1. Grasp the handle at the bottom of each end cap and pull the
bottom of the end cap free, then remove the end cap.
2. Get help to lift and insert the enclosure.
3. Secure each front side of the enclosure with a black screw.

Detach the two springs taped to one of
the rails and attach a spring to each rail.
1. Close the rear bracket on each rail and
use one black screw to secure each rail.
2. Close each front bracket but do not
insert a screw at this time.
1. Attach the top of each end cap to the tab
on the chassis flange.
2. Then rotate each end cap down until the
bottom snaps into place.

Quick Installation Guide
With a firm grip, force open each bracket, then
slide the rail until the bracket pins engage the rack.
The front of each rail is labeled, “Left Front” or “Right Front.”
Rail handles go toward the rear.

Connect cables and power on
Remove the node canisters, turn them over,
and place them on a nonconductive surface.
Press the blue circles to unlock each
cover, then slide it toward the rear
to lift off.
1. Connect Ethernet ( ) port 1 cables to the same subnet, such as ports in the same switch, for example.
2. Connect data cables to any optional host interface cards.
3. To power on, connect a power cable to each power supply. There is no switch.

1. Remove fillers required to install all drives.
2. Install all drives.
3. Retain fillers for future use.

1. Loosen the thumbscrew (1).
2. From inside the node canister, move the
filler plate handle (2) slightly to the left
and toward the rear of the node canister.
3. Remove any SFP transceivers from the
host interface card, then put the card (3)
inside the node canister.

reinstall it in the control enclosure.

Reinstall each cover by
sliding it forward until the
locks engage.

1. Push the host interface card
against the port opening from
inside the node canister.
2. Engage the tab on the card flange
through the catch slot to the inside,
right of the port opening.
3. Push the host interface card firmly
but gently into the card connector
slot on the node canister.
4. Reinsert any SFP transceivers.
