La Technologie LED • Des lampes à incandescence normale donnent de la lumière

Installing the batteries In order to use your Homeij ‘CIVIC’ LED flashlight, insert the 2 supplied AA (LR6) batteries. For this, screw off the end cap of the flashlight and place both batteries in the cylinder with the + pole towards the lens cap. Afterwards, replace the end cap and tighten it firmly. Opération de votre torche Homeij‘CIVIC’

2. Light intensity 50% for normal use, economical with energy;

Operating your Homeij ‘CIVIC’ flashlight
Switching between the three light intensities and the flashing
light is easy:
1. Press the button in completely and switch the light on.
2. By pressing the button one or more times lightly, the lamp
switches between the light intensities and the signal
flashing light.
3. Press the button again completely and the light goes out.
4. Memory function: press as in 3. but then after 2 seconds the
LED remembers the previously selected light intensity;
when you press again completely, the light goes on at that
intensity.

LED Technology
• Light bulbs give light by heating a glowing element.Only a
maximum of 25% of the energy is transformed into light,
the rest is dissipated as heat.
• A LED (Light Emitting Diode) is a semi-conductor made
from, among other things, silicon under electrical voltage.
This stimulates an electron flow with emitted photons,
which is visible as light.Therefore, LEDs produce mainly
light and no heat.

Bediening van uw Homeij ‘CIVIC’ zaklamp
Schakelen tussen de drie lichtsterktes en het knipperlicht
gaat makkelijk:
1. Druk de knop volledig in en de lamp gaat aan.
2. Door nu de knop één of meerdere keren licht in te
drukken schakelt de lamp tussen de lichtsterktes resp.
het signaal-knipperlicht.
3. Druk de knop weer volledig in en de lamp gaat uit.
4. Memoryfunctie: indrukken als bij 3. maar dan 2 seconden
en de LED onthoudt de laatstgekozen lichtsterkte; bij
opnieuw volledig indrukken gaat de lamp in die sterkte aan.

De LED-Technologie
• Gloeilampen geven licht door een draad gloeiend heet te
maken. Daarbij wordt echter slechts maximaal 25% van de
energie omgezet in licht, de rest verdwijnt als warmte.
• Een LED (Light Emitting Diode) is een halfgeleider met
o.a. silicium onder elektrische spanning. Hierdoor komt
een elektronenstroom op gang met vrijkomende fotonen,
die zichtbaar zijn als licht. LEDs produceren daardoor
vooral licht en geen warmte.
• De voordelen van LED-verlichting zijn overtuigend:
- LEDs hebben géén gloeidraad die kan doorbranden
of die kan breken door trillingen of schokken, waar-
door ze extreem lang meegaan.
- Ze zijn vele malen efficiënter dan een standaard
gloeilamp door ca. 90% minder stroomverbruik, waar
door de batterijen een veel langere levensduur hebben -
en dat bij een gelijke lichtopbrengst.

• Altijd droog en op een droge plek bewaren, ook ter
conservering van de batterijen.
• Als u verwacht uw zaklamp geruime tijd niet te gebruiken,
altijd de batterijen verwijderen.Zo voorkomt u niet alleen
energieverlies van de batterijen maar ook dat de batterijen
gaan lekken en uw zaklamp onbruikbaar maken (valt niet
onder de Homeij-garantie).
• Reinigen kan het beste met een iets vochtige doek.
• Als de einddop moeilijk draaibaar is kunt u een druppel
(naaimachine-)olie op de schroefdraad doen.

bouton pression marche/arrêt dans le couvercle vissé permet
un Contrôle Intelligent de la Lumière:
1. Intensité de lumière 100%,pour une netteté et une portée
maximale;la durée de vie des piles est de 3,5 heures environ.
2. Intensité de lumière 50%, pour un usage normal, économise
l’énergie; la durée de vie des piles est de 6 heures environ.
3. Intensité de lumière 25%, pour un usage super-économique;
la durée de vie des piles est de 15 heures environ.
4. Témoin clignotant pour alarme et signal.
