EN The i-box Época is a combined stereo portable radio and Bluetooth speaker. It receives the full range of DAB and
FM frequencies and you can instantly recall up to 60 of your favourite DABand FM stations using the presets available.
Alternatively you can stream music from your smartphone or tablet using Bluetooth or connect any audio device to the
AUX In port for playback. The radio is fully portable with a 4400mAh rechargeable battery capable of up to 15 hours of
radio play time from a single charge.

Do not place naked flame sources, such as lighted candles on or near the radio.
Keep away from dripping or splashed liquids.
The unit should not be exposed to direct sunlight, very high or low temperatures,
moisture, strong magnetic fields high frequencies and dusty environments.
Always leave sufficient space around the unit for ventilation.
Do not use abrasives, benzene, thinner or other solvents to clean the unit. To clean,
wipe with a clean soft cloth.
Never attempt to insert wires, pins or other such objects into the vents or opening
of the unit.

not dispose of it with household waste at the end of its life cycle; hand it over to a
collection centre for the recycling of electrical and electronic appliances with

Charging
Your Época Radio has 2 x 2000mAh built-in, non user-replaceable, Lithium
batteries. For best results, the first time you use the Época, let it charge
for 4-5 hours until fully charged.
During charging a battery/charging icon will
be displayed in the top righthand corner of the
screen which will change to a solid battery icon
when the battery is fully charged.
1. Connect your Época to a powered USB port
on a USB charger or computer.
2. For mobile use disconnect the USB cable
when the battery is fully charged.
To change the operating language
The default operating language is English, to change enter the System menu scroll to <Language> select and
choose from <English><Deutsch><Italiano><Français>

The LCD displays the long name of the station playing and program information. Use the previous/next keys

Options are <Sleep><Time><Backlight><Language><Factory reset><SW version>

keys to scroll through options. Press 14 to select an option or enter a sub menu.
1.8.1 Sleep Function: Allows you to set a period of time after which your Época will switch off or enter
standby automatically. Options <Sleep off><15 minutes><30 minutes><45 minutes><60 minutes><90 minutes>
The Sleep period remaining is displayed top right. To cancel Sleep re-enter the menu and set to Sleep off.
1.7 Prune: Setting Prune to <Yes> clears stations with no signal reception from the DAB “Station list” when
you next perform a Full scan. Select Prune in the Menu and press next 10 to select Yes/No press 14 to
confirm, then press the MENU key 4to exit.
1.6 DRC: Dynamic Range Control can make quieter sounds easier to hear when your radio is used in a noisy
environment. This function is only available for some DAB stations. Choose high/low/off current selected option
will be marked with an asterisk *.

1. Use the MODE key 6 to select Bluetooth you will hear an audio tone will indicate the Época is ready to connect
make sure your device is in Bluetooth mode. The Época will search for the last connected device.
2. If the last connected device is not available. The Época will search for other devices and will appear in your
device’s Bluetooth menu as “i-box Epoca”.
3. Select the Época and a “Connected” message will appear in the display and you will hear a second audio tone
when connection is successful.

2.6 FM Audio setting: In the FM menu press next 10 then press 14 to enter Audio then use next

Note: If you have a weak signal “Forced mono” may give a clearer, better balanced sound.

don’t miss out on the latest additions.

Laden
Das Época-Radio ist mit 2 integrierten, nicht vom Benutzer austauschbaren
Lithium-Akkus mit 2000 mAh ausgestattet. Zum Erzielen der besten Ergebnisse
sollten Sie das Época bei der erstmaligen Verwendung bis zur vollständigen
Ladung des Akkus 4-5 Stunden lang laden.
Während des Ladevorgangs wird in der oberen
rechten Ecke des Bildschirms ein Akku-/
Ladesymbol angezeigt, das als ein volles

die Programminformationen angezeigt. Verwenden Sie die Zurück-/Weiter-Tasten / 3/ 1

1.7 Prune: Durch Einstellen der ‚Prune‘-Funktion auf (Ja) werden Sender ohne Empfang bei der nächsten
vollständigen automatischen Sendersuche aus der DAB- „Senderliste“ gelöscht. In dem Menü die Funktion
Prune auswählen und dann mit den die Taste Weiter 10 Ja/Nein auswählen. Die EINGABE-Taste 14
drücken, dann die Menütaste 4drücken zum Beenden.
1.6 DRC: Mit Dynamic Range Control sind leisere Geräusche leichter zu hören, wenn Ihr Radio in einer lauten
Umgebung verwendet wird. Diese Funktion ist nur für einige DAB-Sender verfügbar. Wählen Sie high/low/OFF
(hoch/niedrig/AUS); für die gewählte Option wird * angezeigt.
