The CE marking says that this product meets the requirements of all EU Direcves
applicable for this product.
Delivery scope
OVERVIEW
The main purpose of this EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE KIT is the storage of data from PCs, Notebooks,
Ultrabooks or MAC computer. This product is not intended for commercial use or for medical and
special applicaons, where the failure of the product can cause injuries, mortalies or conside-
rable material damages. In the case of use which does not correspond to the intended use, the
liability expires. The conversion of the device and the use of addional devices and accessories,
which are not approved by us, must be refrained from. Do not use the device under extreme
ambient condions and observe the safety instrucons. Non-observance of the informaon and
safety instrucons in these Instrucons is deemed as non-observance of the intended use and
leads to expiry of the liability and can lead to personal or material damage.

Close the housing. Slide the cover of the underside from the side in
the direcon of the housing.

This EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE KIT is compable with the operang systems MS Windows 7 / 8 /
8.1 / 10 and Mac OS 10.x*. A free USB interface is required to operate it.

System requirements
Notes:
A USB 3.0 interface card is necessary for the USB 3.0 operaon The hard drive is downward
compable to previous USB standards. The hardware conguraon of your PC and the used
operang system can inuence the compability of the hard drive.
Power supply under USB 2.0: In the case that your USB 3.0 hard drive is not recognised on a
computer with a USB 2.0 port, the power supply could be a possible cause. Please connect a USB
hub with external power supply in this case.

Open the housing. Slide the cover of the underside to the side.
Insert the hard drive into the housing. To do this, angle the hard
drive slightly and connect the interfaces with each other. Then bring
the hard drive into a horizontal posion.
Now connect the EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE KIT with your computer
and set up the new drive (observe the instrucons under
“Connecng the device”).

Connecting the device
LED USB 3.0 Micro B
To connect the EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE KIT to your computer, please use only the supplied USB
cable. Connect the USB 3.0 plug with the EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE KIT and the plug of the USB
cable end with your computer. At rst use, a new hard drive has to be inialised and formaed by
the operang system to be displayed by the system. For further details please refer to the Help
Secon of your operang system provider. You can nd a Video Tutorial on our website or simply
scan the QR code on the packaging. As soon as the set-up is concluded, the integrated LED lights
up. The LED ashes when a write or read operaon is carried out.
Depending on the used operang system, the EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE KIT must be logged o
before the connecon to the computer is interrupted. For further details please refer to the Help
Secon of your operang system provider. The device may not be removed when it is sll being
accessed (ashing LED). This can lead to damages and/or data loss. Please close all the les loca-
ted on the hard drive (photos, documents, etc.) before removing the EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE KIT.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Children oen underesmate dangers or do not recognise them at all. This device is not intended
to be used by persons (including children) with restricted sensory, physical or mental abilies
or lack of experience and/or knowledge, unless they are supervised by a person responsible for
their safety or received instrucons from the person on how to use the device and they have
understood the resultant dangers. Unsupervised children should not have access to the device.
Make sure that children do not play with the device.
Dangers for children and persons with restricted physical, sensory or
mental abilities:

The device may not be exposed to spray or dripping water.
Vessels lled with liquid (vases, glasses or similar) may not be placed on the device. There is
danger that the vessel ps over and the liquid impairs the electrical safety.
Do not operate this device with wet hands.
Do not insert any items, which are not intended for its use, into the openings of the device. This
could lead to an electrical short-circuit and a resultant re.
Do not block or cover the openings of the product.
Under no circumstances use the device in the case of visible damages on it or the USB cable.
When posioning the device, pay aenon that no one can tread on the cable or trip over it. Do
not place any objects onto the cable.
Do not drop the device or subject it to vibraons or impacts, this applies in parcular to the
transport. Do not move the device when it is in operaon. Hard drives are extremely vulnerable
and the data located on them can be destroyed irretrievably through this. Such damages are not
contained in the guarantees.
Carry out data backups frequently to avoid a possible data loss.
Data recovery is not part of the guarantees and cannot be conducted by our Service Centre!
Keep the device away from any type of moisture and avoid dust, heat and direct sunlight.
Do not try to repair the device yourself. The guarantee expires in this case.
Avoid using the device in strongly magnezed areas such as, for example, in the direct proximity
of TV sets, loudspeakers, etc. to avoid data loss or other malfuncons.
During operaon pay aenon to a vibraon-free base to avoid damages.
General
ASSISTANCE WITH PROBLEMS
Check the EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE KIT and the USB cable for visible damages. Should there be
damage please contact our Support to exchange it. Under no circumstances use the defecve
device or cable. Check that the cable connecon is plugged correctly.
Status LED is not illuminated
Check the points under “Status LED is not illuminated” rst.
Please check all further USB ports of your device (in parcular on the rear side of PCs), it is
possible that the EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE KIT does not get enough power at the used USB port.
Please use only the supplied cable and, in parcular, no extension. If you use a USB hub between
EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE KIT and computer, this should have an own power supply.
If the EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE KIT is not recognized at any USB port of your device, please try if it
works on another device to exclude a possible defect.
Check the Disk Management, it is possible that the EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE KIT sll has to be
inialised (please see the Help le of your operang system provider for details).

