3 INSTRUMENT DESCRIPTION
INTERLUX is universal, adjustable instrument for photopolymerisation. Area of using includes
photopolymerisation of materials for modelling, lacquers and materials for faceting, which
are light-consolidating in the area from 350 nm to 400 nm in normal conditions.
INTERLUX is distinguished with easy usage and practical measurements, which do not use a
lot of working space.
Instrument adequate with current technical standards and considers all known safety
directives. Nevertheless the danger should be taken under consideration.
Before first use these instructions should be read.
4 INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFE WORK
For the most safe work these instructions should be taken under consideration:
INTERLUX is used exclusively for photopolymerisation of lacquers and synthetic plastic
materials, which are light-consolidating. Usage for other purposes is not allowed and the
manufacturer does not take any responsibility for the damage of material, instrument or
teeth.
Just so the manufacturer is not responsible for the damage, made by incorrect usage of the
instrument.
For safe work the Law about work protection, which is used in different countries, should be
taken under consideration.
5 ELECTRIC OPERATIVE RELIABILITY
Before connecting the instrument on wire netting, check the voltage with the voltage on the
plate on the back of the instrument.
The instrument is allowed to be connected only in electric source, which suits local
regulations. You should also take under consideration that cable is not damaged and under
burden.

6
While repairing and maintaining the instrument must not be connected on wire netting.
Only authorized person is allowed to repair the instrument. Interdent is not responsible for
the damage, made by non-expertise repairs on the instrument.
After repairs on the electrical parts of the instrument, it should be tested again if it fits local
regulations.
6 SAFETY USAGE
To prevent stagnation of overheating, there are grids on the upper side of the instrument,
which have to be free during work. The instrument has to have safe distance from heating
devices.
With damages, which do not assure safe work anymore, the instrument should be
disconnected from wire netting and usage should be prevented, until the instrument is not
flawless.
To prevent unwanted polymerisation, you should not put synthetic materials, which can be
polymerised by light, in front of the instrument.
7 SETTING AND STARTING
Unpacking
When you are unpacking, you should make sure, that instrument is not damaged.
In case of damage, you should return the instrument to manufacturer with the bill and
supply order, which includes serial number of the instrument.
Damages, caused by incorrect transport, should immediately be laid claim to authorized
forwarding agent.
8 PLACING
The instrument should be placed on horizontal, flat and non-sliding working surface, on the
distance from heating devices. You should be careful, that there is enough room for on-off
switch and that grids for cooling polymerisation chamber are free.
Before first turning on, you should wait that the instrument heats on room temperature.

7
9 STARTING
We have to make sure that the Fluorescent bulb is undamaged. We put faultless bulb gently
in the frame.
Before turning on we have to be sure, that voltage is the same as on the plate on the back of
the instrument.
If voltage does not match, you must not connect the instrument.
With pushing on the switch 4on 0, you can make sure, that the instrument is off.
Connect network cable of the instrument 5with well installed and safe electric source.
Turn the network switch 4 with push on I –the instrument is ready.
With switch 7 you choose method of work:
O continuous activity
I Activity for 5 minutes
II Activity for 10 minutes
With push on the start-button 8the fluorescent bulbs in the polymerisation chamber will be
turned on for requested duration.
Damaged fluorescent bulbs should be immediately changed. The instrument should not
be operating with damaged bulbs.
In case, that one or more fluorescent bulbs do not work, or that fluorescent light does not
turn off after chosen time, use the instructions in the table.
You turn of the instrument by pushing switch 4 on 0.
10 MAINTAINCE
Interlux usually does not need mintaince. For safe work you have to check before every use,
that instrument does not have external damages and that network cable is faultless.
Before every use you should make sure that fluorescent lights are well installed. Broken
lights should not be used.
Repairs of functional parts performs manufacturer Interdent. You can use only original
fluorescent lights, according to rules of manufacturer. Interdent is not responsible for the
damage, made because of using damaged parts or parts, not delivered by Interdent.

8
Life period of the florescent lights is aprox. 1000 hours and it has to be changed as soon as
polymerisation time is longer than needed.
For changing used bulb gently pull the bulb out of the frame and with gentle push insert the
new one.
11 CLEANING AND CARE
Before each cleaning the instrument should be turned off.
You should be careful that there are not any leftovers of materials in the polymerisation
chamber. It is recommended, that you clean the leftovers with dry paper towel.
You should not put any liquids in the casing interior.
Interior and exterior of casing can be cleaned with moisture mop. Alcohol or cleansers can
damage the surface of casing.
Cleaning and care has to be made only by qualified staff.
