedinnormaluseduetodefectsinmaterialorworkmanship.Holmeswilldetermine
whethertorepairorreplacetheunit.ThisWarrantydoesnotapplytoinstallationexpenses.
C.Operatingthisunitunderconditionsotherthanthoserecommendedoratvoltagesother
thanthevoltageindicatedontheunit,orattemptingtoserviceormodifytheunit,will
renderthisWARRANTYVOID.
D.Unlessotherwiseproscribedbylaw,Holmesshallnotbeliableforanypersonalinjury,
propertyoranyincidentalorconsequentialdamagesofanykind(includingwaterdamage)
resultingfrommalfunctions,defects,misuse,improperinstallationoralterationofthis
