Production Configurations
Base Unit Description
This section contains information needed to order and configure a production SSR212PP. The unit is shipped as a
complete, fully integrated, system. The base system includes software. There are different configurations, varying with:
Network Connectivity: iSCSI or Fibre Channel
HDDs: 500GB or 250GB
Controllers: Single or Dual
Each SSR212PP storage system contains the following:
Hardware
•1 x 2U system chassis (including SATA backplane, system fans, power supply enclosure)
•1 x Storage Processor Assembly containing the following components:
o1 (single processor) or 2 (dual processor) x 300 W power supply module
o2 (single processor) or 4 (dual processor) x iSCSI or FC Front End (FE) ports
o1 (single processor) or 2 (dual processor) x Intel® Processor 1.3 GHz
o1 (single processor) or 2 (dual processor) x 512MB memory module
o1 x 256MB battery backed cache card (single processor only)
•3 (single processor) or 4 (dual processor) 250GB or 500GB SATA II hard disk drives
•8 (dual processor) or 9 (single processor) disk drive blanks
•12x Serial ATA hard disk drive cable
•1x rack mount rail Kit
•1x Serial communication Cable
•1x printed Quick Start Guide
•1x Resource CD
Software
•Navisphere Express storage management software (installed on unit)
•Navisphere Express Server initialization software
•Navisphere Express Storage System initialization software
•PowerPath* path management software
