QUICK BLUETOOTH CONNECTION GUIDE
PAIRING & LINKING YOUR NFC DEVICE WITH THE iBN26
0Biuetooth
1)
Turn
on
your Bluetooth-enabled/NFC-enabled device and turn
on
NFC capability
(typically under 'Settings')
as
described
in
the device's user manual.
2)
Place your NFC-enabled device
in
play mode.
3)
Touch theiU area
of
your playing device against the
lU
antenna
on
top
of
the
unit. The unit will enter automatic pairing mode, a tone will sound and the
Power/Pairing Indicator Light
on
the unit will quickly flash blue while the unit
·attempts to pair. If prompted, accept Bluetooth pairing
on
your device.
"iHome iBN26" should appear
on
your device's menu. Once paired with a
device, the Power/Pairing Indicator Light
on
the unit will glow blue steadily.
Music will now play through the unit.
PAIRING
&
LINKING YOUR BLUETOOTH DEVICE WITH THE iBN26
1)
Turn
on
your Bluetooth device.
2) Turn
on
Bluetooth functionality
on
your Bluetooth device. Typically, Bluetooth
controls are found
on
the device's tools or settings menu (see your user
manual). Turn on Bluetooth connectivity and make your device "discoverable".
3)
Press the Power /End Button. The unit will turn on and attempt to auto link to a
previously paired device, indicated by a 3 note tone and the Power/Pairing
Indicator Light
on
the front of the unit slowly flashing blue. If a linked device
is
found, the indicator will glow solid blue.
4) If your linked device was not found, press and hold the Pairing Button for 2
seconds. The unit will enter pairing mode, indicated by a tone and the
Power/Pairing Indicator Light
on
the unit will quickly flash blue while the unit
attempts to pair. "iHome iBN26" should appear
on
your device's menu. If "Not
Paired', "Not Connected' or similar appears
on
your display, select "iHome iBN26"
to begin/complete pairing. If your device asks for a password, enter 1234
on
the
keyboard
of
your device. If
no
device
is
paired within 2 minutes, a tone will sound
and the unit will revert to auto link mode. To retry pairing, press and hold the
Pairing Button.
5)
Once paired with a device, the Power/Pairing Indicator Light
on
the unit will glow blue steadily. There
should
be
an
indication
on
your device ("Connected' or similar) that pairing is complete.
On
some devices,
you
must then select "Use as Audio Device" or similar
on
the device's Bluetooth menu. Once paired, your
device should link to the iBN26 whenever within range.
6) Pairing remains intact when the iBN26 and/or the Bluetooth device
is
powered off or
is
taken out
of
link
range (about 30 feet). The iBN26 supports auto-linking and will automatically re-establish
an
active
connection when your Bluetooth device returns within range.
7)
The next time the iBN26
is
powered
on
it will automatically try to re-establish a link with the most recently
linked Bluetooth device. If your device does not support auto-linking OR was not the last linked to the
iBN26, you must re-link manually by selecting iBN26 from the Bluetooth device's menu
on
your Bluetooth
device.
