INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing the Ivation Energy Star Dehumidifier. This
User Guide is intended to provide you with guidelines to ensure that
operation of this product is safe and does not pose risk to the user.
Any use that does not conform to the guidelines described in this
User Guide may void the limited warranty.
Please read all directions before using the product and retain this
guide for reference. This product is intended for household use only.
It is not intended for commercial use.
This product is covered by a limited one-year warranty. Coverage is
subject to limits and exclusions. See warranty for details.
The dehumidifier is Energy Star rated for quality assurance
(www.energystar.gov).

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
WARNING! Please read and understand all instructions and warnings before
operating this product. Failure to read and follow these precautions and
instructions could result in a fire, explosion, electric shock, or other hazards
that can cause injury or damage the product. Keep this manual for future
reference.
• Properly dispose of all packing materials immediately after unpacking
product, as the bags used for packaging could present a suocation or
choking hazard.
• Read all instructions carefully before attempting to operate this device.
Improper usage could result in a reduction in ecacy.
• Before plugging this device in, check that the power cord and wattage/
voltage of the outlet complies with the recommended wattage/voltage
on the rating label.
• Before cleaning, make sure to completely turn o and unplug this
appliance.
• Never let any hard or heavy objects press into or sit atop the power cord
to avoid damaging the cord or creating an electric shock hazard.
• Never remove the plug from the outlet or attempt to move the
dehumidifier by yanking or pulling on the power cord.
• Never use any heating device (space heater, fireplace, etc.) near the
dehumidifier.
• Never remove the plug from the power supply or handle any other
electrical parts of the dehumidifier with wet hands.
• Always make sure the power cable is plugged into a grounded outlet, the
plug is undamaged, and the connection is secure before turning on the
appliance.
• Never place the dehumidifier under any wet and/or dripping objects.
• Disconnect the unit fully from the power supply when placing it in long-
term storage. This dehumidifier includes a memory function that stores
and remembers any programmed settings when the unit is unplugged, so
your settings will be saved when you plug it back in and resume use.
• Empty the water bucket before storing the unit.
• Never unplug the unit before turning it o as this can damage the
dehumidifier.
• Never attempt to repair or disassemble this appliance by yourself for any
reason.
• If at any point you notice a device malfunction or abnormal behavior (for
example, a burning odor emitting from the unit), immediately disconnect
the product from the power supply and contact Ivation customer service.
• Never dispose of this product with regular household waste. If you intend
to dispose of this product, contact your local waste disposal service for
information about how to properly dispose of a product of this nature.
• Young children should always be supervised around this appliance to

ensure that they do not play with or climb on it.
• User maintenance and cleaning should always be conducted with adult
supervision. Children should not be allowed to maintain or clean this device.
• Use of an extension cord is not recommended with this appliance.
• If for some reason the power cord becomes damaged, it must be replaced
by either Ivation, an authorized serviceperson, or a similarly qualified
professional as soon as possible. Do not attempt to repair or replace the
power cord on your own.
SAFE USE REQUIREMENTS
• The dehumidifier is only intended for indoor residential use. It should not
be used for commercial or industrial spaces or else it may not perform as
intended and could present a safety hazard.
• Always place the dehumidifier on a smooth, level floor.
• When operating, this device will have no eect on adjacent enclosed areas,
such as closets or pantries, as long as they remain enclosed. If the door to
such an area is left open, the dehumidifier may remove humidity from that
space as well.
• Make sure to place this appliance in an area where the temperature will
not fall outside the specified working range of 41 °F – 96 °F (5 °C – 36 °C)
and where the humidity will remain within the specified working range of
35% – 85%. Please note that outside of these ranges the dehumidifier will
not function properly, and could present a safety hazard if you attempt to
operate it.
• Always make sure to allow at least 8" of air space on all sides of this device.
• To improve the eciency of this appliance, we recommend closing all
doors, windows, and other openings to spaces outside the room in which it
is installed.
• Make sure the air inlet is kept clean and free from blockage at all times.
• Never use a dehumidifier in a bathroom.
• Avoid exposure to direct sunlight.
• When using the unit to dry clothes, ensure that they are at least 15.7" away
to keep the unit from getting wet.
• Do not use this dehumidifier near a radiator as this can limit its ability to
collect water from the air.
• Do not run the unit without an air filter installed.

