1. Security
Thank your for choosing the COVISIERE as a protection against aer-
solised projections!
May we ask you to read this user manual carefully before any use of the
product. Please preserve it for any future need or consultancy. Use the
COVISIERE only for the purpose described in this user manual. In any
other case, the given protection and garantee would be broken.
Please read these security instruction carefully before using the visor.
1.1 Environment conditions:
Altitude of use: < 2000 meters
Relative humidity: < 90% (without condensation)
Temperature and relative humidity when using the COVISIERE:
Tp°: -5°C to 35°C (23 to 95 °F)
Hd: 10% to 90%
Temperature and relative humidity when the COVISIERE is in stock:
Tp°: - 5 °C to 25°C (-4° to 104°F)
Hd: 10% to 60%
1.2 Symbole of certification:
Conforming to regulation (EU) 2016/425 for Personal
Protection Equipment by EU type examination
carried out by Notified body N°0402.

2. General description and what it protects from
This protective visor (COVISIERE) is intended to be used against the
aerosolised projections and for every people being at risk of these later.
This COVISIERE is protecting part of the top head and the full face. It
is aiming at shielding any wearer from outside liquid projections and
protecting another person from the wearer projections.
3. Characteristics
Protecting the face and the top from liquid projections:
This visor protects sideway from ears to ears and vertically, from
the top of the head to under the chin.
Its smooth surface was designed with the least interstice possible
in order to clean it with disinfectant (alcohol, isopropyl alcohol).
The front visor is made of PET plexiglass and ca be replaceable in
case of scratches or if it is broken.
The vision of the user is as large as possible sideways and top and
down. The transparent top lets the natural light through to be as
close to natural as possible
Disinfection of the material possible at 65°C maximum
(Check section 7).
All parts are recyclable materials (ABS, PET, Polycarbonate,
Galvenized metal...)

To put the COVISIERE on please follow these instructions:
1. Take the two
sides of the
elastic
2. Put the front
harness against
your front head
3. Pull the elastic
and place it at
the back of your
head.
You should be able to turn your head sideways and up and down with-
out being refrain by the plexiglass. If it is not the case, adjust the posi-
tion of the visor on your head.
To adjust the elastic, pull it on the sides before plac-
ing it on the head.
When you wear the COVISIERE, it is not recommended to touch the
plexiglass or the top at any time.

To remove the COVISIERE, please follow carefully these steps:
IF you are not wearing protective gloves:
1. Wash your hand
thoroughly over 40
secs and with soap
or hand disinfectant.
2. Pull one hand at
the back of your head
to grab the elastic,
whithout touching
any other part of the
COVISIERE.
3. Remove it by pull-
ing the elastic over
your head. Then put
the COVISIERE on a
clean table.
You can now start washing the COVISIERE
(See section 7. Cleaning & disinfection).
IF you are wearing protective gloves:
1. Remove your gloves and throw them securely.
2. Pull one hand at the back of your head to grab the elastic, whithout
touching any other part of the COVISIERE.
3. Remove it by pulling the elastic over your head. Then put the
COVISIERE on a clean table.
4. Put on some new gloves and grab the COVISIERE from inside.
5. Start washing the COVISIERE
(See section 7. Cleaning & disinfection).

7. Cleaning & disinfection
To clean the COVISIERE, it is highly recommanded
to first thoroughly wash your hand with soap over
40 secs or put on some protective gloves. After
that, follow these instructions:
1. Prepare a cloth
with some Isopropyl
Alcholol.
2. Handle the visor
from the inside,
3. Wash the front,
the band and the
top.
4. Prepare another
cloth with isopropyl
alcohol on it.
5. Wash the inside of
the visor.
6. Leave the visor to
dry out for about
20 mins.

Ideally, the wasted cloths should be burned carefully. Otherwise, they
should be disposed of in a sealed bint.
It is possible to disinfect the upper part of the COVISIERE in a low
temperature disinfection machine or in a dishwasher. To disinfect the
plexiglass you will need to use a bath of dettol. Alternatively, it is recom-
mended to replace it with a new one.
For disinfection, make sure that the temperature never exceeds 65°C.
Do not put the plexiglass in the dishwasher or the disinfection ma-
chine! This one will melt.
To disinfect the upper part, follow the previsous steps for cleaning the
COVISIERE and then:
1. Remove the band of fixation
and put it in the machine.
2. Remove the plexiglass
(It is ready for a bath of dettol or for
recycling)
3. Take the rest of the visor (The Harness
with its Elastic and the Top all attached),
put it securely in the disinfection
machin or the dishwasher and start the
program (
Maximum 65° C
).

4. After the washing is finished, let the temperature lower down to the
ambiant temperature before moving the upper part.
5. Remove the COVISIERE and stock it
8. How to stock the COVISIERE
Stocking the COVISIERE for a medium to long term (more than a week),
need to be done with care:
Store the COVISIERE in a cool and dry place. This means to resepect
these temperature and humidity range of storage:
Tp°: - 5 °C to maximum 25°C (-4° to 104°F)
Hd: 10% to 60%
Always stock the COVISIERE away from direct sunlight.
It is best to cover them with a clean cloth to avoid accumulation of dust
over time.
If there is several visors to be stored, there has to be a special care not to
bend the harness or apply excessive force on the fixations. Failing to do
so may create some damages over time and in the worst case, render
the visor ineffective.
It is highly recommended to pile a maximum of 5 COVISIERE one on
each other. Not more.

Beware that the COVISIERE cannot be stored for more than 2 years.
9. Restriction of use
The COVISIERE is a liquid and spatters anti-projection individual face
shield.
This visor is not an anti virus or anti pathogenic protection in itself. This
visor is not either a protection against projectiles from gardenning or
workshop.
The COVISIERE is not intended for use in aggressive, hot, chemical,
corrosive environments. The face shield does not protect against the
following liquids and therefor the shield is not suited for:
Hot or cold liquids (>30°C and <0°C), corrosive liquids outside the pH
range of 6.2 and 7.6 (human saliva being within that range).
In case of doubt, the user should contact the manufacturer beforehand
(see section 11).
The user wearing the COVISIERE for another intended use than recom-
mended here is doing so by its own responsibility.

10. Testings of the product
The product has been tested according to MET5659:
• Build and materials – Visual inspection
• Head-band – By measurement
• Quality of the optical surface – EN164 – Paragraph 5
• Optical quality – EN168 – Paragraph 6
• Light diffusion – EN168 – Paragraph 7
• Strength: requirements for minimal strength – EN168 –
Paragraph 3.2 -> Only at 23°C+-3°C and limitation of required
samples.
• Temperature stability – EN168 – Paragraph 5
• Drops and liquid spatters – EN168 – Paragraph 12
• Marking of the product (After CE-approval, before entering the
market as mentioned in Article 17) – By visual inspection
• Cleanliness: according to EPI 2016/425 – Annex 2,
Paragraph 1.4 -> Passing of manufacturer’s instructions.
