Glideabout Commode, 4 Braked Castors – 90099
Intended Purpose
This product has been designed to provide an aid for toileting or for transfer indoors on even surfaces.
Fitting Instructions
1. Guide the backrest assembly onto the seat frame with the arms facing down.
2. Turn the star handle screw one revolution from behind into the seat frame.
3. Swivel the armrests on both upwards until the spring pin latches into the hole of the lock of the
seat frame.
4. Turn the head of the star handle until it locks against the tube (Hand-tight).
5. Place the footrest onto the pins on each side of the frame at the front.
6. Swivel both footrests to the front ensuring that they lock in position (No movement is possible in
a sideways direction).

Cleaning
The product can be cleaned and disinfected using commercially available cleaning agents.
Disinfect the product by wiping down all generally accessible surfaces with disinfectant (after
disassembling the product if possible).
All cleaning & disinfectants used must be effective, compatible with one another and must protect the
materials they are used to clean.
Clean by hand only.
Clean without using any form of scouring agent.
Maximum cleaning temperature 60°C.
Maintenance and Periodic Inspection
This product is maintenance free so long as the cleaning and safety instructions shown above are
adhered to.
Check the product regularly for damage and to ensure that it is securely assembled.
Check screws regularly for tight seating & if necessary, tighten the screws with the Allen key provided.
Check the brake function regularly to ensure castors lock securely & release easily.
Specification
Frame is composed of welded, chrome plated mild steel tube.
The armpads are made from PU.
The seat pad is HF welded PVC with a foam and wood filling.
Castor wheels are produced from Mild Steel & Rubber and are braked for safety.
