Introduction
Safety notice
This product, supplying breathing gas to the user, has been tested in
accordance with EN250:2014, including requirements for buddy breathing and
cold water diving, and is to be used according to local regulations.
Manufacturer: Interspiro AB, Box 2853 18728 Täby Sweden
The depth of the equipment certification is 50 meter (164 feet).
It is approved for use together with the following products, described in the user
manuals listed below:
• Divator Pro high pressure regulator unit – This user manual
• Divator Pro harness / BC – Document number 34271
• Divator Full face mask (facepiece) and breathing valve – Document number
95283
• Divator DP1 Surface supply system – Document number 96708
Interspiro is not responsible for:
• combinations of products, unless put to market by Interspiro

Warning
Before using the Divator / OX10 / IS-Mix system, the user
must have received full training in its use, have read and
understood these operating instructions and demonstrated
proficiency to a responsible trainer or supervisor. Failure to
do so may result in injury or death for the user and can have
serious consequences for people to be rescued and/or items
of value to be saved.

Warning
All users of the Divator / OX10 / IS-Mix system must be
certified by a nationally or internationally recognized scuba
certification agency. Furthermore, all users of the Divator
system must be adequately trained in its use by a certified
diving instructor with knowledge and experience in the use of
the Divator diving system.
Warning
All users of the Divator / OX10 / IS-Mix system must
periodically undergo training in emergency procedures in
shallow water to maintain preparedness in the event of an
actual emergency.
Warning
High pressure gas systems must be handled with care.
Damage to high pressure gas system components may result
in injury or death. Interspiro is not liable for damages incurred
as a consequence of failure to follow the instructions in this
manual.
Warning
The breathing gas shall meet the requirements for breathing
gas according to EN 12021.

Medium pressure connections
• 5 medium pressure outlets (3/8”) are available on each cover. They can
be used to connect breathing/octopus valves, dry suits, BC hoses or any
additional hoses.

High pressure connections
• The regulator has 2 high pressure outlets (7/16”). They can be used to
connect a pressure gauge, the Divator HUD or other high pressure devices.
Divator DP1 connection
• The connection is added to the top cover of the regulator to connect to the
P+ regulator of the Divator DP1 surface supply system.
The connection can be made under the surface.
Notice
If the regulator shall be used without a Divator breathing valve
(which can release overpressure) connected to it, it must be
equipped with a relief valve.
Warning
All modifications of the hose configuration must be performed
by an Interspiro certified service technician according the
service manual.

Reserve valve
The diver gets an active breathing resistance warning when approximately 20%
of the SCUBA cylinder air supply remains at about 60-70 bar (870-1015 psi).
The warning occurs on the higher end of this pressure range when the air
consumption is high. The warning occurs on the lower end of this pressure
range when the air consumption is low.
The breathing resistance warning is created by reducing the air supply at the
end of each inhalation. The inhalation phase will be shorter and shorter until
the valve becomes completely closed or until the reserve valve lever is turned
to reserve position. When the reserve lever is turned to reserve position, the
breathing resistance warning is shut off and the reserve air volume is available
to the diver.

It is not possible to inadvertently or prematurely activate the reserve valve
lever; it will automatically reset itself to dive position until the air supply
pressure has dropped below approximately 80 bar (1160 psi).
When using the Divator DP1 Surface Supply, breathing air will be taken from
the DIVATOR DP1 Surface Supply as long as the supply pressure is greater
than 20 bar (290 psi) at a dive depth of 50 meters (150 feet) or less. Note: The
DIVATOR DP1 Surface unit has a low air warning whistle that is activated at 55
bar (790 psi).
When using the Divator DP1 Surface Supply and the surface air supply is
interrupted, air will be taken from the diver's SCUBA cylinders. The diver
will receive an active breathing resistance warning when the Divator SCUBA
cylinder pressure has dropped to approximately 60 - 70 bar (870 - 1015 psi).

Before use
Visual inspection
1. Make sure that the regulator is clean and free from sand and/or debris
from previous use.
2. Check all visible O-rings.
Damaged or missing O-rings must be replaced by an Interspiro certified
service technician.
3. Inspect the regulator to detect if it has any signs of damage. A damaged or
defective regulator must be replaced or repaired by an Interspiro certified
service technician.
4. Check all hoses by pulling and bending them while inspecting for damage,
cracks and discolouration. If the high pressure hose to the pressure gauge
is found to be defective or damaged, it must be replaced by an Interspiro
certified service technician.
Warning
The air loss caused by a leak in the dry-suit hose is just as
great as that caused by a leak in the breathing hose.

Assembling
Assembling the regulator on a cylinder pack
1. Make sure that the connections on the regulator and the cylinder are
clean.
2. Assemble the regulator on the cylinder by screwing it fully into the cylinder
valve, tighten by hand only. Make sure to orient it according to the image.
3. Place all hoses, except the dry suit hose, in the grooves between the
cylinders on either side of the spacing rod.

Do not open the cylinder valve yet.

