SECTION 1:
INTRODUCTION
1.1 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The CSC Series covert cameras are designed to blend into
commercial or office settings while providing superior
resolution and low-light capability. Built-in voltage
regulators prevent high voltage from reducing the life of the
camera.

SECTION 2:
INSTALLATION
2.1 BEFORE INSTALLING
Select a suitable location for the camera and enclosure.
•Select a location where an intruder is most likely to
cross the range of the detector.
•Do not place the camera in front of windows subject to
direct sunlight.
•Avoid locations which come in direct contact with
radiators, heating/cooling ducts, air conditioners, or
drafts.
•Do not place the camera in front of bulky objects
where camera view will be impaired.
2.2 MOUNTING THE CAMERA
The camera can be mounted directly to a wall or with an
optional mounting bracket for greater maneuverability.
Contact your sales representative for information about
mounting brackets.
To mount the unit directly to a wall:
1. Open the housing by pressing the snap-fit at the bottom
of the unit and gently separating the front and back
sections while avoiding damage to the camera
connections. Do not touch the face of the PYRO
sensor.
2. Remove the electronics board (PCB) screw to access
the rear housing. Refer to Figure 1 or 2, depending on
camera model.

3. Use the provided knockouts to assist in mounting the
unit. Use the side knockouts to mount the camera at an
angle.

4. Reattach the electronics board to the rear housing,
making final wiring additions if needed.

5. Several operation options and modes are selectable via
DIP switches. (Models CSC110BU/CSC110CU only.)
Option Description
Pulse Counter Controls the amount of pulses (either
1 or 3 pulse mode) that need to be
detected before the detector activates.
LED Indicator Lights LED when movement is
detected. Only disable the LED
indicator after successfully walk
testing the detector.
Relay Operation Selectable to Normally Open (N.O.)
or Normally Closed (N.C.). If one
side of relay grounding is required,
install the relay grounding jumper as
JP1.
Set the switches using the following information:
Option Sw ON OFF
Pulse Counter 1 3 Pulse Mode 1 Pulse Mode
LED Indicator 2 LED ON LED OFF
Relay Operation 3 Relay N.C. Relay N.O.
6. Attach the front cover.
7. Connect the unit to a UL listed power supply or Ultrak
observation system.
2.3 WARM UP TIME
The detector will warm up for the first 90 seconds after
applying power.

2.4 WALK TESTING THE DETECTOR
A walk test is used to determine the lens coverage pattern
of the detector and should be performed weekly.
1. Walk across the scope of the detector according to the
detection pattern selected. Since the pattern is
determined by the lens used in the detector, refer to the
lens range diagram.
2. Confirm that the LED activates, then deactivates after 2
motion-free seconds.
NOTE:
Camera view is wider than
PIR coverage pattern.

2.5 VOLTAGE REGULATION
The detector includes an on-board voltage regulator;
no external voltage regulation is necessary.
