1. Introduction

2. Safety Instructions
Read and understand this manual and all safety signs before using this appliance.
•This device can be used by children aged from 8 years and above, and persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of
the device in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not
play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children
without supervision.
•Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by
the warranty and the dealer will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or
problems.
•A qualified technician should install and service this device.
•Do not switch the device on immediately after it has been exposed to changes in
temperature. Protect the device against damage by leaving it switched off until it
has reached room temperature.
•This device falls under protection class 1. It is therefore essential that the device be
earthed. Have a qualified person carry out the electric connection.
•Make sure that the available voltage does not exceed the voltage stated in the
specifications of this manual.

3. General Guidelines
•Refer to the Velleman®Service and Quality Warranty on the last pages of this
manual.
•This device is designed for professional use on stage, in discos, theatres… The
MICW81 should only be used indoors with the included adaptor or with one having
the same rating, connected to a 230 V~, 50 Hz (max.) power source.
•Protect this device from shocks and abuse. Avoid brute force when operating the
device.
•Select a location where the device is protected against extreme heat, dust and
moisture.
•Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device before actually using it. Any
damage that may occur will most probably be due to unprofessional use of the
device.
•All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons.
•Only use the device for its intended purpose. Using the device in an unauthorised
way will void the warranty.
•Use the original packaging if the device is to be transported.
•Make sure never to operate or transport the device outside the specified
temperature range (see Technical specifications).
•Keep this manual for future reference.

5. Powering Your System
5.1 Receiver
1. Make sure the receiver is switched off and the volume knob is at its minimum.
2. Connect the adapter to the receiver and plug it in the mains.
3. Switch on the receiver.
5.2 Microphone
When the low-battery indicator lights, the battery is low. Replace the batteries with new
ones.
1. Make sure the microphone is switched off.
2. Open the battery compartment by lifting the plastic cover.
3. Insert two new 1.5 V AA batteries in accordance with the polarity markings inside
the battery compartment. Do not use rechargeable batteries as these might
influence the performance.
4. Close the battery compartment and switch on the microphone.
WARNING
•Malfunction may occur if the power is on when the battery is replaced. Dispose of
batteries in accordance with local regulations.
•Keep batteries away from children.
6. Operation
1. Pull out both antennas and place them perpendicular to the receiver.
2. Connect the receiver to the sound system:
oOUT MIX: Use an appropriate audio cable to connect to the amplifier or mixing
table.
oBALANCE OUT: Use an appropriate audio cable to connect to the amplifier or
mixing table.
3. Make sure the volume level is at its minimum and switch on the receiver.
4. Switch on the microphone.
5. Adjust the volume to a moderate level.
6. Turn the volume level to its minimum prior to switch off the receiver.

7. Care and Maintenance
•All screws should be tightened and free of corrosion.
•The housing, visible parts, mounting supports and the installation location (e.g.
ceiling, suspension, trussing) should not be deformed, modified or tampered with;
e.g. do not drill extra holes in mounting supports, do not change the location of the
connections…
•The electric power supply cables must not show any damage. Have a qualified
technician maintain the device.
•Disconnect the device from the mains prior to maintenance activities.
•Wipe the device regularly with a moist, lint-free cloth. Do not use alcohol or
solvents.
•Do not open the receiver. There are no user-serviceable parts.
•Contact your dealer for spare parts if necessary.
•Remove power and batteries when the device is not used for a long time.

1. Inleiding

3. Algemene richtlijnen
•Raadpleeg de Velleman® service- en kwaliteitsgarantie achteraan deze handleiding.
•Dit toestel is ontworpen voor professioneel gebruik op podia, in disco's, theaters…
De MICW81 is uitsluitend geschikt voor gebruik binnenshuis met de meegeleverde
adapter of een voedingsadapter met dezelfde specificaties, op een wisselspanning
van maximum 230 V~, 50 Hz.
•Bescherm tegen schokken. Vermijd brute kracht tijdens de bediening van het
toestel.
•Installeer het toestel weg van extreme temperaturen, vochtigheid en stof.
•Leer eerst de functies van het toestel kennen voor u het gaat gebruiken. Meestal is
beschadiging het gevolg van ondeskundig gebruik van het toestel.
•Om veiligheidsredenen mag u geen wijzigingen aanbrengen.
•Gebruik het toestel enkel waarvoor het gemaakt is. De garantie vervalt automatisch
bij ongeoorloofd gebruik.
•Gebruik de oorspronkelijke verpakking tijdens het transport.
•Gebruik of transporteer het toestel enkel binnen het opgegeven temperatuurbereik
(zie §12 Technische specificaties).
•Bewaar deze handleiding voor verdere raadpleging.

