Place the battery on the scanner and press
it rmly to connect.
Insert Bug goggle connector in to scanner
connector, making sure dots line up. Bug
goggles will power on automatically.

Quick Guide
Main Menu
1. Gain – Adjust the gain using up and down
buttons.
2. Quick access – With the menu off, press the
up and down arrows to adjust the gain.
3. Mode – Modes help you to choose depth of
penetration. see below and specications
for a depth reference.
a. Detail - Depth – 6cm
b. Foetal sexing – 8cm
c. Ovary/Early – 8cm
d. Late – 12cm
4. Timer – Records time on the farm.
5. Ageing – this gives a guideline to aid ageing
of the foetus (CRL & TD).
6. Standby – Prolongs the battery life.
7. Image – Store and Review the images.
8. Cattle ID – Data entered here appears on
the bottom of stored images.
9. Output – Choose the viewing device or USB.
Set up
1. BUGS contrast/ brightness – To adjust
the setting , select either “Contrast” or
“Brightness” the word “Adjust will appear
alongside the selected option. Use the Up
(insert upward facing triangle here) and
Down (insert downward facing triangle
here) buttons to adjust the settings, press
the Select button (insert square here) to exit
adjustment mode.
2. Low Battery buzzer – When the external
battery is nearing the end of its useful
capacity, the on-screen indicator will start
to blink, in addition, by switching the “Low
Batt Buzzer” option to on, the scanner will
give an audible indication.
3. Grid – Choose the size of the grid on
viewing device.
4. Direction – Orientation of the display relative
to the probe.
5. Video channel – If you use Remote monitors
choose the channel on which you want to
see the image.
6. Bluetooth – Switch on Bluetooth to use app
to enter cattle and practice ID.
7. Practice data – Records a practice name
over the image.
8. Revised modes – Switch it on for a wider
trapezoidal image.
9. Factory reset – Selecting the “Reset” from
this sub-menu will reset all settings to factory
defaults, stored images are not affected.
10. Menu time – Chose how long the menu is
displayed for.
11. Languages – Choose language you want
menu to be displayed in.

Note: All IMV imaging products are to be used for animal applications only.
Care instructions
The Easi-Scan is designed for reliability in the
veterinary and animal husbandry marketplace.
Our engineers are available to provide rapid
service assistance, however there is no substitute
for careful usage.
The Easi-Scan will be damaged if you:
• Drop it.
• Hose it down.
• Leave it wet.
For a long and happy life:
• Clean immediately after use - before any
debris dries. Use antibacterial wipes to
reduce the need for drying.
• Thoroughly dry the scanner and the battery
before storage or changing.
• Occasionally discharge until scanner
automatically switches off, followed by a
complete charge for improved battery life.
• Do not store scanner for extended periods
without occasional exercise.
• Avoid knocking the probe head to prevent
damage to crystal array.
Specications
The Easi-Scan meets all the essential and safety
requirements of all current relevant European
Directives.
The CE mark on the front label is a symbol of
this conformance. If you require any further
information regarding these directives please
contact us directly. This product is classed as
electronic equipment. At the end of its useful
life it should not be disposed of with general
waste, it should be taken to a recycling point for
electrical/electronic equipment. The crossed-out
wheelie bin symbol is placed on the front label
as a reminder and in conformance with the
European WEEE Directive.
