7. Power sources – The appliance should be connected to a

About Electromagnetic Interference (EMI)
This device is designed and manufactured not to exceed the
exposure limit for radio frequency energy, which is set by the
Federal Communications Commission of the U.S government.
The term “EMI” is short for the electromagnetic interference
caused by the electromagnetic field generated by electronic

IMPORTANT NOTES ON HEARING
Your hearing is very important to you and to us. We strongly
recommend you to follow the guideline below in order to prevent
possible damage to or loss of hearing.
Hearing experts caution that listening to loud sounds can
damage hearing over time. With continuous listening to loud
sounds, hearing adapts and will give the impression that volume
has reduced. What seems normal may, in fact, be harmful. To
guard against this before hearing adapts, set the volume at a low
level and slowly increase the volume level until sound can be
heard comfortably and clearly without distortion. Damage to
hearing is accumulative and is irreversible. Ringing or discomfort
in the ears indicates that the volume is too loud. Once a
comfortable listening level has been established, do not increase
the volume level further.
Cautions
•If you experience a ringing sound in your ear, lower the
volume or discontinue the use of this product.
•Do not use the headphones while driving or cycling. Because
this product reduces the external noises, you might not be
able to hear the warning sounds, such as an automobile horn,
and might result in the traffic accident. Additionally, listening
to headphones while driving is illegal in many places

been designed wireless music enjoyment and mobile phone
connection using Bluetooth wireless technology. Please keep
this manual in a safe place for future reference.

What is Bluetooth wireless technology?
Bluetooth wireless technology is a short-range wireless
communication technology intended to replace the cables
connecting electronic devices while maintaining the high level of
security. With Bluetooth wireless technology, two devices can be
connected at the same time without the need to face each other
or the concern of interference from other wireless communication
within its optimum range of 33 feet.
Through a process called “Pairing,” two or more devices with
Bluetooth wireless technology can interact with each other
without interference from other wireless platforms nearby,
including other Bluetooth wireless communications between
unrelated devices.

Charging the Headset or audio transmitter
Fully charge the headset or audio
transmitter by connecting the charger to
the mini-USB port under the JOG
controller on the right side of the
headset, or
the mini-USB
port of audio
transmitter.
Note: The Power ON/OFF switch must be in the ON position in
order for the dongle to charge.
Turning on the Headset
1. Press and hold the JOG
controller until the blue
indicator light begins
flashing.
2. Turn on melody will sound.
Note: The blue indicator will continuously flash when the power
is on.
Turning off the Headset
1. Press and hold the JOG
controller until the red
indicator light begins
flashing.

Pairing the headset with devices using
Bluetooth wireless technology
1. In power off state, press
and hold the JOG controller
for five (5) seconds.
2. Listen for the 2nd melody.
3. Blue and Red lights will
blink alternatively.
4. Set both the i222 and the
device (mobile phone, etc.) with which you want to pair it to
SEARCH mode following the pairing instructions included
with the device. Typically mobile phones have a Bluetooth
menu from which SEARCH can be selected.
5. The mobile phone or other device with
Bluetooth wireless technology will
identify the Stereo
Headset. Confirm
with “yes,” or “ok.”
6. When asked for a passkey or PIN, enter
0000 (4 zeros) and press “yes,” or “ok.”

Notes on Pairing
This headset will not be recognized by your mobile phone unless
it is properly paired. The i222 cannot pair with mobile phones
which are not equipped with Bluetooth wireless technology. To
ensure that correct pairing is accomplished, it is important to
follow both these instructions and those which accompany the
corresponding mobile phone.
Pairing the headset with the audio
transmitter dongle
1. In power off state, press
and hold the JOG
controller for five (5)
seconds.
2. Listen for the 2nd melody.
3. Blue and Red lights will blink
alternatively.
4. Turn the dongle on.
5. Press and hold the PAIRING
button for five (5) seconds until
blue and red lights blink
alternately.
6. The headset and dongle will
automatically pair and light will
blink only Blue.

Making a Call
This headset must also be paired with your phone, enabled by
Bluetooth wireless technology in order to make a call.
1. Normal dialing: Press the CALL button
and dial the telephone number on your
mobile phone. When the call connects, it
will be heard through the headset.
2. Switching calls from phone to headset
of headset to phone: Press the CALL
button for two (2) seconds during active
phone call. If the phone and headset are
pared, the call will be transferred from
headset to phone or phone to headset.
3. Last number redial: After a call has been made, the number
can be automatically redialed by pressing the CALL button.
4. Voice dial function: Press and hold the CALL button for two
(2) seconds until you hear a short beep followed by a long
beep.
Answering a Call
Be certain the headset is properly paired with a mobile phone
featuring Bluetooth wireless technology before answering a call.
1. An incoming phone call will be indicated by a ring. Press the
CALL button once to answer the call.
2. If the headset is off when there is an incoming call, press the
Multi-function button to turn on the headset and press the
CALL button to answer the call as usual.

Notes on Answering a Call
•When there is an incoming call, some phones might not ring
when paired with i222, but there will be a beeping sound
from the headset. Press the CALL button to answer the
phone when you hear this beep.
•Similarly, some phones may not send an incoming call signal
to the headset. Press the CALL button when the phone rings.
Ending a Call
There are several ways to end a phone call.
1. Press the CALL button on the headset.
2. Press the END key on the mobile phone.
3. A call will also end as the person on the other end hangs up.
Answering a call while already on the phone
With the i222, it is possible to answer an incoming call while
already on the phone.
1. There will be a sound inflection during the phone
conversation. Press and hold the CALL button until there is a
beep. The previous call will be placed on hold without
disconnecting and the incoming call can be answered.
2. To return to the previous call, press the CALL button again
until there is a beep.
Note: Your mobile phone with Bluetooth wireless technology
must be paired with the i222 BEFORE these functions are
attempted. If audio devices or audio adapter are paired before
the mobile phone, these functions will not perform.

Playing Music on a Paired Device
Once paired with an audio device with Bluetooth
wireless technology (See instructions on page 12
of this manual), music playback can be controlled
using the i222.
1. Press the JOG controller to begin playback.
2. Press and hold the JOG controller to stop
playback.
3. Push the JOG controller forward or
backward to advance or reverse the
playback.
4. Push the JOG controller up or down to
increase of decrease the volume level.
Notes:
•These functions will NOT work when using the audio transmitter
dongle. Only the volume control works with the dongle.
•The integrated remote control feature is only supported when the
connected devices support the remote control feature through
Bluetooth wireless technology.
•Depending on the device these functions might be disabled due to
differences in software.
•Be aware that in order to answer and place calls while listening to
music, the i222 must be paired with a mobile phone BEFORE it is
paired with audio devices or audio transmitter dongle.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
1. The headset does not work with my mobile phone.
Be certain that your mobile phone is equipped with Bluetooth
wireless technology. This headset will only work with such
mobile phones. Additionally, your mobile phone must be
paired with the headset BEFORE all other pairing.
2. There is interference on the headset with my phone or
music playing devices.
The maximum distance for Bluetooth wireless communication
is 33 feet (10 meters). When this distance is approached,
background noise will increase. Also, a poor signal on the
mobile phone may contribute to degradation the quality of
sound as well.
3. There is no sound.
Ensure that the mobile phone or music player is turned on
and set up correctly. Be certain that the volume is turned up
on both devices.
4. Remote function like play/pause, skip up/down, stop
doesn’t work.
zDepending on the device, these functions might be
disabled due to differences in software.
zIf you are using the audio dongle, most of these remote
functions are not supported. It is also normal when the
remote control is not working.
