Description:
This small, handy potter‘s wheel is well suited for hobby potters ad
beginners!
A small, handy pottery wheel for school, courses, hobby and begin-
ners.
Their low weight it is easy to transport. Maintenance-free and easy to
clean.

1. Technical Data:
The machine is intended for the manual production of rotationally
symmetrical articles from damp ceramic mixtures.

2. Assembly and Use:
Before assembling and using your new HSL JUNIOR VS potter’s wheel,
please read the instruction for use and the manufacturer’s recommen-
dations and advice. Retain the instructions for use.
When unpacking, check that all necessary pieces have been supplied.
● Box contents are:
– 1 potter‘s wheel with wheel head and splash pan
– 1 power plug
– 1 foot pedal
– 1 rubber stopper for the splash pan outlet
● Place the potter’s wheel on a smooth, level surface so that the
rubber suction pads can grip.
● Before connecting the power plug, check that main switch and
foot pedal are on position “0”
● It connects to the power supply with a 230 volt plug.
● Insert the foot pedal into its power socket.
● To alter the wheelhead speed press the foot pedal as required. The
foot pedal remains in position to continue the wheelhead speed
after your foot is removed.
● The splash pan should be pressed down before use as otherwise
you will hear grinding noises.

3. Maintenance and Cleaning:
The potter’s wheel is completely maintenance free.
● Disconnect the power plug before cleaning.
● Only clean with water or soapy water – do not use solvents such
as a nitro diluter. Marks on the stainless steel front plate can be
removed with an oily cloth.
● The plate can be taken off for cleaning by removing the central
screw. After that the splash pan can be removed.
● When fitting the plate, please make sure that no soiling, e.g. clay
residue, has collected on the ball bearing and the motor shaft.
If this is the case, remove the residue and grease the area with
Vaseline or acid-free grease. Pay attention to the correct position
of groove (hole of the wheelhead) and driving pins (motor shaft).
● After fitting the plate, only tighten the central screw on the plate
lightly!
● The potters wheel should only be reconnected and put into opera-
tion after reinstallation of the splash pan and the plate.
● The splash pan should be pressed down before use as otherwise
you will hear grinding noises.

4. Faults and Repairs
If a fault occurs, go through the following checklist.
● Is the power plug connected properly?
● Is the main switch in position I?
● Does the main switch glow?
● Check the built-in preprotection fuse 2A MT (You can find one
spare in the switch.)
If it is not possible to resolve the problem, please contact the
manufacturer.
If a return is required, the manufacturer must be notified in
advance. You are advised to use the original packaging.
This is necessary to ensure a rapid processing of complaints and to
ensure that the manufacturer will take over the shipping costs.
Please use the Repair advice note which you can download on our
website.
If it is determined that repair is necessary outside the warranty, we
will provide you with the cheapest possibilites.
Work on electrical machines and components are only to be
carried out by qualified electricians.

5. Safety and warnings
●Work on electrical machines and components are only to be
carried out by qualified electricians.
● Before starting to clean, remove the power plug.
● The potter’s wheel must not be used without the splash pan.
● The plate and motor will heat up when used permanently.
● Please make sure that:
– foot pedal does not get wet
– the water in the splash pan only reaches a level which it cannot
run under the wheel and enter the mechanism.
– the splash pan is pressed down before use as otherwise you will
hear grinding noises
● The potter‘s wheel should only be reconnected and put into opera-
tion after installation of the splash pan guard and the plate.
The purchased pottery wheel is exclusively for pottery and working
with clay! Do not misuse.
Misuse will lead to expiration of your warranty claim.
