7. Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
8. DO NOT use outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray) products are
being used or where oxygen is being administered.
9. The surface of this brush is hot when in use. DO NOT let eyes and bare
skin touch heated surfaces. Use the handle.
10. DO NOT use an extension cord with this appliance.
11. DO NOT place the heated appliance directly on any surface while it is hot
or plugged in.
12. DO NOT operate this appliance with a voltage converter.
13. Before plugging in, read the information about dual voltage contained in
the operating instructions section of this manual.
14. DO NOT place unit with bristles facing down on any surface.

USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Maintenance
Your appliance is virtually maintenance-free. No lubrication is needed. Keep
heated surfaces clean and free of dust, dirt, and hair spray. If cleaning
becomes necessary, unplug the appliance from the power source and clean
using a damp cloth. If the cord becomes twisted, untwist prior to use.
WARNING: If any malfunction occurs, do not attempt to repair. This
appliance has no user-serviceable parts.
STORAGE
Unplug appliance when not in use.
Allow appliance to cool and store out of reach of children in a safe, dry
location. Never wrap the cord around the appliance since this will cause the
cord to wear prematurely and break. Handle cord carefully for longer life
and avoid jerking, bending sharply, twisting, or straining cord, especially at
plug connections.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a
safety feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug
does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a
qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
IMPORTANT: The high-performance heater in this unit contains an
oil-based protective coating that will burn off during the first few minutes
of initial use and may emit smoke and/or an odor. You may also hear a
humming noise during use. This is normal and is not a cause for concern.
Multi-dimensional Combs and Detangling Bristles
Multi-Dimensional Combs and Detangling Bristles gently glide through hair
and get close to the roots, protecting hair from over-styling and locking in
moisture, delivering silky, smooth results.
Smart Heat Memory System
State-of-the-art design automatically recalls the last temperature as your
preferred heat setting. Turn the unit on by pressing the Button. Rotate
the
  symbols to select your preferred setting. Your Heated Brush will
recognize the selected heat temperature the next time the unit is turned on.
Auto Shut-off
Your Heated Brush has an Automatic Shut-off feature. Should you forget to
turn off the Heated Brush, it will automatically shut off after an hour.
Automatic Worldwide Dual Voltage
This appliance will automatically adjust to the proper voltage. In North America,
connect the plug into any outlet. Outside North America, use a plug adapter of
the proper configuration with the plug before connecting into any outlet.
Operating the Super Ion Generator
Super Ion Generator is designed to give maximum frizz control, delivering a
constant stream of ions for brilliant shine and manageability. Immediately
after turning on the Heated Brush, you’ll hear the gentle crackling of millions
of ions that are quickly neutralizing frizz and maximizing sheen for strand
softness and manageability. The Super Ionic Generator releases a flow of
powerful static-fighting ions that smooth and straighten your hair for a
polished, brilliant shine.
Start-up
• To begin styling, plug the Heated Brush into an electrical outlet.
• Press Button. The digital display unit will turn on and display the
temperature setting.
• To increase the heat setting, rotate
 . The LED screen will display the
temperature setting.
• To lower the heat setting, rotate
 .
• Once the temperature is selected the temperature setting will blink for 30
seconds. Once the temperature becomes solid the Heated Brush is ready
to use.
• Temperature will automatically LOCK after 10 seconds of last control
used. To UNLOCK, turn dial to the left or right and hold for 1.5 seconds.
•For best results follow the temperature guidelines below:
Heat Selection Hair Type
250°F - 290°F For fine, thin hair
300°F - 340°F For medium to wavy hair
350°F - 380°F For curly to thick hair
390°F - 430°F For coarse, hard-to-style hair
Helpful Styling Hints
• Hair should be clean and dried completely before using the styling tool.
• Before using this appliance, detangle hair by brushing or combing.
• Style hair as desired by brushing hair with Heated Brush.
• No need to section your hair. The ceramic comb and detangling bristles
glide easily throughout your hair, including the back of your head.
• Use the Ribbed Exterior Housing to create flips or curl under ends. To
create more volume and body, simply wrap hair around housing. The
ribbed exterior will guide hair, creating the desired volume.
• When styling is complete, press and hold the
Button to turn off.
• Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool before storing. DO NOT wrap
the cord around the Heated Brush. Use the practical Hanging Ring. This
keeps the cord from tangling and wearing prematurely.