Press to turn the dehumidifier on and o.

Turn o the FILTER LED indicator (automatically turns on after 250
hours of operation to remind you to clean the filter).
CCOMFORT
Press to run dehumidifier on a preset humidity level.

Press to activate continuous operation.
ETURBO
Press to adjust between normal or high fan speed.
FTIMER
Press to set a time when the device turns o. When the unit is on, press
the TIMER button to adjust the “Timer O” setting. Press the TIMER
button again to adjust the “Timer On” setting. Once you reached
your desired time, wait five (5) seconds for the dehumidifier to save
your settings. The time can be set between a range of 0 - 24 hours.
GLEFT/RIGHT ARROWS
Press to adjust the time being set for “Timer On” and for “Timer O”.
HPUMP
Press to activate pump operation. (Pump model only)
ERROR CODES
If a malfunction occurs, a error code will appear on the display. If this happens,
make sure to turn o and unplug the dehumidifier before servicing the unit.
AS – Humidity sensor error: Unplug the unit and plug it back in. If the error
repeats, contact an authorized serviceperson.
ES – Tube temperature sensor of the evaporator error: Unplug the unit and plug
it back in. If the error repeats, contact an authorized serviceperson.
P2 – Bucket is full, or bucket is not in right position error: Empty the bucket and
place the bucket back in the unit properly.
Eb – Bucket is removed, or bucket is not in right position error: Empty the bucket
and place the bucket back in the unit properly. (Only available for pump model)

DEHUMIDIFIER SETUP
• Place the dehumidifier in an upright
position on a flat, level surface.
• Ensure that there is proper
clearance on all sides of the
dehumidifier, as illustrated.
• When using the dehumidifier to dry
clothes, be sure to keep them at
least 15.7" away from the unit.
• For best results, use the
dehumidifier in a central location
like a landing or hallway. Do not place it in front of a radiator
or in direct sunlight.
SAFE OPERATION TIPS
• Do not insert small objects into the unit to avoid product
damage.
• Do not remove the water bucket while in operation to avoid
water leaking.
• Ensure the water bucket is fitted correctly. If the bucket is full
or is not in place, the full bucket indicator will light up and the
unit will stop.
• Keep the unit on a level surface during use. If the unit is tilted
while in use, the device will stop running until it is properly set
up again. Once the device is properly set up again, operation
will resume with all previous settings. Only a timer will
continue to count while in a tilted state.
OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
AUTOMATIC & ALERT FUNCTIONS
Auto Start & Auto Stop
Device will automatically start and stop depending on the “Timer On”
and “Timer O” settings that were set.
Water Bucket Alert
The full bucket light will come on when the bucket is full and ready to be
emptied.
Auto Defrost
When frost builds up on the evaporator coils, the auto defrost light will
come on, the compressor will cycle o, and the fan will continue to run
until the frost evaporates.
Auto Shuto
When the water bucket is full, removed, or not locked correctly in place,
the dehumidifier will shut itself o entirely. The dehumidifier will resume
operation after one (1) minute.

