INSTALLATION & ASSEMBLY OF THE SOLAR SHOWER
We recommend installation of the Outdoor Solar Shower on a solid surface to ensure stability and safety.
When using tools, care must be taken not to damage the chrome plating and/or the plastic mounting base, we
suggest using a cloth between the wrench and shower parts to avoid damage.
MOUNTING THE SOLAR SHOWER: CONCRETE/MASONRY INSTALLATION
1. Choose a location for the shower that will receive the most direct sunlight.
2. Use the steel base plate on the lower tube as a template to mark the location of the mounting holes to be drilled into the
concrete/masonry for the anchoring bolts –see Figure 3.
3. Remove shower section. Drill 10-mm (0.5-in) diameter holes, 45-mm (1.75-in) deep into the concrete/masonry surface,
using the marks just created.
4. Insert expansion nuts into drilled holes. Place the bolt inside the expansion nut and TAP with a hammer to slightly
expand the nut.
5. Remove the bolt and place the base plate/lower tube over the holes and secure to surface with bolts and washers
provided - see Figure 3.
6. Proceed with the assembly process as outlined in section ASSEMBLING THE SOLAR SHOWER.
MOUNTING THE SOLAR SHOWER: WOOD DECK INSTALLATION
1. Follow instructions #1 & #2 for Concrete/Masonry installation to mark where you want the shower installed.
2. Select appropriately sized anchoring wood screws and washers (not included) to secure the shower to the wood decking.
3. Drill starter pilot holes at the marked locations.
4. Secure the base plate to the wood deck with the large anchoring wood screws and washers.
5. Proceed with assembly as outlined in section ASSEMBLYING THE SOLAR SHOWER.

1. Turnover and layout the 4 pieces of the shower base so that the tabs interlock.
2. Press them together to make one large square base.
3. Insert the nuts into the slots on the underside of the base.
4. Set the bottom half of the shower tube on the top of the base plate.
5. Use a Philips screwdriver to align the nuts with the holes in the metal plate of the shower.
6. Insert the bolts with washers into the base plate. Thread and partially tighten each bolt.
7. Once all 4 bolts are partially tightened - proceed to firmly tighten all bolts.

8. NOTE: Do not overtighten the bolts or you may crack the plastic base.
9. Proceed with the assembly process as outlined in section ASSEMBLING THE SOLAR SHOWER.

ASSEMBLING THE SOLAR SHOWER
1. Once you have completed mounting the bottom half of the shower in your desired location you are ready to finish the
assembly process.
2. Attach the elbow tube to the shower. Attach the large shower head to the elbow tube. Use Teflon tape at both
connections to eliminate leaks - see Figure 1.
3. For the assembly of the upper and lower parts of the solar shower,see Figure 2. NOTE: The fit between the upper and
lower tubes is very tight. It may be necessary to pull down on the upper tube while wiggling from side-to-side to make
the connection is complete.
4. Once the upper tube is completely seated into the lower tube, secure the joint by tightening the locking ring.
5. Attach a garden hose to the inlet port of the shower on thebackside ofthe shower. Insert the included hose washer intothe
inlet port. Make certain that stainless steel tube assembly is securely tightened.
6. Be sure the garden hose is placed safely to avoid any tripping hazards.
NOTE: The maximum operating pressure for the solar shower is 43.5 PSI (3 bar). Operation of the shower with higher
pressure may cause NON-WARRANTY damage.

