Moistureremoval
Themoisturethatyour aircondi-
tioner removesfrom the air drains
to the rearofthe cabinetwhere it
ispicked upbyafananddispersed

“pinging” noisemaybeheard.Thisis
normalfor ashorttime inlesshumid
areasandlongerinvery humid
areas.This methodof moisture
removalimprovesthe operational
efficiencyofyour air conditioner.
Note:Beforemovingyouraircondi-
tioner to anotherlocation,turn it
offandwait 5or 10minutes.This
will allowthe condensateto drain
fromthecoilintothebasepan.Then,
keepingafirm grip onthe aircondi-
tioner,carefully raisethe window
andtilt the airconditioner to the
outsideto drainthe waterfrom the
basepan.