5. Het systeem inschakelen
5.1 Ontvanger
1. Schakel de ontvanger uit en stel het volume in op het minimum.
2. Koppel de adapter aan de ontvanger en sluit deze aan op het lichtnet.
3. Schakel de ontvanger in.
5.2 Microfoon
Wanneer de lege batterij-indicator oplicht, zijn de batterijen bijna leeg. Vervang de
batterijen.
1. Schakel de microfoon uit.
2. Open het batterijvak door het plastic klepje weg te schuiven.
3. Plaats twee nieuwe 1.5 V AA-batterijen. Respecteer de polariteit in het batterijvak.
Gebruik geen herlaadbare batterijen, dit kan de werking beïnvloeden.
4. Sluit het batterijvak en schakel de microfoon in.
WAARSCHUWING
•Bij vervanging van de batterijen op een ingeschakeld toestel kunnen fouten
optreden. Gooi batterijen weg volgens de plaatselijke milieuwetgeving.
•Houd batterijen buiten het bereik van kinderen.
6. Gebruik
1. Trek beide antennes uit en plaats deze loodrecht op de ontvanger.
2. Sluit de ontvanger aan op het geluidssysteem:
oOUT MIX: Gebruik een geschikte audiokabel om op de versterker of mengtafel
aan te sluiten.
oBALANCE OUT: Gebruik een geschikte audiokabel om op de versterker of
mengtafel aan te sluiten.
3. Stel het volume in op het minimum en schakel de ontvanger in.
4. Schakel de microfoon in.
5. Stel het volume in op een comfortabel niveau.
6. Stel het volume in op het minimum voordat u de ontvanger uitschakelt.

7. Reiniging en onderhoud
•Alle schroeven moeten goed zijn aangespannen en mogen geen sporen van roest
vertonen.
•De behuizing, de lenzen, de montagebeugels en de montageplaats (bijvoorbeeld
plafond, ophanging of gebinte) mogen niet vervormd of aangepast worden; bv.
geen extra gaten in montagebeugels boren, de aansluitingen niet verplaatsen ...
•De voedingskabels mogen niet beschadigd zijn. Laat het toestel onderhouden door
een geschoolde technicus.
•Ontkoppel het toestel van het lichtnet voor u aan onderhoudswerkzaamheden
begint.
•Maak het toestel geregeld schoon met een vochtige, niet pluizende doek. Gebruik
geen alcohol of solventen.
•Open de ontvanger niet. De gebruiker mag geen onderdelen vervangen.
•Bestel eventuele reserveonderdelen bij uw dealer.
•Trek de stekker uit en verwijder de batterijen wanneer het toestel gedurende een
lange tijd niet wordt gebruikt.

•La garantie ne se s’applique pas aux dommages survenus en négligeant certaines
directives de ce mode d'emploi et votre revendeur déclinera toute responsabilité
pour les problèmes et les défauts qui en résultent.
•L'installation et l'entretien doivent être effectués par un technicien qualifié.
•Ne pas brancher immédiatement l’appareil après exposition à des variations de
température. Afin d’éviter des dommages, attendre jusqu’à ce que l’appareil ait
atteint la température ambiante.