INITIAL SET UP OF THE SOLAR SHOWER
1. Turn and lift the shower handle to FULL ON - HOT position.
2. To fill the shower with water, turn the water valve for the garden hose on. Shower will take about 2 minutes to fill.
3. NOTE: Filling tube with valve in hot position ensures no air pockets are trapped inshower.This procedure is used for initial
set up only or when re-opening the shower after winterizing.
4. When water flows from the shower head, turn the shower handle off. Turning the shower off allows the water to begin
heating.
5. The shower is ready to absorb sunlight and heat the water in the black solar reservoir tube.
NOTE: The time for heating the water depends on the outside temperature and the strength of the sunlight. You can expect a
water temperature increase of about 10 degrees over the air temperature, but that can vary depending on the amount of
sunlight, time of day, and how windy it is.
CAUTION: Do not shower during lightning storms.
CAUTION: ADJUST WATER TEMPERATURE GRADUALLY FROM COOL TO HOT TO AVOID INJURY
1. Lift the handle to the ON position and you are ready to enjoy your solar heated shower!
NOTE: The water supply must be turned on for shower to run - Warm water flows at approx. 2.6 GPM (10.3 I/min).
Cold water flows at approx. 2.9 GPM (10.9 I/min).
2. Turn off the water supply to the shower when done.
WARNING: DUE TO THE SOLAR RADIATION THE WATER IN THE SOLAR RESERVOIR CAN GET HOT.
WE RECOMMEND OPENING THE HANDLE IN THE MIDDLE POSITION BETWEEN HOT AND COLD, THEN
SETTING IT TO DESIRED TEMPERATURE.
IF SHOWER HAS NOT BEEN USED FOR MORE THAN THREE DAYS, WE RECOMMEND
RUNNING THE SOLAR SHOWER FOR 2 MINUTES TO REMOVE STAGNANT WATER, STAGNANT WARM
WATER CAN DEVELOP HAZARDOUS BACTERIA.
OFF SEASON DISASSEMBLY & STORAGE:
FOR WINTERIZING THE SHOWER IN COLD WEATHER CLIMATES, THE WATER MUST BE COMPLETELY
REMOVED FROM THE SOLAR SHOWER. THE SOLAR SHOWER HAS TO BE REMOVED FROM THE
MOUNTING LOCATION AND STORED IN A DRY PLACE. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS
MAY CAUSE FROST DAMAGE. FROST DAMAGE WILL NOT BE COVERED BY THE WARRANTY.
1. Turn off and disconnect the garden hose.
2. Open the handle and allow shower to drain (approximately 2 minutes).
3. Unbolt the shower PVC tube and pour any remaining water out of unit.
4. Wipe down and store your shower parts for next season.
CAUTION: DO NOT USE SALT OR ANTI-FREEZE IN THE WATER TO PREVENT FREEZING. THIS WILL VOID
THE PRODUCT WARRANTY.
Keep this manual for future reference and pass it on to any new owners of the shower.

This product is warranted to the original purchaser to be free from defects in material or workmanship for a period of one
(1) year from the date of the original retail purchase.
This warranty does not cover defects or damage due to improper installation, alteration, accident or any other event beyond
the control of the manufacturer. Defects or damage resulting from misuse, abuse or negligence will void this warranty. This
warranty does not cover scratching or damage that may result from normal usage.
This product is not intended for institutional or commercial use; the manufacturer does not assume any liability for such use.
Institutional or commercial use will void this warranty.
This warranty is nontransferable and is expressly limited to the repair or replacement of the defective product. During the
warranty period, the manufacturer shall repair or replace defective parts at no cost to the purchaser. Shipping charges and
insurance are not covered and are the responsibility of the purchaser. Labor charges and related expenses for removal,
installation or replacement of the product or components are not covered under this warranty.
The manufacturer reserves the right to make substitutions to warranty claims if parts are unavailable or obsolete.
The manufacturer shall not be liable for loss of use of the product or other consequential or incidental costs, expenses or
damages incurred by the consumer of any other use. The user assumes all risk of injury resulting from the use of this
product.
This warranty is expressly in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, including warranties of merchantability or
fitness for use to the extent permitted by Federal or state law. Neither the manufacturer nor any of its representatives
assumes any other liability in connection with this product.
All warranty claims must include the retailer’s information where the product was originally purchased. A purchase
receipt or other proof of date of purchase will be required to process all warranty claims. The model number and
part numbers found within the assembly instructions will be required when submitting any parts requests or
warranty claims.

