GETTING
STARTED
Place unit on a stable surface. Plug the power adaptor into the
AC jack on back of the unit and the other end into awall socket.

POD
Docking &Charging your iPhone or iPod
Make sure your iPod/iPhone's firmware is up to date via iTunes
before use. Remove
your iPod/iPhone from case or skin before
docking. Carefully dock your iPod/iPhone onto the dock. Your
iPhone or iPod will charge while docked.
Listening to iPhone or iPod
Press the Power Button (or any button) to turn the unit on. Press
Play on iPhone or iPod to listen to music. Adjust levels with -or +
Buttons. Press the DPS Button to activate Bongiovi audio. When
you are done listening, press the Power Button to turn the unit
off. When unit
is off, docking an already playing iPhone or iPod will
turn it on.

LINE-IN
LINE-IN JACK
Connect one end of a standard stereo 3.5mm audio cable (not
included) into the line-in
jack on the back of your iHome and
the
other into the headphone or output jack of your audio
device. Turn the device on and press play. Press the Power
Button on the unit to turn it on. Adjust volume on your audio
device and the unit as needed. Do not play an line-in audio
device and a docked iPhone or iPod at the same time or you
will hear
both sources.

VIDEO-OUT
Your iHome is capable of outputting video stored on your
iPod/iPhone to your television via the jacks on the rear.
Depending on your model of iPod/iPhone. the supported
video-out characteristics vary. See below.

All iPod/iPhone models also output composite video. To switch to
composite video. turn your iHome on, hold Bongiovi
DPS button (on
front) and press volume down (-) button. To switch back to component
video, hold Bongiovi
DPS button and press volume up (+) button.
These steps will
be necessary each time you dock your iPod/iPhone.

5. Po':/er-Cable Protection -Power supply cables should be routed so that they are not likely to be

it is plugged into an AC socket.
6. Cleaning -The unit should be cleaned only as recommended. See the Maintenance section of this
manual for cleaning instructions.
7. Objects and Liquid Entry -Care should be taken so that Objects do not fall and liqUids are not spilled
,nto any openings or vents located
on the product.
8. Attachments -Do not use attachments not recommended by the product manufacturer.
9. Lightning and Power Surge Protection -Unplug the unit from the wall socket and disconnect the
antenna or cable system during alightning storm or when it is left unattended and unused for long
periods of time. This will prevent damage to the product due to lightning and power-line surges.
10. Overloading - Do not overload wall sockets. extension cords. or Integral convenience receptacles as
thiS can result in arisk of fire or electriC shock.
11. Damage Requiring Service -The unit should be serviced by qualified service personnel when:
A. the power supply cable or plug has been damaged.
B. objects have fallen into or liquid has been spilled into the enclosure.
C. the unit has been exposed to rain.
D. the unit has been dropped or the enclosure damaged.
E. tre unit exhibits amarked change in performance or does not operate normally.
12. Periods
of Non use -If the unit is to be left unused for an extended period of time. such as amonth or
longer. the
power cable should be unplugged from the unit to prevent damage or corrosion.
13. Servicing -The user should not attempt
to service the unit beyond those methods described in the
user's operating instructions. Service methods not covered

Replacing the Battery
Your Rz2 remote control comes with one CR2032 battery installed. When the range
of the remote seems reduced or if it ceases to work properly, it's time to replace the
battery.
1. Slide battery compartment cover on rear of remote
control off and remove battery.
2. Place
fresh CR2032 in battery well as shown
(make
sure +/- polarity matches markings).
3. Replace battery compartment cover.

A. Make sure you are within 15 feet of the unit and that the remote is pointed at the
front of the unit.

work together, follow these 3simple tips.
•Always use the insert that matches your iPod/iPhone
to avoid
damage to iPod/iPhone connector pins. (To
find out which insert is the right one for your
iPod/iPhone, see instruction book).
If product does
not require inserts, dock gently.
•Always place
and remove your iPod/iPhone at a
15 degree angle to the rear. This allows your
iPod/iPhone to
be inserted and removed smoothly.
•Never pull iPod/iPhone forward
or push backwards.
This can damage your iHome product and/or your
iPod/iPhone.

PROBLEMS?
RESET YOUR iPod (will not affect music on your iPod)
1. Toggle (move) the Hold switch ON and OFF (slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
2. Press and hold the Menu +Select buttons until the Apple logo appears (about 6-10
econds). You may need to repeat this step.
RESET YOUR iPhone/iPod touch
1. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for
at least ten seconds until the Apple logo appears.
UPDATE iPhone/iPod FIRMWARE
Update your iPhone/iPod firmware via iT unes on you computer.
