1 Overview
1.1Introduction
TheGoIPseriesgatewayisabroadband relaygatewaynewlydevelopedbyHYBERTONE
Technology.Itisanewproductforseamless connectionbetweentheGSMnetworkandVoIP
network.WhenthemobilephoneSIMcardisinstalledintheGoIP,userscanregistertheGSM
phonetotheVoIPsoftswitchsystem.ThroughtheGoIP,userscanrealizetheuplinkand downlink
callsbetweentheGSMnetworkandtheVoIPnetwork.Inaddition,theGoIPsupportsthe
transparenttransmissionofthecallernumberfromthePSTNtotheVoIP.TheGoIPfeatures
embeddedSIPandH.323 protocolswithflexiblesetting.Thebi-directionalpassword
authentication(call authorization)and trustlistauthenticationgreatlyminimizetheriskofcharge
lossesand theflexibleroutingfunctioncanmeetspecialrequirementsofvariouscall forwarding.
Inparticular,theGoIPgatewaysupportsmulti devicegroups,withflexiblesettingoflargeGSM
gatewaygroupswithdifferentchannelnumbers.Withitslowprice,excellentvoice quality,and
powerfulfeatures,theGoIPseriesgatewayisthefirstchoiceforsystemintegrators,traffic
operators, andsoftswitchmanufacturers.

2 Installation
2.1InstallationProcedure
TheGoIPhas1/8 SIMcardslots, anLANport, and aPCport.
Theinstallationprocedureisasfollows:
1. OpenthebottomcoveroftheGoIPandinsertanSIMcardofthelocalGSMnetwork;
2. ConnecttheLANportwiththeupper-layernetworkequipmentwiththeEthernetcable;
3. PCportsupportsnetworksharing,soconnectthePCporttothecomputerorlower-layer
switch(HUBorrouter);
4. Connecttheoutputterminalofthetransformerwiththepowerport.

Toperformreset,theadminpasswordofGoIPuseris tengda”.Input resettengda”or RESET
tengda”intheSMStoreset.

Beforesettingthepage,youneedtohavetheIPaddress ofthePCportofthegatewayfirst.
ConnectthecomputerforsettingthegatewaytothePCportoftheGoIP.TheGoIPgatewayhasa
built-inpageserverthatisusedtoacceptorobtaintheHTTP.You cansettherelatedfunctionsfor
theGoIPthroughtheInternetExplorer.

You canaccess thesetting pageoftheGoIPgatewaythroughtheIPaddress oftheLANportorPC
port.Thedefault factorysettingsareasfollows:
A: TheLANportsupportstheDHCP(dynamicIPaddress). UserscandialtheSIMcardnumberof
thegatewayandifconnecteddial*00 toobtaintheIPaddress.

B: Thedefault IPaddress and maskofthePCportare192.168.8.1 and 255.255.255.0 respectively.
EnabletheDHCPserviceofthePCport.
ConnectthecomputerwiththePCportofthegatewaythroughtheIPaddress ofthePCport,and
settheIPofthecomputertodynamicIPorfixedIPas192.168.8.xxx and thedefaultgatewayas
192.168.8.1.
OpentheInternetExplorerandenter192.168.8.1 or http://192.168.8.1 intheaddress bar,then,the
loginpageispoppedupforpasswordinput.Entertheloginaccount( admin”asdefault)inthe
UserName, andpassword( admin”asdefault)inthePasswordfield.
Click OK”button andthegatewaystatuspageisdisplayedasdefault.

192.168.2.172 oftheLANportofthegateway.TheloginmethodisthesameasthatofthePCport,

thebottomplateofthegatewayandisread-only.
B. SoftwareVersion
ItdisplaysthecurrentversionofsoftwareusedbytheGoIP.Whenyouwanttoupgradethe
software,makesuretheupdateversionisnewerthanthecurrentversion.

D. LineRegister Status

3.3.1Language
Toselectalanguage,refreshthepagetoenterthelanguagepagerequired.Forexample,thecurrent
languageissimplifiedChinese.IfyouwishtodisplaythepageinEnglish,click English”inthe
menu.Afteryourterminalisrestarted, all thepageswill bedisplayedinEnglish.
You canalsouseotherlanguagesforsetting, asshowninthefollowingfigure.

