6Beforeconnectingtheappliance,makesure thespecificationsontheratingplate
correspondwiththose ofyourpower supply.
7Checkthatyour supplyandsockets aresufficientfor thetotalloadtaken byyour
appliancewhich isstated onthe ratingplate. Ifyou haveany doubts,contact a
qualifiedtechnician forservice.
8Amultipolecircuitbreaker withaspacebetweencontactsof3 mmormoremust
be fitted for installation
9Ifthe socket andcookerplug arenotcompatible, havethesocket replacedwith
asuitablemodel byaqualified technicianwhoshould alsocheckthatthe cross-
sectionofthesocket cable issuitedtothepowerabsorbed bytheappliance.The
useof adaptors, multiplesockets and/or extensions,is notrecommended. If
theiruse cannotbe avoided,rememberto useonly singleormultiple adapters
andextensions whichcomply withcurrent safety regulations. In thesecases,
neverexceedthe maximumcurrentcapacity indicatedonthesingle adaptoror
extensionandthe maximumpowerindicatedonthe multipleadapter.
10 Donot leavethe applianceplugged inif itis notnecessary. Switchoff themain
switchand gascock whenyouare notusing thecooker.
11 The openings and slots used for ventilation and dispersion of
heat must never be closed or plugged.
12 The user must not replace the supply cable of this appliance. Always call an
after-salesservicing centreauthorisedbythe manufacturerinthe caseofcable
damageorreplacement.

14 Anumberoffundamentalrulesmustbefollowedwhenusingelectricalappliances.

15 Always unplug the hob from the mains or switch off the main switch before
cleaningorcarryingout maintenanceoperations.
16 If the surface of the glass breaks, disconnect the appliance immediately. For
repairscallonlyan authorisedafter-salesservicingcentre and requesttheuseof
originalspareparts only.Failure to complywiththe abovemaycompromisethe
safetyof theappliance.
17 Ifyouare nolongerusing theappliance,rememberto makeitunserviceable by
unpluggingtheappliancefromthemainsandcuttingthesupplycable.Alsomake
allpotentially dangerouspartsof theappliance, safe,aboveall forchildren who
couldplay with theappliance.
18 Thevitreous chinahobis resistanttotemperature fluctuationsandshockproof.
Rememberhoweverthatsharpkitchen toolsor cuttersmay breakthe surface of
thehob.If thishappens,unplug thecookerimmediatelyfrom themainsandcall
yourlocal servicingcentre.
19 Rememberthat thecooking surface remainshot forat leasthalf anhour after
youswitch off thesurface. Donot placecontainers or otherobjects onthe hot
surface.
20 Avoidsetting anythingon theglass surfaceof thecooktop.
21 Donotturn onthecookingsurfaces ifthereare sheetsofaluminiumfoil orplastic
onthehob.
22 Keepaway fromthehot surfaces.
23 Whenusingsmall electricalhouseholdappliancesclose tothehob,ensure that
thepower cabledoes notrest onthe hotsurfaces
24 Keeppot handlesturnedinwards toavoid knockingthepot offthe hob.
25 When you turn on the cooking surface always place a pot on the surface
immediatelyas itwillotherwise overheat veryquicklyand possiblydamagethe
heatingelements.
26 Preliminary instructions. The glass sealant utilised may leave traces of
greaseontheglass.Remembertowipe theseawaywith anormal nonabrasive
detergentbeforeyouturnon theappliance. Duringthe firstfew hoursof usethere
maybe asmell ofrubber whichwilldisappear veryquickly.
27 When the appliance is in use, the heating elements and some
parts of the oven door become extremely hot. Make sure you
don't touch them and keep children well away.
28 Makesure theknobs areinthe “•”/”o”position whentheappliance isnot inuse.
29 Ifthe cooker isplacedon apedestal,take thenecessaryprecautions toprevent
thesame from slidingoff thepedestal itself.
To maintain the EFFICIENCY and SAFETY of this appliance, we recommend:
• call only the Service Centers authorized by the manufacturer
• always use original Spare Parts
The appliance must be used by adults only for
the preparation of food, in accordance with the
instructions outlined in this booklet. Any other
use of the appliance (e.g. for heating the room)
constitutes improper use and is dangerous. The
manufacturer may not be held liable for any
damage resulting from improper, incorrect and
unreasonable use of the appliance.