INSTALLATION ET MONTAGE DE LA DOUCHE SOLAIRE
Si vous n’utilisez pas la base ci-joint, nous vous recommandons d’installer la douche à une surface solide pour assurer la
stabilité et la sécurité.
En utilisant les outils, il faut veiller à ne pas rayer et / ou de chrome dommages placage. Nous vous recommandons d’utiliser
un chiffon entre les parties clé et la douche pour éviter des dommages.
MONTAGE DE LA DOUCHE: INSTALLATION BÉTON ET LA MAÇONNERIE
1. Choisissez un emplacement pour la douche qui reçoit la lumière du soleil le plus direct.
2. Utilisez la plaque de base en acier sur le tube inférieur comme modèle pour marquer la position des trous de fixation
à percer dans le béton et la maçonnerie pour les boulons d’ancrage – voir la Figure 3.
3. Retirez la douche. Percez des trous de 10 mm (0,5 po) de diamètre et 45 mm (1,75 po) de profondeur dans la surface
de béton / maçonnerie, en utilisant les marques que vous venez de créer.
4. Insérez les écrous d'expansion dans les trous percés. Placez le boulon intérieur de l’écrou d’expansion et de TAP
avec un marteau pour élargir légèrement l’écrou.
5. Retirez le boulon et le lieu de la plaque de base / tube inférieur par dessus les trous et fixer à la surface avec des
boulons et rondelles fournies –voir la Figure 3.
6. Poursuivez le processus d'assemblage tel que décrit dans la section ASSEMBLAGE DE LA DOUCHE SOLAIRE.
MONTAGE DE LA DOUCHE SOLAIRE: INSTALLATION DE PONT EN BOIS
1. Suivez les instructions # 1 & # 2 pour l'installation de béton / maçonnerie pour marquer où vous voulez installer la
douche.
2. Sélectionnez des vis à bois et des rondelles d'ancrage de taille appropriée (non incluses) pour fixer la douche au
platelage en bois.
3. Percez des avant-trous de démarrage aux emplacements marqués.
4. Fixez la plaque de base à la terrasse en bois avec les grandes vis à bois d'ancrage et les rondelles.
5. Procédez au montage comme indiqué dans la section MONTAGE DE LA DOUCHE SOLAIRE.

1. Retournez et disposez les 4 pièces du receveur de douche de manière à ce que les languettes se verrouillent.
2. Appuyez-les ensemble pour former une grande base carrée.
3. Insérez les écrous dans les fentes sous la base.
4. Réglez la moitié inférieure du tube de douche sur le dessus de la plaque de base.
5. Utilisez un tournevis cruciforme pour aligner les écrous avec les trous dans la plaque métallique de la douche.

6. Insérez les boulons avec rondelles dans la plaque de base. Vissez et serrez partiellement chaque boulon.
7. Une fois que les 4 boulons sont partiellement serrés - procéder à serrer fermement tous les boulons. REMARQUE:
Ne serrez pas trop les boulons ou vous pourriez fissurer la base en plastique.
8. Procédez au montage comme indiqué dans la section MONTAGE DE LA DOUCHE SOLAIRE.

MONTAGE DE LA DOUCHE SOLAIRE
1. Une fois que vous avez terminé de monter la moitié inférieure de la douche à l'emplacement souhaité, vous êtes prêt
à terminer le processus d'assemblage.
2. Fixez le tube du coude à la douche. Fixez la grande pomme de douche au tube de coude. Utilisez du ruban téflon
aux deux connexions pour éliminer les fuites - voir Figure 1.
3. Pour l'assemblage des parties supérieure et inférieure de la douche solaire, voir la figure 2. REMARQUE:
L'ajustement entre les tubes supérieur et inférieur est très serré. Il peut être nécessaire de tirer vers le bas sur le tube
supérieur tout en remuant d'un côté à l'autre pour établir la connexion.
4. Une fois que le tube supérieur est complètement inséré dans le tube inférieur, fixez le joint en serrant la bague de
verrouillage.
5. Attachez un tuyau d'arrosage au port d'entrée de la douche à l'arrière de la douche. Insérez la rondelle de tuyau
incluse dans l'orifice d'entrée. Assurez-vous que le tube en acier inoxydable est bien serré.
6. Assurez-vous que le tuyau d'arrosage est placé en toute sécurité pour éviter tout risque de trébuchement.
REMARQUE: La pression de fonctionnement maximale pour la douche solaire est de 43,5 PSI (3 bar). Le fonctionnement
de la douche avec une pression plus élevée peut entraîner des dommages NON-GARANTIE.

