Chapter 1 Product Introduction
1.1 Overview
Quidway S3000-EI Series Ethernet Switches are developed independently by Huawei
Technologies. These Layer-3 wire speed Ethernet switching products have
high-performance, high port density, and easy installation method. They can be
managed through network.
Quidway S3000-EI Series Ethernet Switches include the following models:
S3026G: Adopt AC power supply. Provide 24 fixed 10/100Mbps auto-negotiation
Ethernet ports (RJ-45) and two slots for GBIC modules.
S3026G-DC: Adopt DC power supply. Provide 24 fixed 10/100Mbps
auto-negotiation Ethernet ports (RJ-45) and two slots for GBIC modules.
S3026C: Adopt AC power supply. Provide 24 fixed 10/100Mbps auto-negotiation
Ethernet ports (RJ-45) and two slots for optional modules, including gigabit
Single Mode, gigabit Multi-mode, gigabit electrical port, gigabit long-haul, gigabit
medium-haul, 100M medium-haul, 100M Single Mode, 100M Multi-mode, and
stack modules.
S3026C-DC: Adopt DC power supply. Provide 24 fixed 10/100Mbps
auto-negotiation Ethernet ports (RJ-45) and two slots for optional modules,
including gigabit Single Mode, gigabit Multi-mode, gigabit electrical port, gigabit
long-haul, gigabit medium-haul, 100M medium-haul, 100M Single Mode, 100M
Multi-mode, and stack modules.
S3026T: Adopt AC power supply. Provide 24 fixed 10/100Mbps auto-negotiation
Ethernet ports (RJ-45) and two fixed gigabit electrical ports (RJ-45).
S3026T-DC: Adopt DC power supply. Provide 24 fixed 10/100Mbps
auto-negotiation Ethernet ports (RJ-45) and two fixed gigabit electrical ports
(RJ-45).
S3026E FM: Adopt AC power supply. Provide 12 fixed 100BASE-FX Multi-mode
ports (LC), two 6-port 100M extension slots and two uplink extension slots.
S3026E FM-DC: Adopt DC power supply. Provide 12 fixed 100BASE-FX
Multi-mode ports (LC), two 6-port 100M extension slots and two uplink extension
slots.
S3026E FS: Adopt AC power supply. Provide 12 fixed 100BASE-FX Single
Mode ports (LC) and two 6-port 100M extension slots and two uplink extension
slots.
S3026E FS-DC: Adopt DC power supply. Provide 12 fixed 100BASE-FX Single
Mode ports (LC) and two 6-port 100M extension slots and two uplink extension
slots.

Note:
S3026G and S3026G-DC Switches share similar structures, except for their power sockets. Unless
otherwise specified, S3026G is introduced as a representative.
For the same reason, S3026C is introduced as a representative of S3026C and S3026C-DC.
For the same reason, S3026T is introduced as a representative of S3026T and S3026T-DC.
For the same reason, S3026E FS is introduced as a representative of S3026E FS and S3026E FS-DC.

front panel of S3026G Switch as an example.

You can find the system state indicator, fixed Ethernet port indicator, 24 fixed
10Base-T/100Base-TX auto-negotiation Ethernet ports, 2 GBIC uplink ports, and
Console port located in order on the front panel of S3026G Ethernet Switch. See the

GBIC is a kind of hot-swappable data communication card.
S3026G Switch provides 2 GBIC interfaces. You can select gigabit modules, all of which are

The meanings of the indicators on the front panel of S3026T are described in the
following table.

1.5 S3026E FM&S3026E FS Ethernet Switches
1.5.1 Front Panel
Note:
The front panels of S3026E FM, S3026T/12FM-DC, S3026E FS, and S3026T/12FS-DC Switches are
exactly the same. This section introduces the front panel of S3026E FM Switch as an example.
I. Front panel layouts
You can find 12 fixed 100Base-FX Multi-mode Ethernet ports, 1 Console port, and
two 6-port 100M module slot on the front panel of S3026E FM Ethernet switch.
S3026E FS Switch provides 12 fixed 100Base-FX Single Mode Ethernet ports, which
is the only difference from S3026E FM Ethernet switch.
To make it simple, this section uses S3026E F to represent “S3026E FM&S3026E
FS”.
