Dear Customer,
This is to notify you that effective September 21, 2001 we are no longer
including Red Hat®Linux bundled with the hp workstation i2000.
• For the latest tested and supported Linux distributions for the i2000
please see the following web site.

• Currently HP supports Red Hat®7.1 for IPF, which is currently available
from Red Hat®at the following web site.
http://www.redhat.com/software/linux/7-1_itanium.html
As part of our Linux strategy to support the Linux Standards Base (LSB), we are
currently evaluating a number of different Linux distributions to determine
which we will ship in the future on the i2000. HP is committed to supporting LSB
compliant Linux distributions on our Itanium Processor Family (IPF) systems.