If you have used the EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE KIT previously, for example on a TV set, it could be
that you have to format the hard drive rst so that you can use it on a computer again (please
refer to the operang instrucons of the previously used device and/or the Help le of your
operang system provider for details).

International GmbH is not liable for the loss of data. The free-of-charge guarantee relates to
the repair or exchange of faulty parts. You are responsible for the safe elimination of your data
which is not carried out by us. The sales receipt must be retained for the determination of the
guarantee period. Please understand that we cannot provide a guarantee service in the case of,

2. Furthermore, an RMA number is absolute precondion for returns. You can request this
RMA number via the homepage, by email or via the service hotline. It must be aached
clearly visible on the parcel.
3. Please pack the product including the sales receipt and complete accessories in a
transport-proof manner. The parcel must have sucient postage.

Le but principal de cet EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE KIT est le stockage de données à parr de PC,
d‘ordinateurs portables, d‘Ultrabooks ou d‘ordinateurs MAC. Ce produit n‘est pas desné à un
usage commercial ou pour des applicaons médicales et spéciales où une panne du produit
pourrait causer des blessures, la mort ou des dommages matériels considérables. En cas d‘usage
contraire à l‘ulisaon conforme, la garane devient caduque. Il est interdit de modier l‘appa-
reil ou d‘uliser des appareils supplémentaires ou accessoires non approuvés par nous. N‘ulisez
pas l‘appareil dans des condions ambiantes extrêmes et respectez les consignes de sécurité. Le
non-respect des informaons et consignes de sécurité gurant dans le présent mode d‘emploi
sera considéré comme non-respect de l‘ulisaon conforme et entraîne l‘annulaon de notre
responsabilité ; il peut également en résulter des dommages corporels ou matériels.
Utilisation conforme
Branchez le boîer. À cet eet, faites glisser le recouvrement situé
sur le dessous en direcon du boîer depuis le côté.

Cet EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE KIT est compable avec les systèmes d‘exploitaon MS Windows
7/8/8.1/10 et Mac OS 10.x*. Pour l‘ulisaon, une interface USB libre est nécessaire.
*Marques déposées : Windows 7/8/8.1/10 sont des marques déposées de Microso
Corporaon. Macintosh et MAC sont des marques déposées d‘Apple Computer. Toutes les
marques et tous les noms de ers sont la propriété des ulisateurs respecfs.
Conguration minimale requise
Remarques:
Pour l‘ulisaon avec la norme USB 3.0, une carte d‘interface USB 3.0 est nécessaire. Le disque
dur est rétrocompable avec les normes USB précédentes. La conguraon matérielle de votre
PC et le système d‘exploitaon ulisé peuvent inuer sur la compabilité du disque dur.
Alimentaon électrique avec USB 2.0 : si votre disque dur USB 3.0 n‘est pas détecté par un
ordinateur doté d‘une connexion USB 2.0, l‘alimentaon électrique peut être à l‘origine du
problème. Dans ce cas, veuillez brancher un concentrateur USB doté d‘une alimentaon
électrique externe.

Ouvrez le boîer. À cet eet, faites glisser sur le côté le
recouvrement situé sur le dessous.
Insérez le disque dur dans le boîer. À cet eet, inclinez légèrement
le disque dur et reliez les interfaces. Amenez ensuite le disque dur
en posion horizontale.
Connectez ensuite l‘EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE KIT à votre ordinateur et
congurez le nouveau lecteur (observez à cet eet les instrucons
sous « Connexion de l‘appareil »).