Connecting the breathing hose
1. Connect the breathing hose to the full face mask (or breathing valve) by
tightening it finger-tight.
2. If a mask with safety pressure is used, close the lever on the breathing
valve.
Connecting the inflation hose
1. Put the inflation hose for the BC over the left shoulder along the
corrugated inflation hose and connect it to the power inflator.
2. Adjust the hose length so that both hoses are parallel.

Connecting the octopus breathing hose and valve
1. Connect the hose to the octopus breathing valve by screwing it on finger
tight. Close the lever on the octopus breathing valve.
2. Make sure the hose is held in place and that there are no protruding parts
that can get stuck.
Connecting the Divator DP1 hose
1. Attach the P+ regulator with its P+ holder to the waist belt on the Divator
Pro harness by fitting the bungee cord around the waist belt.
2. Connect the carabiner to the Divator Pro harness on its attachment point
on the right shoulder strap.
Make sure that no pull force in the DP1 hose will pull directly on the P+
regulator.
3. Connect the hose with underwater quick coupling from the Divator Pro P+
to the DP1 connection on the reserve valve.
Notice
With the lifeline correctly connected, it is possible to pull the
supply hose in any direction without straining the connection.
All strain must be absorbed by the relieving loop and the
carabiner.

Leakage and function test
1. If using the primary breathing valve with safety pressure lever, make sure
that the safety pressure lever is in closed position.
2. Turn the reserve lever to reserve position.
3. Open the cylinder valve slowly and observe the pressure gauge. Check
that the pointer moves normally and smoothly. If the pointer moves
irregularly or not at all, the pressure gauge is faulty. When the cylinder
valve is fully open, then close it a quarter turn.
Check that the reserve lever on the reserve valve flips up to dive position
when the pressure rises.
4. Check the pressure gauge to make sure that there is enough air pressure
in the cylinder for the planned dive. Interspiro recommends that the
cylinder should be full before every dive.

5. Make sure that the safety pressure unit is working properly by pressing
on the diaphragm, making sure that it springs back immediately when
releasing the pressure.
6. If using a BC and/or a dry-suit: Check that they can be inflated by
activating the inflation function. Also check that the dump valves are
functional.
7. Check the the breathing valve(s): Breathe in the breathing valve / mask to
make sure that the breahing gas is of good quality and that the breathing
resistance is normal
Warning
When it is below zero degrees the breathing valve(s)
should be checked in a warm room or under water to
prevent freezing.
8. For breathing valve with safety pressure and octopus breathing valve:
Push the lever to closed position.

9. Test the entire system for leaks:
• Close the cylinder valve.
• Listen for leaks.
• Wait for one (1) minute.
• Check that the pressure gauge needle does not fall by more than 10 Bar
(145 Psi).
Warning
If leakage is greater than the specified value, another
leakage has been located or if the equipment is found to
be defective or damaged, the equipment must be repaired
by an interspiro certified service technician.
10. Check that the reserve valve is working properly:
1. Slowly decrease the pressure to 50 bar by lightly pressing the purge
button on the breathing valve.
2. Hold the purge button pressed down.
Check that it comes an air puff when turning the reserve lever to the
reserve position.
An air puff indicates that the reserve valve is working properly.

During use
Checks during diving
1. Check the pressure gauge repeatedly to monitor air consumption.
Terminate the dive with sufficient air pressure to be able to return safely to
the surface or to the entry point of the dive.
2. Check for leaks or abnormal behavior of the Divator Pro regulator (small
bubbles will occasionally leave the anti-freeze device and are expected
when ascending, this is normal).
3. Check that optional equipment fitted to the Divator Pro regulator can be
reached and managed.
4. If using a DP1 surface supply: check that air is not consumed from the
SCUBA cylinder. See the DP1 surface supply user manual for additional
details.
Warning
If using the DP1, the only indication that the diver has
switched from surface supply to the SCUBA cylinder (bail out)
is a decrease on the diver´s pressure gauge.
Extreme conditions
Diving in extreme conditions, such as diving in cold environments, requires
special training, planning and preparation.

After use
Post-dive procedures
1. If connected, disconnect the DP1 hose.
2. Pressurize the Divator Pro.
3. Rinse all parts of the Divator Pro in clean water. If the equipment is very
dirty, use a brush and a neutral cleaning agent for extended cleaning.
4. Close the cylinder valve.
5. Press the purge button on the breathing valve and turn the reserve lever
to reserve position to vent the regulator. Venting may take as long as 30
seconds. The O-ring sealing between the regulator and the cylinder valve
may be damaged if it is removed when there is pressure remaining.
6. Remove the regulator from the cylinder.
7. Allow all regulator parts to dry.
8. Blow any moisture out of the cylinder valve by opening the valve and
allowing air to escape for 1 to 2 seconds.
Warning
Blow-off noise and pressure surges may cause hearing
damage. Always use ear protectors when filling and
emptying air cylinder packs.
9. Put the dust cover on the regulator connection nipple for protection.
10. If the equipment is faulty or damaged, it must be repaired or replaced by
an Interspiro certified service technician.
11. The equipment shall be thoroughly dried if it is to be stored in a bag/box for
more than a few hours.
Service and testing
Service and testing must as a minimum be carried out according to Interspiro’s
Service and Testing Schedule with document number 30500, or according to
local requirements.