Click English”ontheupperrightcornerofthesettingpage.Then,thesetting pagewill display all
infoinEnglish.Buttheshortcutwill notchangethelanguageofthesettingpagewhenloggedin
nexttime.
3.3.2TimeZoneandTimeServer
Thisitemdisplaystheadjustedtimeaccordingtotheselectedtimezone.Thegatewayreceivetime
and dateinformationfromtheserverthroughtheNetworkTimeProtocoland thetimedifference
will beautomaticallyadjusted.Forexample,thepacificstandardtime(PST)isGMT-8andthe
pacificdaylighttime(PDT)isGMT-7.
Thetimezoneindicatesthezonewherethegatewayisused.Youneedtoenterthecorrecttime
zone,sothatthetimeofthecallerIDandcharginginformationcanbedisplayedcorrectly.The
timeserveristheaddress oftheserverthatobtainsthenetworktimethrough theInternet.The
default timeserveristimekeeper.isi.edu.
3.3.3DTMFMinimum DetectionInterval
ThisparameterisusedtosettheminimumintervaloftwoDTMFsignals.Packetsmaybelost
duringthedatatransmissionovertheGSM.Asaresult,aDTMFmaybeincorrectlyidentifiedas
twoormultipleidenticalDTMFswhendetectedbytheGoIP.Theproblemofrepeatedcodecanbe
solvedeffectivelythroughthemodificationoftheparameter.
Thisparametervaluerangesfrom60msto120msandthedefault valueis80ms. Whenthevalueof
thisparameterisincreasedproperly,therepeatedDTMFcanbeavoidedefficiently.However,the
packetloss mayalsobecaused.
3.3.4AutomaticSetting
If theservice providerprovidestheautomaticsetting, youcanselect Enable”tostartthe
automaticsettingfeatureandentertheaddress oftheserver.Iftheservice providerdoesnot

providetheautomaticsetting,you needtoselect Disable”tospeedupthestartuptimeoftheGoIP.
Itisaspecialserver, whichneedsthesupportofthespecificsystem.
3.3.5SettingoftheRemoteControl
Press *20# ontheterminaltoinitiatetherequesttorealizetheremotemanagementofequipment.
Theremotecontrolserverisprovidedbytheserviceprovider.Thedefault portis1920 and the
terminalisidentifiedbytheSN.Theremotecontrolpasswordisidenticalwiththatoftheserver
and issetasdefault.
Inthefollowingfigure,theremotecontrolserverissetas118.142.51.162. Theterminaluser
presses*20# and along toneisheard,whichindicatesthattheinstructionhasbeensuccessfully
sent.Theremoteadministratoraccess http://118.142.51.162:8086 and themodelandSNofthe
gatewayaredisplayed. ClickthegatewaySNtosettheremotegateway.
Note:Itisaspecialserver,whichneedsthesupportofthespecificsystem. Fordetails,pleasecontactthetechnical
support ofHYBERTONETechnology.
3.3.6GSMGroup Mode
UserscanestablishaGSMgroupcontainingmultipleGoIPgateways.Underthismode,the
administratoronlyneedstoprovideaGSMnumbertotheusertocall intheVoIPsystem.

EachGoIPcanoperateinany ofthefollowingmodes:
Prohibit: ThismodeisusedwhentheGoIPoperatesindependently.
Serveastheserver: WhenGoIPoperatesinthismode,theadministratoronlyneedstoprovidethe
userwithaGSMnumberoftheGoIPasauniqueaccess numbertotheGoIP
group.InoneGoIPgroup,onlyoneGoIPgatewaycanbeusedastheserver.
WhentheGoIPservesastheserver,theGSMunconditionalcall forwardingor
busycall forwarding canbeactivated.Theunconditionalcall forwardingisused
toforwardall incomingcallstootherclientsofthegroup.Thebusycall
forwardingisusedtoforwardincomingcallstootherclientsofthegroupwhen
thestatusoftheSIMcardoftheserverisACTIVE.
