The Trax Bluetooth speaker allows you to listen to the music stored on your iPod™, iPhone™, or other
Bluetooth enabled device without the need to connect via wires or a dock. It can also be used as a
loudspeaker for your mobile phone calls.The NFC function allows you to make a One Touch connection
to NFC enabled devices.

NFC Pairing
NFC pairing allows NFC enabled devices to be connected wirelessly to the Trax with one touch.
Ensure your device features NFC.
Ensure NFC is activated on your device. Check phone setting.
Touch the device against the NFC logo (8 in Fig. 1) on the Trax speaker (in the case of smart phones
the NFC location is normally in the centre of the back of the phone)
Your device should now be paired.
Bluetooth Pairing
1. Press the Power button (1 in Fig. 1) on the top of the speaker, the Power LED will flash
blue repeatedly.
2. Turn on the speaker, the power button LED blinks quickly indicating it is searching.
3. Activate the Bluetooth function on your mobile/tablet and search for Bluetooth devices, after
searching, select “i-box Trax” in the Bluetooth device list.
4. After successful pairing, select “i-box Trax” in the Bluetooth device list, and press “connect”.
5. LED turns to solid blue indicating the speaker is paired with your device via Bluetooth.
Note:
A: If pairing is not successful, press the Bluetooth symbol (2) on the top of speaker, and try pairing again.
B: After pairing is successful, paired devices will remember each other. Unless pairing information is
deleted because of a new pairing, you will not need to re-pair next time you use the same device.
If you want to pair the speaker with other devices, turn off the Bluetooth function of the existing
source device, and if the blue LED does not flash blue continuously pair the speaker with the new
device according to the steps above.
Pairing with iPhone™, iPad™
1. Keep the speaker within a 1m range of the device you wish to pair with
2. Turn on the speaker, the power button LED blinks quickly, the unit is standing by for pairing.
3. In iPhone™ (iPad™) General > Bluetooth, tap on the Bluetooth function, search the Bluetooth
devices and “i-box Trax” will be identified quickly.
4. Select “i-box Trax” to complete pairing.
5. LED turns to solid blue indicating the speaker is paired with iPhone™ (iPad™) via Bluetooth.
Pairing with Bluetooth enabled PC or notebook
1. Keep the speaker within a 1m range of the device you wish to pair with.
2. Turn on the speaker, the power button LED blinks quickly, the unit is standing by for pairing.
3. Activate Bluetooth connectivity on your PC and begin SEARCH NEW DEVICE function.
4. After a short scanning period, the PC will indicate that your “i-box Trax” speaker has been discovered
and is ready for connecting/pairing.
5. Click to pair “i-box Trax” and PC.
6. LED turns to solid blue indicating the speaker is paired with devices via Bluetooth.
Charging
(3.7V 1200mAh rechargeable battery built-in)
1. Turn off the speaker before charging
2. Plug the micro USB end of the USB charging cable (supplied) into the micro USB port (11 in Fig. 2)
marked with the USB symbol on the end of the speaker.

Plug the other end into a USB power port such as a plug in mains charger (not supplied), laptop or PC
4. The LED charging indicator (10 in Fig. 2) next to the the micro USB port on the end of the speaker
will illuminate red while charging and turn off when fully charged.

Pairing with Mac OS X 10 or above
1. Keep the speaker within a 1m range of the device you wish to pair with
2. Turn on the speaker, the power button LED blinks quickly, the unit is standing by for pairing.
3. Pair it with a Mac – choose setup Bluetooth Device from the Bluetooth status menu in the menu
bar, and follow the on screen instructions to pair with the speaker. If the Bluetooth status menu
is not available, open Bluetooth Preference and select the “Show Bluetooth status in the menu bar”
check box.
4. Open System Preferences and click Sound
5. Click Output and select the Bluetooth speaker
6. Click Input and select your speaker. Adjust the Input and Output volume.
7. LED turns to solid blue indicating “i-box Trax” is paired with devices via Bluetooth.
Note:
Some applications, including iChat AV, allow you to select the audio device from within the application
(independently of the default audio input and output selected on the Sound pane of System
Preferences). To use a Bluetooth speaker with iChat AV, select the Bluetooth speaker for audio input
and output on the Video pane of iChat preferences.
Re-connecting to a paired device
Each time the speaker is turned on, it will attempt to connect to the last device it was paired with
automatically (the source device must be turned on). The speaker will do one of the following:
1. Connect to the last connected device automatically, then just start music playback.
2. The speaker will be listed in the screen of devices as an output channel, then select “i-box Trax” as
the output channel and play music.
Note:
In some cases, the speaker may need to be manually selected from your operating system sound or
hardware output list.
Pairing with another device without switching-off the speaker
When the speaker is paired with one device already, touch the “Bluetooth” symbol on the top of the
speaker to break an existing pairing, then pair with another device.
HFP device exception
When the speaker is in standby mode, it will not be able to connect to any HFP device. To “wake” the
speaker and re-connect to the previously used HFP device, press the POWER/MODE twice to
re-connect automatically.
1. When there is an incoming call, touch the “Phone” symbol (4 in Fig. 1) once to answer via speaker
and the built in microphone (the music will immediately stop playing).
2. Touch it again to end a call (the music will re-start automatically).
3. When there is no call incoming, the “Phone” symbol (4) will work as “Play/Pause” to control music.

1. Switch off the speaker, connect the 3.5mm cable supplied to the AUX IN socket (9) and to the
headphone socket on your audio source device. Press the Power button on top of speaker, the power
LED will turn to green indicating it is searching.
2. Initially set the volume of both your audio device and the volume of the Trax speaker to low.
3. Play music on your device and slowly adjust the volume to the desired level.You can adjust the
volume either by pressing the volume buttons on the speaker or your audio device. For the best
audio results, try turning your audio device up to 70-80% then adjust the speaker volume controls
until the volume is at the desired level.
1. The sound is low or completely silent.
1.1 Make sure both your audio device and the speaker are charged.
1.2 Make sure the connection (either Bluetooth or AUX) is fully functioning and secure.
If you are using the AUX port check the cable is inserted properly to both the speaker and your
audio device.
1.3 Check that the volume on both the speaker and your audio device is turned up.
1.4 Check that your audio device is playing an audible music track.
2. The pairing instructions in this manual do not work for my device.
2.1 Please consult the user guide for your audio device to find the correct pairing instructions.
3. The speaker cannot find my device.
3.1 Ensure the Bluetooth is switched on and not hidden on your audio device.
3.2 Make sure that the speaker is not paired to another device (is the blue LED flashing).
If it is paired (the blue LED is on continuously) touch the Bluetooth symbol on the top of
the speaker.
4. The person on the other end of my call cannot hear me or I cannot hear him / her.
4.1 Make sure your device is paired correctly to the speaker.
4.2 Make sure the volume is turned up on both the speaker and phone.
4.3 Make sure there is no obstruction to the microphone.
WARNING:
This speaker has a built in lithium polymer battery, it must be used and charged properly.
Improper use can cause the battery to catch fire or explode resulting in serious or fatal injury.
CAUTION:
Do not disassemble or modify the speaker.
Do not place the speaker in direct sunlight, or near fires, stoves, or other high temperature locations.
Do not expose the speaker to water or salt water, or allow the speaker to get wet.
If you dispose of the speaker remember it contains a battery and recycle accordingly.
