4. Never operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working
properly, or if it has been dropped, damaged, or dropped into water. Return the
appliance to a service center for examination and repair.
NOTE: Helen of Troy L.P. does not have an authorized service center. However, if
this appliance is still under warranty, return it to the Helen of Troy Consumer Service
Department for replacement.
5. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces. DO NOT pull, twist or wrap the cord around
the barrel.
6. Never block the air openings of the appliance or place it on a soft surface, such as a
bed or couch, where the air openings may be blocked. Keep the air openings free of lint,
hair, and the like.
7. Never use while sleeping.
8. Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
9. DO NOT use outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or
where oxygen is being administered.
10. DO NOT use an extension cord with this appliance.
11. DO NOT direct hot air toward eyes or other heat sensitive areas.
12. Attachments (when furnished) may be hot during use. Allow them to cool before
handling.
13. DO NOT place appliance on any surface while it is operating.
14. While using the appliance, keep your hair away from the air inlets.
15. DO NOT operate with a voltage converter.

USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is equipped with a thermostat that may cycle OFF or cause the heaters to turn
off if the temperature exceeds comfort level due to partially blocked air inlet or outlet
openings. In the event that the appliance stops or releases only cool air during use, turn off
the switches and allow the appliance to cool down, at which time the thermostat will
automatically reset. During use, DO NOT block the air openings. When using this appliance
near water (e.g., bathrooms), the use of an electrical outlet protected by a Ground Fault
Circuit Interrupter is recommended.
Maintenance
Your appliance is virtually maintenance free. No lubrication is needed. Keep heated
surfaces clean and free of dust, dirt, and hair spray. If cleaning becomes necessary, unplug
the appliance from the power source and wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. If the cord
becomes twisted, untwist prior to use.
WARNING: If any malfunction occurs, do not attempt to repair. This appliance has no user-
serviceable parts.
STORAGE
Unplug appliance when not in use.
Allow appliance to cool and store out of reach of children in a safe, dry location. Never wrap
the cord around the appliance since this will cause the cord to wear prematurely and break.
Handle cord carefully for longer life and avoid jerking, bending sharply, twisting, or straining
cord, especially at plug connections.

If your dryer unexpectedly stops, or if it is not blowing
hot air, turn it off, unplug it and CLEAN THE LINT FILTER
while waiting 5 minutes for the dryer to cool down. Then
press the red ”reset” button on the ALCI safety plug
until it clicks. Your dryer should resume operation.

INSTRUCCIONES DE USO

Enchufe el artefacto en el tomacorriente y presione el botón de prueba. El secador debe

Cómo usar el cepillo de aire caliente
• Antes de usar el cepillo de aire caliente, seque el cabello con una toalla y dese rédelo con
un peine o cepillo. Será más fácil modelar el cabello si está apenas húmedo, no mojado.
• Enchufe el cepillo de aire caliente en un tomacorrientes eléctrico y deslice el interruptor
hasta la posición alta para modelar cabello de textura mediana a gruesa. Se recomienda
la posición más baja para cabello fino.
• Pase lentamente el cepillo por el cabello comenzando en el cuero cabellludo y
moviéndose hacia las puntas.
• Tome una pequeña sección de cabello de aproximadamente 2 pulgadas para formar un
rizo, ondas o darle cuerpo.
• Usando una mano para sostener la punta fría y la otra para sostener el mango, coloque
el cepillo de aire caliente por debajo del cabello y enrolle para formar un rizo.
• Deje el cepillo de aire caliente enrollado entre 10 y 15 segundos en el caso de cabello
de textura mediana a gruesa o entre 5 y 10 segundos en el caso de cabello fino. Repita
hasta lograr el rizo deseado.
• Para dar cuerpo, cepille el cabello hacia arriba y alejándose del cuero cabelludo, yendo

• Para soltar un rizo sin que se enrede, presione el interruptor de traba del tambor y
sosténgalo. El tambor se soltará para que pueda soltar el rizo fácilmente.
• Para alisar el cabello, cepille alejándose del cuero cabelludo tanto por arriba como por
debajo del mechón de cabello que está alisando hasta que el cabello esté tibio y seco.
• Cuando haya terminado de modelar el cabello, deslice el interruptor a la posición “off”
(apagado) y desenchufe el artefacto.
INSTRUCCIONES DE LIMPIEZA DE LOS FILTRO(S) PARA PELUSA

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety
feature, this plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully
in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not
attempt to force the plug into an improper outlet. For U.S. residents only: In the event of
an unusual circumstance such as immersion, the protective device will not allow the dryer
to operate. Periodically check the safety plug to verify it is in proper working order. Plug the
appliance in an electrical outlet and press the test button. The dryer should stop immediately.
To resume operation, press the reset button.
Helpful Styling Hints
• Before using your Hot Air Brush, towel-dry your hair and smooth it with a comb or brush
to prevent tangling. Styling your hair will be faster if the hair is slightly damp, not wet.
• Plug the Hot Air Brush into an electrical outlet and slide the switch to the “high” setting
for styling medium to thick hair. The “low” setting is recommended for fine hair.
• Slowly run the brush through hair starting from the scalp and moving toward the ends.
• Take a small section of hair, about 2 inches, to style in curls, waves or body.
• Using one hand to hold the Cool Tip and the other to hold the handle, place the Hot Air
Brush under the hair and roll for a curl.
• Leave the Hot Air Brush in the roll for 10 -15 seconds for medium to thick hair or 5-10
seconds for fine hair. Repeat the roll until the desired curl is shaped.
• To create body, brush hair up and away from the scalp, stroking against the natural
direction of growth. Repeat often for long-lasting body and volume.
• To release a tangle-free curl, push the Locking Barrel Switch down and hold. The barrel
will release for easy unwinding.
• To straighten, brush away from the scalp, both over and under the tress of hair to be
straightened until the hair is warm and dry.
• When styling is complete, slide the switch to the “off” position and unplug the unit.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS FOR LINT FILTER(S)
• CLEAN THE AIR INLET DAILY. This will extend the life of your hot air brush and prevent
it from overheating and shutting off.
• Remove dust and lint from the internal lint filter using a brush, fingers or a vacuum
cleaner.
CLEANING YOUR HOT AIR BRUSH
• The tangle-free bristle sleeve may be removed for cleaning.
• Before cleaning the appliance, allow the unit to cool. Never remove the brush sleeve
when hot.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
Follow these important steps in removing the brush barrel from the Hot Air Brush:
1. Hold the barrel of the Hot Air Brush away from you. Turn the Cool Tip counterclockwise
to remove.
2. Detach the Cool Tip from the end of the barrel.
3. After the Cool Tip is removed, slide the brush barrel off. After cleaning, return the
attachment. When it is firmly in place, replace the Cool Tip and lock it in position by
turning clockwise.

simply return it to the place of purchase with proof of purchase for a no-charge
replacement.
