II. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING
1. This icemakeris designed to produceand store edible ice.
Tokeeptheicemakerhygienic:
*Washyourhandsbeforeremovingice.Usetheplastic
scoopprovided(accessory).
*Thestorage bin isforiceuse only.Do notstoreanything
elseinthebin.
*Cleanthestoragebinbeforeuse(see“III.1.CLEANING”).
*Keepthescoopclean.Cleanitbyusinganeutralcleaner
andrinsethoroughly.
*Close the doorafterremovingice to prevent entrance of
dirt,dustorinsectsintothestoragebin.
2. Theuseofanyelectricalequipmentinvolvestheobservance
ofsomefundamentalrules.Inparticular:
*Instancesofhigh humidity and moisture increasetherisk
ofelectricalshortcircuitsandpotentialelectricalshocks.If
indoubt,disconnecttheicemaker.
*Do not pull the power cord in order to disconnect the
icemakerfromthefeednetwork.
*Thisapplianceisnotintendedforusebypersons(including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities,or lack of experienceand knowledge, unless
theyhavebeengivensupervisionorinstructionconcerning
useoftheappliancebyapersonresponsiblefortheir
safety.
*Youngchildrenshouldbesupervisedtoensurethattheydo
notplaywiththeappliance.
3.Allpartsarefactory-adjusted.Improperadjustmentsmay
resultinfailure.
4.Iftheunitisturnedoff,waitforatleast3minutesbefore
restartingtheicemakertopreventdamagetothe
compressor.
1. OPERATION
Theinstallerwillnormallycommissiontheicemakertostartthe
automaticicemakingprocess.Toensurecontinuousoperation,make
surethat:
* Thewatersupplytapison,
* Theicemakerispluggedintothepowersupply,and
* The control switch is in the “ICE” position (remove the air lter to
check).
2. PREPARING THE ICEMAKER FOR LONG STORAGE
1)Movethecontrolswitchtothe“OFF”position.
2)Unplugtheicemakerordisconnectthepowersupply.
3)Closethewatersupplytap,andremovetheinlethose.
4)Removeallicefromthestoragebin,andcleanthebin.
5)Disconnectthesiliconehosetodrainthewaterfromthewatertank.
Reconnectthesiliconehosebackinitscorrectpositionafterallof
thewaterhasdrained.SeeFig.5.
III. MAINTENANCE
1. CLEANING
WARNING
1.Beforecarryingoutanycleaningormaintenanceoperations,
unplugtheicemakerfromtheelectricalsupplynetwork.
2.Askatrainedservicepersontocheckandcleanthe
condenseratleastonceayear.
3.Thisappliancemustnotbecleanedbyuseofawaterjet.
4.Donotuseanyalcoholforcleaning/sanitisationofthe
icemaker.Itmaycausecracksontheplasticparts.
5. Do not remove the top panel and louver. Only a qualified
servicepersonshouldremovethem.
6.Topreventpossibledamage,donotclean theplasticparts
withwaterabove40°Corinadishwasher.

Wipetheexterioratleastonceperweekwithaclean,softcloth.Use
adampclothcontaininganeutralcleanertowipeoffgreaseordirt.
[2] Scoop and Bin Door Grip Cleaning/Sanitisation (Daily)
1)Eithermix3litresofwaterwith11mlof5.25%sodiumhypochlorite
solutioninasuitablecontainer,ortherecommendedHoshizaki
sanitiserasdirected.
2)Soakthescoopinthesolutionformorethan3minutes.Rinse
thoroughly,andshaketoremovesurplusliquid.
Note:Usingaclothtodrymayre-contaminate.
3)Useaneutralcleanertowashthebindoorgrip.Rinsethoroughly.
4)Soak acleanclothwiththesanitisingsolution,andwipethegrip.
Usefreshwaterandacleanclothtorinse/dry.
[3] Storage Bin Interior Cleaning/Sanitisation (Weekly)
1)Openthestoragebindoor,andremoveallice.
2)Washthebinlinerwithaneutralnon-abrasivecleaner.Rinse
thoroughly.
3)Soakacleanclothwiththeneutralcleaner,andwipethedoorinner
surface.Wipeoffthecleanerwithacleandampcloth.
4)Eithermix3litresofwaterwith11mlof5.25%sodiumhypochlorite
solutioninasuitablecontainerortherecommendedHoshizaki
sanitiserasdirected.
5)Soakacleansponge or cloth with the solution, and wipethebin
linerandbindoor.
6)Rinsethoroughlywithfreshwaterandacleanclothtowipeoffthe
solution.Closethebindoor.
Note: Somesolutionsmaycausedamagetothebinlinersurfaces
orcorrosiononthe metal parts.Alwaysrinsethe sanitiser
unlessdirectedotherwisebyHoshizakiguidelines.
[4] Air Filter
Plasticmeshairfiltersremovedirtordustfromtheair,andkeep
thecondenserfromgettingclogged.Ifthefiltersgetclogged,the
icemaker’sperformance will bereduced.Removeandclean the air
ltersatleasttwicepermonth:
1)Removetheairlter.
Note: Donotputyourhandinsidethemachinecompartment.