CONFIGURATION INITIALE DE LA DOUCHE SOLAIRE
1. Tournez et soulevez la poignée de douche en position FULL ON - HOT.
2. Pour remplir la douche avec de l'eau, ouvrez le robinet d'eau du tuyau d'arrosage. Ladouche prendra environ 2 minutes
à remplir.
3. REMARQUE: Le tube de remplissage avec la valve en position chaude garantit qu'aucune poche d'air n'est
emprisonnée dans la douche. Cette procédure est utilisée uniquement pour la configuration initiale ou lors de la
réouverture de la douche après l'hivernage.
4. Lorsque l'eau coule de la pomme de douche, fermez la poignée de douche. La fermeture de la douche permet à l'eau
de commencer à chauffer.
5. La douche est prête à absorber la lumière du soleil et à chauffer l'eau dans le tube du réservoir solaire noir.
REMARQUE: Le temps de chauffage de l'eau dépend de la température extérieure et de la force de la lumière du soleil.
Vous pouvez vous attendre àune augmentation de la température de l'eau d'environ 10 degrés par rapport à la température
de l'air, mais cela peut varier en fonction de la quantité de soleil, de l'heure de la journée et du vent.
ATTENTION: ne pas prendre de douche pendant les orages.
ATTENTION: AJUSTEZ LA TEMPÉRATURE DE L'EAU GRADUELLEMENT DE REFROIDISSEMENT À
CHAUD POUR ÉVITER LES BLESSURES
6. Soulevez la poignée en position ON et vous êtes prêt à profiter de votre douche chauffée à l'énergie solaire!
REMARQUE: l'alimentation en eau doit être ouverte pour que la douche fonctionne - l'eau chaude coule à env. 2,6
GPM (10,3 I / min). L'eau froide coule à env. 2,9 GPM (10,9 I / min).
7. Fermez l'alimentation en eau de la douche lorsque vous avez terminé.
AVERTISSEMENT: EN RAISON DU RAYONNEMENT SOLAIRE, L'EAU DANS LE RÉSERVOIR SOLAIRE PEUT
ÊTRE CHAUDE.
NOUS RECOMMANDONS D'OUVRIR LA POIGNÉE EN POSITION MOYENNE ENTRE CHAUD ET FROID, PUIS
LA RÉGLER À LA TEMPÉRATURE SOUHAITÉE.
SI LA DOUCHE N'A PAS ÉTÉ UTILISÉE PLUS DE TROIS JOURS, NOUS RECOMMANDONS
EN FONCTIONNANT LA DOUCHE SOLAIRE PENDANT 2 MINUTES POUR ÉLIMINER L'EAU STAGNANTE,
L'EAU CHAUDE STAGNANTE PEUT DÉVELOPPER DES BACTÉRIES DANGEREUSES.
DÉMONTAGE ET STOCKAGE HORS SAISON:
POUR L'HIVERISATION DE LA DOUCHE DANS LES CLIMATS PAR TEMPS FROID, L'EAU DOIT ETRE
TOTALEMENT ELIMINEE DE LA DOUCHE SOLAIRE. LA DOUCHE SOLAIRE DOIT ÊTRE ENLEVÉE DE
L'EMPLACEMENT DE MONTAGE ET STOCKÉE DANS UN ENDROIT SEC. LE NON-RESPECT DE CES
INSTRUCTIONS PEUT PROVOQUER DES DOMMAGES GIVRANTS. LES DOMMAGES GIVRÉS NE SERONT
PAS COUVERTS PAR LA GARANTIE.
1. Éteignez et débranchez le tuyau d'arrosage.
2. Ouvrez la poignée et laissez la douche s'écouler (environ 2 minutes).
3. Dévissez le tube de douche en PVC et versez l'eau restante de l'unité.
4. Essuyez et rangez vos pièces de douche pour la saison prochaine.
ATTENTION: NE PAS UTILISER DE SEL OU D'ANTIGEL DANS L'EAU POUR EMPÊCHER LA CONGÉLATION.
CECI ANNULERA LA GARANTIE DU PRODUIT.
Conservez ce manuel pour référence future et remettez-le à tout nouveau propriétaire de la douche.
