1ProductIntroduction
1.1GeneralInformation
APSTNFXO(foreignexchange-office)gatewayisaPSTN-to-digitaladaptorthatallows
youtouseyourPSTNline tomakeVoIPcalls.FOXgatewayisdesigned torealizevoice
communication overabroadband IPnetwork.It offershighvoicequalitywithminimal
bandwidthrequirement. Nomatteritcouldaccess tothe publicIPaddress ornot, the
devicehastheadvantageofeasyinstallationinsimpleorcomplexnetworkMultipleIP
phonescanalsobeinstalledinthesamenetworkwithonlyonepublicIPaddress.It
comeswithenriched featuresforbothnetworkand phonecall applications,suchas
broadband router, DHCP, LANPhone System.
TheHT-322 FOXGateway isanall-in-one VoIPintegrated device,whichisdesigned tobe
atotalsolution fornetworksprovidingVoIPservices.Itsfunctionsareavailableviaa
standardPSTNline. TheHT-322 FXO gatewayhastwoPSTNlinesport.

2Installation
2.1Installation Steps
The HT-322 IPADAPTORhastwoPSTNports FXO1and FXO2），oneNETWORKport
and one PCport. TheVoIPchannelscanloginbysameSIP(orH.323)accountortwo
different SIP(orH.323)accounts.
Pleasefollowthe stepsbelowtoinstall an HT-322IPADAPTOR:
a) Connect the PSTNlinestotheFXO1and FXO2.
b) Insertthe Ethernetcableintothe LANportofHT-322IPADAPTORandconnectthe
otherpeertothe internetaccess equipment.
c) Connect aPCtothe PCport ofHT-322 IPADAPTOR.
d) Insert thepoweradapterintothe HT-322IPADAPTORand powerup.

Beforeconfiguringthe HT-322 IPADAPTOR,firstyoumustconfigureyou computer sIPin
StaticMode andit must use192.168.8.x. Thedefault networksettingofHT-322 is:
LANPort: DHCP
PCPort: 192.168.8.1

Setupthecomputer’snetworksettingasthepictureabove.Afterthis,youcanlogin
theHT-322 viatheHT-322’sPCportIP.
Note:RegardingtheHT-322sdefaultsetting,pleaseconsultthe chapter 5.Manufactory
Setting.
3.1Access theWebConfiguration Menu
Afterconfigured yourcomputer,you can logintothe HT-322sconfiguration pagebyWeb
browser. Just input the IP:192.168.8.1tothe Address line.

Alogindialogwindowwill popup:
Thedefaultusernameis “admin”and thedefaultpasswordis “admin”.Press OKthen
accessingthe configuration pageasbelow.

3.2Status
Statuspageshowsthe statusofthe gateway.
3.2.1PhoneInformation
A. Serial Number
Eachgatewayhasaunique serialnumberassigned bythe factorysuchas
HT304O12VTEST01.Thisnumberisimportantforcentralized configuration,technical
support, and warranty.Thisnumberisprinted onthe bottomofthe gatewayandis
associated withyoursoftwarelicense.
B. FirmwareVersion
Firmwareversion referstothe firmwareversion ofthe gatewaysuchas
A34HS-3.07-18, whichisused toidentifythefirmwareversion.
C. HardwareMode
Thisfieldshowsterminal shardwaretype.
D. PhoneStatus
Thisfieldshowsthe statusofLine sconnection status. Ifthe connectionissuccessful,
thisfielddisplaysLOGIN. OtherwisedisplaysLOGOUT.

3.3ConfigurationsOptions
Click on the “Configurations”,the web pagewillpop-up asubordinateoptions.Clickon
“Preference”inthe left menu ofthe configuration web, and the screen will bedisplayed as

3.3.1Language
SelectwebprovisioninglanguageasEnglishorChinese.Forexample,ifyou represent
languageused isEnglish;pleaseclick “English”inthe “Language”menu,when the
terminalwasreboot the webpagewill displayall information inEnglish.
Youcan choicethe languageusethequick link,the Webpageslanguagewillchangeat
soon.
3.3.2TimeZoneandTimeServer
The HT-322usingNetworkTimeProtocol(NTP)togetthe datetimeinformation froman
NTPserver(TimeServer).ThetimeisinGMT ±offset. Forexample,PacificStandard
TimeisGMT-8, and PacificDaylightTimeisGMT-7.
ForaFXOgatewaythe realtimewill appearon the CDR (call detail record),soitis
important ifuserneedsrigorsCDR.

3.3.3Auto-provision
AllowcentralprovisioningofHT-322.Auto-provision isthe automaticconfiguration of
deviceswithoutmanualintervention and withoutanyneedforsoftwareconfiguration
programsorjumpers.Ideally,auto-provision devicesshouldbe"Plugand Play".
Auto-provision hasbeen made common becauseofthe lowcostof microprocessorsand
otherembedded controllerdevices. It includesAuto-provision Serverand Auto-update.
Thisisthe specialserviceonly. It must support byHyberTonesAuto-provision Server.
3.3.4Pound(#)KeyandAuto-dial Timeout
If youwanttheterminalsendoutyour telephone numbershortly,pleaseclickthePound(#)Key
enable.If itwasdisable,theterminalwill call outafter5seconds(ortheAuto-dialtimeout)after
the lastdigit isinput
Note:Thisfunction onlyinurewhenthecall fromPSTNtoVoIP ssecondlydial
number.
3.3.5NetworkTone
NetworkTonesisthedialtoneoftheseconddial.Userscanchoicethetonelikethelocal
telephonenetwork.

B. Gateway Prefix
IfloginwithaPrefixmethod fill the prefixnumber(do not fill the Phone number)..
C. Display Name
Displaynamewilldisplayon the otherVoIPpartyfillinthe displaynameofthe
gateway.
D. H.323 ID
Ifthe systemneedsH.323IDforthe Authenticatefill inthe Authentication message.
E. GatekeeperAddress

FDTMFSignaling
1DTMFTYPE
DTMFTYPEisusedfortelephonesignalingoverthelineinthevoicefrequencyband
tothe call switching center.DTMFmeansthattwogroupsoftone withdifferent
frequenciesareunitedinto16 kindsofdialtone.Thetelecommunication station,
switchorthe phoneservicesuchas1860identifythesespecialtonesthroughDSP
analysistoconfirmthe keysdialed byuser. TherearetwoDTMFtypes: Inband DTMF
typeandOutbandDTMFtype.
Inband DTMFtypetransfersthesespecialdialtonestogetherwiththe speechtone
withoutdoinganyspecialprocessingtothem.SothereisnotanytypeastoInband
DTMF.
Outband DTMFtypetransfersthesespecialdialtonesbysomespecialmethod to
confirmitscorrectness.Thespecialmethod isthe socalledprotocolsuchas
RFC2833 andSIPinformation.
2DTMFPayloadType
DTMFPayloadTypeisusedtocarrytelephonytonesand telephonysignals. Byusing
adistinctdynamicRTPpayload typeinthe sameRTPstreamasthe media,itis
possibletocarryDTMFtones,fax-related tones,standardsubscriberline tones,
country-specifictonesand trunkevents.

When systemsupportbackupserverfill inthe messagesof the backupserver.When
the first serverisfailed HT-322 willtrythe backupserver.
IOutbound Proxy
When Outbound proxyisneededfill inthe IPaddressordomainname..

Inthe “Configbyline”mode usercan setupeachofthe twolineswithdifferencenumbers.
