RECYCLING

2.2. EUROPEAN DIRECTIVE 2012/09/EU: Processing WEEE (waste electrical and electronic equipment)
In accordance with Directive 2012/19/EU and French decree 2014-928, IPO Technologie, as a

2.3. EUROPEAN REACH REGULATION 1907/2006/EC (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and
Restriction of Chemicals)
The products marketed by IPO Technologie are ‘articles’ according to the REACH definition.
The chemical substances contained in our articles are not intended to be disposed of under normal
use conditions. Therefore, and according to article 7.1 of the regulation, the registration and pre-
registration phases do not apply to our situation.
The REACH regulation requires us to inform our customers of the presence of a SVHC (substance of
very high concern) if this exceeds 0.1% of the article's weight. To comply with this requirement as
effectively as possible, we have communicated our REACH approach and this information obligation
to all our suppliers.
We hereby inform you that, to the best of our knowledge, the product described in this user manual
does not contain any SVHCs over 0.1% of the article's weight.

3. Safety recommendations
3.1. DANGER
For equipment permanently connected to the mains, a readily accessible disconnect device must
be incorporated into the installation. For equipment connected via a mains socket, the socket must
be installed near to the equipment and easily accessible.
SELV (separated extra-low voltage) information: all of the equipment's circuits are SELV, apart from
the 115/230VAC mains power supply circuit. The SELV circuits must be connected to external
equipment with interfaces which are supplied by circuits of the same type (compliant with SELV
circuit requirements).
N.B. some parts of the device may have hot surfaces.
Some printed circuit boards have lithium batteries installed. Ensure that these batteries are
replaced with a model approved by the PCB manufacturer and pay particular attention to the + and
- polarity. There is a risk of explosion if the battery is not replaced correctly.
If the product contains a lithium metal battery, it contains less than 1g of lithium. IATA regulations
relating to air transport must be observed in addition to laws in the shipping and destination
countries.
The 115/230VAC mains power supply cable must be connected to an earthed socket.
The installation and use of this equipment must comply with applicable standards. The device must
be connected to a standard-compliant electrical installation.
3.2. CAUTION
This device must be set up by competent personnel with the relevant training and qualifications.
Any dismantling or modification of the device will result in the immediate loss of warranty and will
void IPO Technologie's liability for any consequences of any type.
Switch off the device before disconnecting any cables.
Ensure that you have discharged any static electricity from yourself before handling the device.
The device contains components which are sensitive to electrostatic shock.

If the product is built in, the internal temperature of the casing or other enclosure must remain
within the device’s operating temperature range.
Scrap used batteries in accordance with instructions.
Refer to appendix 2.15 of SR814.81 for information on battery disposal (Switzerland).
The product must be used in a vertical position, as shown in the image below.

6. Touchscreen option
The product has a 10-point multi-touch projected capacitive touchscreen.
The touchscreen is recognised natively as an HID (Human Interface Device) peripheral.
The touchscreen cannot function with an insulating stylus or thick gloves.
The touchscreen may malfunction if subjected to strong electromagnetic fields.
The touchscreen is connected via USB.

The "FUTURA 21WQP" product is an industrial Panel PC with a built-in 21"5 16:9 LCD monitor.
2. Package contents
The product is packaged to ensure its physical and functional integrity during transport, storage and
handling.
The package contains the following items:

Power cable for 230VAC version
The necessary software drivers and licences
The production record listing all the product manufacturing and control steps.
This record is unique and contains the product serial number for traceability
purposes.
Make sure you use the original protective packaging when returning the product for maintenance.

3. Installation and quick start-up
The FUTURA 21WQP is a compact panel PC. It is approved to comply with CE standards.
Follow the instructions below to start up the
product:
- Connect the mouse and keyboard (2 and 3)
- Connect the 230VAC power cable (1)
For direct current versions, connect the
wires to the terminal as follows:
1+ (12VDC or 24VDC or 48 VDC)
2 EARTH
3 - (GND)
- Switch on using the switch (4)
- The blue power indicator built into the switch
should come on
Numbers in bold refer to image labels.
RJ45 ethernet must be used with armoured cable in order to comply with EMC standards.

Loosen the two captive screws (2) and remove the cable tidy (1).
