Setting Up the VoiceFriend
Companion

Connect the electrical adapter
(black cord) from the outlet
labeled ‘POWER’ on the back
of the Companion to a power
outlet.

If you currently have a phone
attached to a telephone jack,
unplug cord attached to the telephone
jack and plug it into the outlet on the back
of the Companion labeled ‘PHONE’
If there is no phone already
attached to a wall phone jack,
please skip this step

Connect a phone to
the telephone jack in the wall,
and plug it into the outlet on the
back of the Companion labeled
‘LINE’

Press the button on the top
of the Companion labeled
‘MENU/ACTIVTY’ to hear the
scheduled messages

Slide the volume control located on the
back of the Companion to the desired
volume setting.
