1. Overview
The iAGE420-UFE RAID Subsystem is a cost-effective solution for
easy-to-use external storage of high performance and large capacity
with a very small footprint. The variety of interfaces oneSATA,
USB2.0, 1394B allows user directly connecting to the host computer
without requiring any extra Raid add-on cards or drivers. NR700C can
be easily attached to any standardPC and Apple workstations and
managed with its build-in multiple hardware Raid level of Raid 0, 0+1,
5, 5S(Spare) for data protection and performance enhancement.

1. Drawingout 4HDD Trays from Enclosureand installing HDD on
each Tray(Figure 4-1).
2. Setting Raid Level that you want to create on the “Raid Level Setting Button” of
rear Panel (Figure 4-2)

3. Plug in Power cable and Turn on the Power Switch
4. When you hear beep sound then starting to install four Tray(with
H DD) back to Enclosure gradually (Figure 4-3)
5. LCD display will show the information of “Create New Raid Yes or No”
Then select “YES”, if you want to create a new Raid and push “ENT”
for starting HDD initial(Figure 4-4)
6. At the moment LCD display will show the percentage for HDD initial.
It may take one or two hours if you install the capacity of Hard
Drive over 500G.
7.After the Enclosure finish HDD initial, select an interface cable
(USB 2.0, FireWireB or eSATA) that you want to connect to host
a nd plug it between Enclosure and Host

5. Checking the Hard Drives from System( Windows User)
1. Right click My Computerand click Manage.
2. From the Computer Management window, select Disk Management. (Figure 5-1)
3. If the Initialize and Convert Disk Wizard window appears, click Cancel.
4. Windows operation system will list all the hard drives that are installed on the system.
Locate the NR700C drive that is represented by the i con. Right click the icon and select
Initialize.
5. In the drive box to the right shows Unallocated, right click and select New Partition.
(Figure 5-2)
6. The New Partition Wizard dialog box will appear, click Next to continue. (Figure 5-3)
7. After selecting partition type, specifying partition size and assigning drive letter, the Format
Partition dialog box (Figure 5-4)) will appear, you have the option of selecting the Quick
Format option. This allow mach fast formatting, however, this disallow Disk Management to
check the drive sector for errors. Click Next to start the format process.
8. Your drive should now appear in your My Computerand ready for use.