Auto Restart
In the case of a power outage or interruption, the unit will automatically
restart and operate with the last saved settings after the power is
restored.
Check Filter Alert
A light will come on after 250 hours of use to indicate that the filter
needs to be cleaned. Once the filter is cleaned and placed back into the
unit, you can press the Filter button to turn o the light.
EMPTYING THE WATER BUCKET
When the water bucket is full, the bucket alert light will appear
on the display.
1. Turn o the dehumidifier before attempting to remove the
water bucket.
2. Remove the water bucket by pulling it out from the front of
the dehumidifier.
3. Lift the water bucket by the handle, dispose of the water,
then clean the water bucket before placing it back
inside the dehumidifier.
NOTES: Clean the bucket with clean water if needed. Do
not use abrasive solvents or hot water.
Be careful not to remove or damage the float in the
bucket, or the unit will not work properly.
If the water bucket is replaced incorrectly, the icon will
blink on the display.
CONTINUOUS DRAINING
1. Remove the drain knob on the drain hose outlet in the back
of the unit, revealing the drain hole.
2. Lead the drain hose (not included) through the revealed
drain hole. Be sure that it does not bend in any place.
NOTES: Do not remove the water bucket when connecting the
hose.
Make sure the hose connected to the unit is going downward so
that water easily flows out of the unit.
When you remove the drain knob from the drain hose outlet make sure
to put a bucket under the drain hose outlet. Water will leak out of the
drain hose outlet when not covered by drain knob.
PUMP DRAINING (PUMP MODEL ONLY)
NOTE: The unit must be in PUMP mode for the pump to work. The
drainage pump will not run continuously but will turn on and o as the
float detects water in the bucket. Water will accumulate in the bucket
until the bucket is 90% full. At that point, the pump will activate and

drain the bucket to 75% full. Water will always remain in the bucket even
when pump draining is operating.
Installation
1. Place the plastic cover back on the drain hose outlet in the
back of the unit.
2. Push the gray rubber ring in and remove the plug to open
the pump hose attachment.
3. Insert the pump hose (included with pump models) into the
pump hose outlet.
4. Run the drain hose to the location where you want water
to drain. The pump can push water up to 16 ft. (5 m)
horizontally or vertically. Do not exceed this distance to avoid
drainage or device malfunctions.
5. Lead the other end of the pump hose to a drain or suitable drainage
disposal.
6. Press the PUMP button on the control panel to start the pump
operation.
NOTE: The dehumdifier may make noise when the pump function first
activates. This is normal and should only last for one (1) or two (2)
minute(s).
Removal
1. Push the gray rubber ring in to open the pump hose attachment.
2. While pushing the gray rubber ring in, pull hard to remove the pump
hose.
3. Once the pump hose is disconnected, insert the plug and ensure the
gray rubber ring goes back to its normal position.
NOTES: When not using the pump drain option, leave the plug in the
pump hose attachment port to prevent leaking.
Make sure the pump hose is properly installed to avoid leaks and spills.
The pump light will start to blink if pump operations fail. If so, turn o
the unit and unplug the power cord. Remove the water bucket and clean
the filter of the pump before starting up the unit again.
The interior pump sucks up water in the bucket
allowing the water to be drained. When the
bucket is taking out too fast, it may cause the
interior pump to hang down which can block the
bucket from being properly reinstalled. If you see
interior pump hanging inside the dehumidifier,
simply push the interior pump up to lock it back
in it's proper place.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
CLEANING THE UNIT
1. Turn o the dehumidifier. When the fan stops running, unplug
the unit from the power supply.
2. Clean the surface with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive
chemicals or cleaners.
3. Dry with a towel after cleaning.
4. Never pour water or cleaning solution directly on the unit. This
may cause damage.
5. Use a vacuum or brush to clean air outlet grill.
CLEANING THE FILTER
It is recommended to clean the filter once every two (2) weeks.
1. Turn o the unit, then unlatch the filter from the back of the
unit.
2. Wash the filter with clean water, then gently wipe it dry.
3. Return the filter to its original position.
CLEANING THE BUCKET
1. Fill the bucket with clean water and add in a little detergent.
2. Mix and swirl the detergent and water together in bucket.
3. Empty out the solution, rinse out the bucket, and dry the
bucket.
LONG-TERM STORAGE
1. Turn o the dehumidifier. When the fan stops running, unplug
the unit from the power supply.
2. Clean and dry the water bucket. Do not use hot water or risk
warping the plastic.
3. Let the unit dry out for at least one (1) day.
4. Clean the filter and the unit as described above.
5. Wrap the power cord around the power cord holder.
6. Cover the unit with a plastic bag in order to prevent it from
gathering dust.
7. Store upright in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
