codes, error messages, service information, and asymptom-to-FRU index for the
IBM®xSeries®226 Type 8488 and 8648 server.
Important: The field replaceable unit (FRU) procedures in this document are
intended for trained servicers who are familiar with IBM products.
Customer replacement units (CRUs) can be replaced by the customer.
See Chapter 7, “Parts listing Type 8488 and 8648,” on page 129, to
determine if the component being replaced is aFRU or aCRU. Before
servicing an IBM product, be sure to read Appendix B, “Safety
information,” on page 143.