3. Directives générales
•Se référer à la garantie de service et de qualité Velleman® en fin de ce mode
d'emploi.
•Cet appareil a été développé pour un usage professionnel dans des discothèques,
des théâtres, … Utiliser le MICW81 uniquement à l’intérieur avec l’adaptateur inclus
ou un adaptateur d'alimentation avec les mêmes spécifications, connecté à une
source de courant CA de max. 230 V~, 50 Hz.
•Protéger l’appareil des chocs et de l'abus. Traiter l'appareil avec circonspection
pendant l’opération.
•Choisir un endroit où l’appareil est protégé contre la poussière, l’humidité, et des
températures extrêmes.
•Se familiariser avec le fonctionnement de l'appareil avant de l'utiliser. La plupart des
dégâts sont causés par un usage non professionnel de l'appareil.
•Toute modification est interdite pour des raisons de sécurité.
•N’utiliser l'appareil qu’à sa fonction prévue. Un usage impropre annule d'office la
garantie.
•Transporter l’appareil dans son emballage d'origine.
•Utiliser ou transporter l'appareil dans la plage de température spécifiée (voir §12
Spécifications techniques).
•Garder ce mode d'emploi pour toute référence ultérieure.

5. Allumer le système
5.1 Récepteur
1. Éteindre le récepteur et régler le volume au niveau minimum.
2. Connecter l'adaptateur au récepteur et brancher sur une prise électrique.
3. Allumer le récepteur.
5.2 Microphone
Lorsque l'indicateur de pile faible s'allume, la tension des piles est faible. Remplacer les
piles.
1. Éteindre le microphone.
2. Ouvrir le compartiment à piles en soulevant le couvercle en plastique.
3. Insérer deux piles neuves AA de 1.5 V dans le compartiment. Respecter la polarité.
Ne pas utiliser de piles rechargeables car celles-ci pourraient influencer le
fonctionnement de l'appareil.
4. Fermer le compartiment à piles et allumer le microphone.
AVERTISSEMENT
•Des erreurs peuvent survenir en cas de remplacement des piles d’un appareil
allumé. Se débarrasser des piles en respectant la réglementation locale relative à la
protection de l’environnement.
•Garder les piles hors de la portée des enfants.
6. Emploi
1. Retirer les antennes et placer les perpendiculairement au récepteur.
2. Connecter le récepteur au système sonore :
oOUT MIX : Utiliser un câble audio approprié pour connecter à l'amplificateur
ou à la table de mélange.
oBALANCE OUT : Utiliser un câble audio approprié pour connecter à
l'amplificateur ou à la table de mélange.
3. Régler le volume au niveau minimum et allumer le récepteur.
4. Allumer le microphone.
5. Ajuster le volume à un niveau confortable.
6. Régler le volume au niveau minimum avant d'éteindre le récepteur.

•Serrer les vis et vérifier qu’elles ne rouillent pas.
•Ne pas déformer, modifier ou altérer le boîtier, les lentilles, les supports de montage
et l'emplacement d'installation (par exemple des plafonds, constructions portantes),
par exemple ne pas percer des trous additionnels dans un support, ne pas modifier
l'emplacement des connexions ...
•Les câbles d'alimentation ne peuvent pas être endommagés. L’entretien doit être
effectué par un technicien qualifié.
•Débrancher l’appareil avant chaque entretien.
•Nettoyer régulièrement l’appareil avec un chiffon humide non pelucheux. Éviter
l’usage d’alcool et de solvants.
•Ne pas ouvrir le récepteur. Il n’y a aucune pièce réparable par l’utilisateur.
•Commander des pièces de rechange éventuelles chez votre revendeur.

•Este aparato ha sido diseñado para uso profesional en una discoteca, un teatro, etc.
El MICW81 sólo está permitido para el uso en interiores con el adaptador de red
incl. o con otra fuente de alimentación del mismo tipo (230 V~, 50 Hz máx.).
•Proteja el aparato contra choques y golpes. Evite usar excesiva fuerza durante el
manejo.
•Seleccione un lugar de montaje donde el aparato no esté expuesto a polvo,
humedad y calor extremo.
•Familiarícese con el funcionamiento del aparato antes de utilizarlo. La mayoría de
los daños son causados por un uso inadecuado.
•Por razones de seguridad, las modificaciones no autorizadas del aparato están
prohibidas.
