Thank you for choosing the Hunter®UV Large Console Air Purifier! Since 1886,
Hunter®has innovated new and smarter ways to clean, circulate and condition the
air in your home. Hunter® air purifiers use:
EcoSilver®Pre-Filter with Coconut Carbon: The Pre-Filter uses silver nanotechnology
to prevent the growth of microorganisms on the filter, including bacteria and
viruses, and removes harmful VOCs (volatile organic compounds). Coconut
carbon in the pre-filter captures larger airborne particles and reduces household
odors from cooking, cleaning, smoking and pets.
True HEPA Filter: Rigorously tested, our True HEPA filter removes up to 99.97% of
airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns in size including smoke, dust, pollen, pet
hair and dander, mold spores and dust mites.
Photocatalyst Filter: Our photocatalyst filter eliminates toxic VOCs in the air caused
by household cleaners and products.
LED UV Light: The Hunter®air purifier is equipped with a LED UVC light. UVC
technology inhibits the growth of microorganisms that are exposed to the UVC
light.

The internal fan pulls air into the air purifier which then passes through the pre-filter,
where larger airborne particles such as pet hair & dander are trapped. The smaller
particles that pass through the pre-filter are then captured the by the True HEPA
filter, which removes up to 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns. Finally, the
photocatalyst filter works with the LED UV light to remove toxic VOCs (volatile
organic compounds) in the air caused by household cleaners and products.

• Do not expose eyes or other body parts directly to UV light as UV light can be
harmful to skin. UV light should not be used on plants or animals as it can cause
harm.

RESETTING FILTER TIME INDICATOR
Pre-Filter Indicator Light: Your Hunter®air purifier is programmed to remind you to
replace the pre-filter after 3 months, based on continuous use (approximately
2,160 hours). The indicator is only a guide. Depending on air quality and
environmental factors, pre-filter may need to be replaced more regularly. After
pre-filter is replaced, press and hold the pre-filter indicator button for 3
seconds. The unit will beep 3 times to indicate reset.
HEPA Filter Indicator Light: Your Hunter air purifier is programmed to
USING THE CONTROLS
Power: Press On/Off to turn air purifier on or off.
Fan Speed: Press Speed to choose from Low, Medium, High, or Turbo speed.
Timer: To use timer function, set to desired speed and press Timer button to select
2, 4, or 8 hours of operation. Air purifier will turn off after specified time.
Sleep Mode: When Sleep Mode is activated by pressing the Sleep Mode button, air
purifier will operate on low speed setting until mode is changed back to Manual.
UV Mode: UV Mode removes airborne bacteria. When UV Mode is activated by
pressing the UV Mode button, the air purifier accent light will turn on. The accent
light is NOT the UV light, only an indicator that UV Mode is on. UV light is enclosed
in the unit to avoid exposure or harm. Accent light cannot be turned off in UV
Mode.

CHECK AND CLEAN:
Note: This guide covers several air purifier models. Your model may have some or
all of the features listed.
CLEANING EXTERIOR:
Clean unit with a moistened soft cloth only. DO NOT pour or splash water on the
unit or use any abrasive-type cleaner on it. Clean all external surfaces, especially
the air intake grills and air outlet.
NOTE: Ensure the air purifier is completely dry before plugging into power
outlet and turn ON. Failure to do so could cause damage to the filters or
air purifier.

regularly. After filter is replaced, press and hold the HEPA filter indicator button for
3 seconds. The unit will beep 3 times to indicate reset.

We recommend periodically checking and replacing filters for optimal
performance.
• Under normal conditions of continuous use, the pre-filter should be replaced
every 3 months (approximately 2,160 hours) and the HEPA filter should be
replaced every 6 months (approximately 4,320 hours). This estimate is only a
guide. Depending on air quality and environmental factors, filters may need to be
replaced more regularly.
• IMPORTANT: Do not use water, any liquid or detergents to clean the filters.
Replace Pre-Filter
Remove any packaging and plastic bag from the new filter before replacement.
1. Switch off and disconnect the air purifier from the supply socket.
2. Open and remove the front grille. Place hands in slots on both sides of the air
purifier and gently pull.
3. Remove the filter from the compartment of the air purifier.
4. Remove the pre-filter from the HEPA filter by gently pulling away from Velcro.
5. Align the new pre-filter with the HEPA filter and firmly press to attach.
6. Put the filter back in the compartment of the air purifier.
7. Put the front panel back in place on the air purifier.
8. Place the front panel back on the air purifier. Align tabs at bottom of panel with
slots on air purifier and push until panel latches in place.
9. Dispose of dirty filter.
Replace HEPA Filter
Remove any packaging and plastic bag from the new filter before
replacement.
1. Switch off and disconnect the air purifier from the supply socket.
2. Open and remove the front grille. Place hands in slots on both sides of the air
purifier and gently pull.
3. Remove the filter from the compartment of the air purifier.
4. Remove the pre-filter from the HEPA filter by gently pulling away from 8
Velcro.
5. Align the pre-filter with the new HEPA filter and firmly press to attach.
6. Put the filter back in the compartment of the air purifier.
7. Put the front panel back in place on the air purifier. Align tabs at bottom of panel
with slots on air purifier and push until panel latches in place.
8. Dispose of dirty filter.

2. Open and remove the front grille. Place hands in slots on both sides of the air
purifier and gently pull.
3. Remove the filter from the compartment of the air purifier.
4. Remove the pre-filter from the HEPA filter by gently pulling away from Velcro.
5. Align the new pre-filter with the HEPA filter and firmly press to attach.
6. Put the filter back in the compartment of the air purifier.
7. Put the front panel back in place on the air purifier.
8. Place the front panel back on the air purifier. Align tabs at bottom of panel with
slots on air purifier and push until panel latches in place.
9. Dispose of dirty filter.
